We used to love this place. Tonight we ordered a tri-tip Bbq salad and a carrot cake (which was the main reason for us going here) for takeout. We got home and ate the salad which was mediocre at best. The Meat was fatty and tasted old. The highlight was going to be the carrot cake!! Buuuuut- they put cheesecake in our bag instead. Ugh. So I made a 20 minute phone call to the store and 2 call backs later to find out they can't credit on Apple Pay...they did however say that would send a $20 gift card to my home. That is respectable business practices, hence the 3 star instead of 2. I have been going here for years (since they opened over 20 years ago) but sadly it's lost its touch. This location has gotten awful recently. The last few times we've gone here things have been forgotten. Tonight they forgot our lemonade with a kids meal and the worst part was there was MOLD in the apple juice and we didn't notice until some of it was drunk already. Absolutely disgusting. Service, never had a bad experience with the employees :) Food, bomb breadsticks, and the tritip salad is my go to! Price, reasonable. Portions have gotten smaller over the years in my opinion. This is not the first time I have been in Stonefire and honestly thought I had reviewed it years ago. We came in for lunch today (Friday) around 12:30. There was a line out the door and two employees were taking names and asking not to order until a table was open and they would let you know. We waited only a few minutes before we were told the table was ready and we could order. My wife got the mediterranean salad bowl which was only $6.99 and I got the classic burger that was $7.49 and came with chips on the side. I did not try her's but she said that she had "found her dish" meaning this was so good she would not order anything other than it when we came back. For me the burger was good, the bun was a little too soft, not sure what kind it was but the burger was falling apart at the halfway point. The chips were good, not sure if they make them there or if they buy but they tasted like they made them. Overall it was pretty good, not bad on price either. We have been dining at Stonefire Grill, Valencia, California, since it opened . In the most recent months we have ordered take out three times. To our surprise the quality of food has Diminished . The breadsticks appears to have been stabbed with a fork. They are now dry and taste doughy. The Salmon(1/2) lb is way over cooked and dried out. The Garlic/lemon chicken is overcooked and dry. What happen to your quality of food? Did you get a new cook?? We threw out the salmon and chicken. Please improve. read more

My go to foods whenever I come here is the healthy hybrid salad (with added tri tip) their burger (can't remember exact name) their pesto pasta (SO GOOD) & of course their tri tip (& all the sides.) So in short, I'm obsessed with everything here. The food here comes in big portions & are filled with tons of flavoring. I highly recommend catering from here as well, you get huge portions at extremely reasonable prices. Food here is easily 10/10. Service: when it comes to pick up the service here is very quick & efficient I've never had an issue wiry pick up. However, eating in is a different story. Sometimes I have a good experience dining in sometimes I don't. My last experience dining in was pretty bad. They got my order completely wrong after I specified multiple times what I wanted so as a result I ended up having to wait extra long for my meal while everyone enjoyed there's. Honestly though I won't let this bad experience keep me from coming back because the food here is that good! Today 12/14/23 @ 1:30 my employees and I went to Stone fire grill for our Christmas luncheon... it was very busy during the lunch rush, but the manager names Lizzie was able to have her crew set up some table to accommodate our small party . She was very helpful and answered all questions we had . She made suggestions that made our experience at the restaurant a pleasant one . Our server his name was Jay was very prompt , patient and helpful while taking our large order . The staff had our food out to us, it was hot fresh and plenty for all of us to enjoy . For all of us we appreciate the great service and experience at this location. I would recommend others to try the food , service and food quality is great . After dining in last week for my first time in years, using the gift card given us for Christmas but to not quite an enjoyable dinner experience. We returned today for lunch and to use up the remaining balance on the card. Lunch today was a much improved experience over our last visit. We went with a couple of their Lunch Specials. For Jackie it was a Salmon Garden Salad, while I chose the BBQ Beef Sandwich, which was superb! No trouble with tenderness or not enough sauce with this tri-tip, unlike that served last week. And one of my fellow Yelpers pointed out that you can get extra sauce, supplied right along side the plates and flatware. But this sandwich needed no additives. I also had their potato chips which are very good as well. But we believe they made the mistake of giving my wife an extra salad, before her order of salmon and salad arrived. Oh well, she was already well into the first salad by then, sharing some with me. Extra for home. Decent size too. My faith in Stonefire Grill has been restored. Ordered a family meal only to come home and realize that some items were missing. Called the location and spoke to a manager and got issued a refund. The biggest issue wasn't the refund, it was the fact that my plans got ruined because I was on a schedule and to top it off I only received a refund which is expected obviously considering I didn't receive the items. Would've liked for management to say I apologize for the inconvenience, but allow me to make things better by issuing you a discount or some type of credit for going through this situation, which was not my fault.
