Man, you have to be VERY hungry to eat in this place. Seriously. And of course, it's a good value for the money. I got a nice rump steak for about £6-something )I don`t remember the price because it was a treating and I didn`t pay for anything. Nice!) and the chip portion was generous. Food tastes really nice there. It`s definitely homemade and the service is really nice. Actually, fair play to the girl who was serving us. She seems to be barmaid, manager and anything else in that place. She keeps the pub running well. I would say. Multi task people: my favourite ones! This pub has also a different meal for the day in a cost of over 6 pounds. Really nice options. And the cakes seemed to be pretty fresh! I wish i had more room for some pudding. If you can find the place, it really is a nice thing to stop by. It`s in the junction 11 of M6, by the way. There is a huge playground and kids won't be bored.

The pub has the Cask Marque and has a good range of guest beers along with a selection of Lagers, Ciders and Wines. There is even a very good selection of Malt Whiskey's to. Children are always made welcome till 9 0'clock and the beer garden catches the sun in the afternoon on nice days, so it nice to sit out the back and relax. Certainly worth a visit if you are in the area as you are always made welcome.

I had the pork dinner which came with; stuffing, carrots, green beans, sprouts, mashed potato and roast (I think deep fried) potatoes (5/6). The veg were cooked fine for me as I like "al dente" and there was 1 and a bit thick slices of pork. I enjoyed it. The place itself is very old and like walking into a old hall with open fires which seemed welcoming. There were others like myself who had not visited before who seemed to enjoy the food too. I will visit again as it is very good value.

I must say a small crowd recently came to celebrate a birthday and most of us had something different. The presentation was spot on and tasted even better. The bar staff and waitresses are very friendly. You can sit outside in the sunshine, there is a smoking area and a large car park. Well worth a visit

Don't bother!…read more They ran out of beer and were selling from cans the last time I visited. Not very welcoming, the toilets stink, the seats are all ripped, a no go for children. It is closed at the moment as the brewery are clearly struggling to get someone to take on the lease.
