This is one of the cosiest and probably one of the most traditional feeling pubs in the village. Wooden benches and old covered chairs, nooks and crannies and two huge chimney breasts which are always filled with crackling fire in winter.
The bar isn't the most varied, and they were quite possibly one of the last pubs in this kingdom to put lime in him instead of a slice of lemon, but they have enough of a range to keep everyone happy, particularly on their ales and whiskies.
The staff are always friendly, and when it fills up you get that pleasant bustling and clinking of glasses, it is a bit of a locals joint, but they really are all very welcoming, I've never known there to be any trouble here.
