Man, you have to be VERY hungry to eat in this place. Seriously. And of course, it's a good value for the money. Food tastes really nice there. It`s definitely homemade and the service is really nice. Actually, fair play to the girl who was serving us. She seems to be barmaid, manager and anything else in that place. She keeps the pub running well. I would say. Multi task people: my favourite ones! This pub has also a different meal for the day in a cost of over 6 pounds. Really nice options. And the cakes seemed to be pretty fresh! I wish i had more room for some pudding. If you like your steak you will love it here they do a whopping 48oz steak for the hungry guys! Also a huge mixed grill, a massive stack burger called "the Beast" and plenty more other stuff to choose from, and home made chips too! The restaurant part of the pub is not too big so on Friday and Saturday it's booking or you will be disappointed but during the week it's quiet and you can just drop in. Prices are reasonable and servings are a nice size, drinks prices are also quite reasonable. I've eaten here a few times now and it's become my new first choice for meals out!

Foodwise, my only disappointment has been how hugely over cooked was my overcooked salmon, I wasn't too perky about that, definitely should be pink not white in my book, but it was a really generous slab of the stuff. The reason that it's middling in the stars, is that, no matter what time you go, the bar always seems understaffed (enough for someone to stick their hands in the till and run off once whilst we were having lunch there) and the food does take some time to come, so if you want something quickly, or your company is an irritating in law or a dreaded date, this is not the menu for you.
