The breakfast is very good and large portions. Lunch, well I wasn't impressed today. I had a simple BLT. It was so skimpy for a restaurant sandwich and it was t cheep. One piece of lettuce one slice of tomato hardly any mayo and one stop of bacon on each half. I won't be getting f that again. What does a BLT cost a restaurant to make ? $2 or $3? Stonebridge breakfasts are one of the best reasons to pull all nighters. If you get there too late on a weekend morning, the line is out the door because the restaurant is packed with families, hungover college kids, and anyone else who wants a great breakfast at a good price. I've never had a bad experience here. It's easy to get to and just a few miles from the Stonehill campus if you're a college kid looking for a change from the Commons. The ambiance is very family-oriented, cute, and close-knit, employees are super friendly, and the food never disappoints. I'm flabberghasted as to why this place received so many favorable reviews. The service was okay, but the food I had was not worthy. I knew not to expect much when I learned that they use canned mushrooms. Those things should be outlawed. So I ordered a soft veggie omelette, no mushrooms, light on the cheese with fruit on the side instead of home fries. What I was ultimately served was a HARD omelette with gobs of cheese and a crazy ratio of over mutilated veggies. I ate it anyway....thankfully they had hot sauce. Then" I tried the fruit. Again, dissapointing. The fruit was not fresh. Each piece of fruit was confused about it's identity. I'm glad my goal was to spend quality time with an old friend, otherwise I might have been extremely dissapointed by my experience here. read more

What a disappointment! The place is very clean and the server was amazing, but when the menu says "cheese," there should be cheese in the menu item. I cannot believe that they serve Velveeta instead of cheese. Processed cheese food is not cheese--especially since they have an item on the menu called the "low carb skillet." If you're ordering low-carb, you probably care about your health and would never touch processed cheese food. I know i gave them three stars even though the foods great and staff friendly. The prices are reasonable for the portions. Ive only had breakfast but others have told me the lunch items are excellent as well. Now for the reason i gave them only three stars is the plaza itself. This is a very busy plaza with several businesses so parking is tough. Even pulling in and out of the plaza is difficult. If you go early enough this isnt a problem usually . This place has really amazing food. I come here constantly with my boyfriend and his roommate. There is always a wait, but it's well worth it. This place would get five stars if it was based on food alone. I ticked off a star because of the renovations. I know they had a fire and took the opportunity to re-do the place. Honestly, I wish they would have moved locations or even rented out one of the neighboring places and expanded, because they still have no idea how to deal with and manage the volume of their customers. Lines are out the door, and now they have a "waiting list" but it really makes no difference. The renovations took away more tables, so there is more waiting time. Also, the renovations gave it kind of a Boston-dineresque atmosphere, and it really lost it's homey feel it had before. I will definitely keep coming here because the breakfast is phenomenal. It's our local breakfast joint with barely any competitors so we're sorta forced to go there to get our morning breakfast take out fix. So hopefully they don't see my GIANT HEAD on my review and get bent out of shape. ..(note to self: replace head with powderpuff girl pic) All in all the food is decent but very very bland. The homefries have no seasoning that I can taste and are dry as a bone. I prefer my homefries with a little spice (garlic paprika pepper anything?). I have gotten charged 2 dollars to add onions to a scrambled egg dish which I thought was sort of nutso. I've paid a dollar or so for "extra" cheese and gotten 1 slice of cheese which is the usual which is laid on top of the scrambled eggs. (I find that weird since it's scrambled eggs so why not scramble the cheese in to it? the cheese/egg ratio is off) The good things: The people that answer the phone are usually nice enough. Came with my family, table of 4 and after waiting 30 minutes to sit (not a problem, we knew it would be busy), it took over an hour for us to get our food. Then when we got it, it was bad. I ordered the corned beef hash and it was the same frozen package you get at the store, hastily fried and slapped on the plate. I couldn't eat it, it was mushy and flavorless. The 'home fries' taste like frozen potatoes from a box. I was expecting something home made. Pancakes, which are my favorite, were gross. They had absolutely no taste and had a tough consistency, maybe the batter was mixed poorly. It's upsetting because I used to like this place. I used to love Stonebridge and was devastated when they were closed for a while a few years back while undergoing renovations following a fire. When they reopened it was even nicer than before with a brand new beautiful lunch counter, booths, tables and an attractive stone wall but gradually the prices started to rise while the quality of the food began to diminish. The last few times I've been there the omelettes have been really bland and unappetizing. The flavor and appearance have been flat and the texture was not fluffy like it used to be. It was like biting into a dried out sponge. Another disappointment the last time I was there was that the spinach in the omelette wasn't chopped at all and still had long stems attached. It wasn't busy at all so I don't know why the cook wouldn't take the time to at least cut off the stems. I don't think I'll completely write off Stonebridge just yet but it's definitely moving down on my list of favorite breakfast spots. One thing I do want to mention is that the wait staff are all very pleasant and efficient, so even though food has become less desirable, I'll probably still try it a couple more times, maybe for lunch next time instead of breakfast. The atmosphere is pleasant, the crowd was minimal and the staff was friendly but the price for the some the food was higher than expected and did not match the actual quality of the food such as the steak tip hash that I had. Of the hash let me say there was a strange taste to it that I could not identify and while it didn't make the meal inedible, it made me second guess each bite that I had. read more

Stonebridge is one of my favorite breakfast joints around. It has the feel of a family-owned mom & pop type place. They've renovated & changed it up a bit, some years ago & now, there are more dining tables, a breakfast bar & flat screen tvs. It's the busiest of course on Saturday & Sunday mornings but they're good at getting people the great home cooked meal they came for, then sending them on their way to keep the constant flow of traffic running smoothly. I started going here while at Stonehill College, and now drive the half an hour back at least once a month. It's by far my favorite breakfast joint, and I usually walk out of there having spent $10 (which includes a 20% tip). I've had both breakfast and lunch there. Breakfast is obviously their specialty and I've never had anything that wasn't delicious. The one time I got lunch it was just a wrap which is pretty hard to mess up, but it was fresh tasting and I had no complaints. The only downside to this place is the wait, which on weekends around noon is usually 20 minutes. However, if you're willing to sit at the counter you usually only have to wait 5 minutes. I don't really hold this against them though, since one of the waitresses told me that before the fire the owner was saving up to buy a second location in the area to accommodate the crowds, but after having to redo the original location he just couldn't afford it so he decided to put some extra money into making the original location really nice and updated. read more

I did not care for the "home fried" potatoes. They were deep fried. My personal preference is for a potato that is fried on a flat top with maybe onions and peppers, well seasoned. Someone else mentioned in their review that the home fries tasted like they came from Taco Bell. I concur! I certainly got a huge amount of food and the prices were reasonable. Delicious, affordable, very very very clean. I haven't been in a few months but we went twice back in the spring. There is plenty of parking and it is right on the Easton side of Brockton. They recently renovated and there are plenty of booths and tables. We had to wait a few minutes one time but it was worth it. The waitresses were very friendly even though I had to send my hot chocolate back because it was water... Stopped here for breakfast on the way to an Ikea run. My husband tried out the Scramble and Skins which was an awesome idea but had a few execution problems. He felt it was underseasoned and the presentation didn't match the menu description. He was expecting the eggs, cheese, and bacon to be all combined but they were sort of piled on top of each other, with tons of potato and egg and only a couple pieces of bacon with melted cheese over it. Despite that, he ate the whole thing, so it certainly couldn't have been that bad! I got the banana chocolate chip pancakes which were delicious, but when are chocolate chip pancakes not tasty?? Service was fine but not super friendly, but that may be because it was a holiday weekend and they were pretty busy. I'd like to return and try one of their skillets, which definitely looked delicious. Hopefully next time I'm visiting Ikea we can stop here and bump it up to four stars! read more
