Review #507 January…read more31, 2025 - Friday My review for P J Hebert is 50 /50 in words since they are now out of business!? My review is based on past purchases of firewood. Please view my previous and current out of business photos. Previously in the past two years I have purchased deliveries of firewood as seen in my photos attached. This business also sold mulch, stones, rocks for landscaping residents with a delivery fee. The firewood delivery from 10/22/2022 was seasoned and burned very well in my family room fireplace with insert and adjustable heat blower fan. The salesman and owner was Joel and secretary Cindy very helpful on the phone and in person. (photo attached of business card) Driver Geoff was polite and efficient with the dump truck and my property with a charge for delivery of $40.00. The price of firewood was good and satisfied my need to burn in the Fall and Winter cold months in Michigan. Now when I called the office at the beginning of January to request a firewood delivery I heard a long recording with selections to different departments and then was never connected. Instead I left 3 messages and as of today I called and left My final message that I am no longer a happy customer. If they have moved to another location then SAY SO! If they have completely gone out of business then SAY SO or leave a sign message on the office doors out front! Lack of communication for 4 weeks to customers calling is very impolite! I was a satisfied and pleased customer with P J Hebert for firewood but unfortunately I have to move on and start a new flame for firewood elsewhere. Karen N. We called Rob for a quote and to help paint a vision for design. This is where Rob shines. We only knew that we wanted a focal point, fire pit area for entertaining and to reclaim much of the unusable, untamed land. Rob brought in pictures, samples, walked the property with me and my Wife multiple times as we refined and honed the vision. With this type of larger scale land and hard-scaping it would be nearly impossible to design the entire project ahead of time. That's where our faith in Rob and the Sinacori crew is essential. Rob actually grew up in our sub and between that, seeing many of their projects first hand and knowing their excellent reputation we moved forward with a $25k+ project that we felt was a reasonable price for the scope of work. The best way for us to describe the outcome is one word - oasis. The project took 6 days in total and started with brush removal and excavating a path to what would become the dramatic fire pit focal point dug out of the side of a sloping hill. Each day Rob would meet with us multiple times to update on progress, ask questions and plan for the coming stages/work. This gave us time to think and plan and made for an incredibly collaborative relationship that translated into a project that has exceeded our expectations. Each day the crew was on time, stayed the expected duration, were efficient and thoroughlu cleaned up at the end of the day. Very impressed with their work ethic. I can't possibly do justice to the process and outcome in this write up other than to say - if you are considering any size project please give Rob and the Sonacori Team a call and trust in their incredibly skilled, plan full, efficient and professional approach. Coming here's a pleasure because their not a huge facility like Bordine's or Lowe's. Parking's tight but doable you just have to be careful when backing out since it's literally on Auburn Road, which is super busy and the speed limit's 50 MPH. They have a great selection of items to choose from, and prices are competitive and fair. What keeps me coming back is the staff. Their super friendly and are extremely knowledgeable. They also have regular sales and keep up with seasonal stuff like pumpkins, Christmas décor and other stuff as well. They also stand behind their products so if you buy a tree or plant, I think they will credit you if it does die. Don't quote me on that, but these guys really do stand behind what their selling. Overall a fabulous little nursery in a world of big box stores, we love coming here for just about anything!
