I was already a customer of this vet office when it had a previous owner. I had a few years gap and didn't need any vet services. But in the last 2 years I needed vet services. Decided to try since new owners and to see if I felt the same. Last year I had to put down one of my dogs due to an illness that was not treatable. The new staff and Vet were so nice and loving and worked with me in costs that in a time like that means a lot. This week my other dog had some allergies so I called the office and asked if I could stop by for a shot as soon as they open. The staff that helped stared no problem come in at 8am and we will have you in and out right away. I arrived at 7:50 and after letting my dog go potty went inside approx 7:55. Welcomed and greeted by the staff by my dogs name which I thought was a nice touch and my dog got her shot ASAP and I was out the door by 8:15-8:20 Very convenient, fast and great service with care... price was fair I recommend this vet to anyone in the Hockley/Waller area..even if in cypress not to far of drive read more

I absolutely love this veterinary clinic. I couldn't even say just one doctor is great, they are all great. Extremely compassionate and caring for your animals. When my dog comes in nervous Dr. Gaffrey will sit on the ground and make sure my dog feels safe, even if he's still uneasy I know his tension decreases when he does that. They have gotten me in usually on last minute notice for urgent visits and always have availability for annual visits. Highly recommend this veterinary clinic read more

I am new to the area and I asked my Nextdoor app friends who should I take my dogs to..... Everyone said Stoneside. They were absolutely correct. The entire staff is kind and compassionate. I moved here from Florida. I loved my vet there but they would always take my dogs to the back to give shots or draw blood, etc. I never liked that. Stoneside let's you see exactly what they are doing to your pet and they explain it in detail. It was refreshing! Dr. G is fantastic, and a hockey fan, BONUS! I'll continue to take my 3 babies there. P. S. While I do enjoy a lot of old school people giving me ideas about how to treat different ailments in animals- the most laughable so far, give your dog a salt cube every month n they'll never have heart worms. My senior dog Ace and I absolutely love everyone here! They are so kind and you can really tell they care! Everyone does the everything they can for Ace to make sure he's comfortable. His doggy wheels broke down this past visit and we are currently waiting on replacements. So what did the Stoneside staff do? They came outside and did his check up to make him not have to walk uncomfortably. So thankful for everyone here! 10/10 would definitely recommend. read more

I just wanted to take a moment to write a review for the clinic we just came from. This is not normally something I would do, but when things are done so well I felt compelled to do so. We are first time fosters and have taken on the task of fostering pups there were premature. It has been a tremendous labor of love and I have gotten so very attached to these pups in the six weeks we have had them so it was important that their first doctor visit be a pleasant one. Dr. Gaffrey and his staff could not have been nicer. They took the time to listen to us and answer all the questions we had. Stoneside Veterinary Hospital is amazing. The staff is super friendly. The facility is spotless and the location is convenient! The pricing is fair and in line or slightly lower than what other vets in the area charge. Dr. Gaffrey is incredible. He takes the time to explain what is going on with your pet in laymen terms. He treats my cat for feline asthma and our dog for Cushing's disease. At one point, our dog was not being herself. Dr. Gaffrey immediately took action by slightly adjusting her medicine and she was back to her old self within a few days. My senior cat has done excellent under his care for her asthma. Oh my gosh, where do I start? This is absolutely the very BEST VET that I have ever seen. He was very thoughtful in his diagnosis and spent the TIME doing the treatments. I came in TWICE: once with a SICK rabbit and once with a SICK duck. He sought advice on my duck and sent me home with 13 pre measured vials of antibiotic to administer via mouth. This place needs to work on their people skills and understand their limitations as a facility. If you aren't equipped to handle something. SAY SO. don't "accept the challenge" or what ever you think it is. More like accepting $1300. I understand some situations are anything but ideal but you should chose your words wisely and be conscientious about how those words might come across to someone who may or may not lose their animal in the very near future. There's a way to present things to people that make them understanding and accepting of a situation and there's the complete flip side of this that makes people question why the heck they ever left their pet (WHO IS A PART OF THEIR FAMILY!!!!!) with these people. Our family's biggest question was. {partA} If you couldn't successfully syringe feed (force feed?) our dog why didn't you call to tell us this? Why did it take us asking if you had tried to syringe feed for you to say "well we tried but couldn't get his mouth open." And when we asked if we needed to come do it your response was "you can if you want to" WHAT THE HECK!? We CAN IF WE WANT TO?!?! I WOULD HAVE BEEN THERE THIS MORNING IF I HAD KNOWN! A simple update phone call and saying that you still hadn't gotten him to eat and you couldn't successfully feed him and saying something about "we will continue to try but if you're interested in coming by here sometimes owners have better luck because the dog is more relaxed" or something of that nature. Would have made it come across a whole lot better. {partB} why were we able to get his oral medicine and an entire feeding syringe down in maybe 20 minutes and y'all couldn't? Isn't that your job(that goes back to the, not taking on cases you are not equipped to take on part from the beginning) I try to see all sides of situations. I understand that maybe it was a legality/liability thing with trying to open his mouth to feed him. He was a 100 pound dog after all. But if that was the case. Say so. Be straight forward. I also understand a dog with parvo has continuous uncontrollable bowel movements and it is pretty much impossible to keep them clean. You may have bathed and thoroughly cleaned the dog less than an hour ago but they are already filthy again. Completely understandable. But under no circumstances should you release a dog back to the owners completely covered in feces. Maybe you could have brought us back to the kennels (that we knew we're clean bc we saw them the night before and said something like. "We just bathed him but he's dirty again. This isn't going to be pretty but we wanted to show you a little preview/give you a little heads up about what your reality is about to be for the immediate future." and show us the kennel covered in diarrhea. Our dog included. And then say something like. "This just happened so we still need to clean him off if you'll wait a few min" and hose him off. Or skip showing us the poopoo palace and just hose him off. Don't give me my dog (that you know is about to go inside my car) covered in poop and expect us to be like. Omg thank you. Bye! That's ridiculous. My Mother In law and I had to ask for paper towels or anything to clean him off with. Now here's a complete 180 flip to my entire review tone. Sorry if I slip up on your name. I GIVE ALLY FIVE STARS she was wonderful. She helped us clean up Popeye for about 30 minutes before we left and made sure we got him into the car safely. I'm pretty sure everyone there knew he didn't have much longer in this world and I'm pretty sure the vet was ashamed of how they were trying to give him to us because he wouldn't even really look at us. And he totally just "fed her to the wolves" If you will. He didn't want to deal with 2 mad customers so he completely disappeared and made his employee deal with the whole thing so he don't have to. She looked legitimately upset about our situation and I appreciate that. Good job ally. U did great&your boss is a jerk and a bad superior for doing that to you. read more

Very pleased with this veterinary office. I used to drive all the way to Sugarland because i am very, very picky on who takes care of my baby girl. All the girls are very nice & helpful. I especially favor Ally because she gets stuck with us alot. My girl is old & uncooperative and Ally is very sweet, very gentle with her. Dr. Gaffrey explains everything really well. I need things explained well to me. What I HIGHLY appreciate is that they do NOT run unnecessary test like many of the veterinarians do. Prices are affordable. Options are explained. I rarely make recommendations but in this case i do highly recommend them! read more

We love Dr. Gaffrey and his staff. They were very kind and went well above and beyond when our senior dog had an eye related emergency and worked with us for a care plan that kept our pet comfortable but was also affordable for us. They are also great with our very anxious puppy and do a great job calming her. We used to use another local vet in the cypress area and are so glad we switched. read more
