Adam was not only responsive and responsible, he was so friendly and generous with his time and expertise. That is as rare as they come in in the zone of contracting. Most of all, the work his team did is superb. They took my dark parquet floors with 40 years of built up wax and polish to a fresh and sexy natural blonde vision to behold. They miraculously got out every deep scratch and scar in the old finish in areas where the floor looked hopeless. I kid you not, all the other contractors in the building marveled at his work because they knew what this floor looked like before it was sanded. The sandless work was immaculate. I came here the night they finished sanding and did not see any dust of any kind. We had almost no time at all and Adam made it work in 2 days before we moved in, including drying of the protective coating. The pricing was extremely fair and I am so grateful for everything he did in a stressful situation.

He removed all the nicks and scratches and made the floor look so smooth. Adam is very friendly and he communicates well with his customer . I'd highly recommend him for any wood floor project.

I am crushed that I have to change my review. I checked with other craftsmen. Angel allowed for his…read morepeople to butcher my floors and explain it away. I learned later, with other craftsmen, that with correct tools and consideration of my desired outcome, it was not necessary to butcher my floors on their edges. This flooring company tore my floor up. I did try to go cheap so I went with them. I did not know that when we negotiated price, I negotiated away the sealant ti protect floors and allowance to butcher my floors. I was told back/forth 2/3 coats on floor. With/without sealant? Angel said 2 coats sealant. Soon dirt is well in the grains of wood. I know because I can see where a rectifying area was made with the sealant compared to everything that sticks with floor. I have question is it the @Bona #Bona product. My first rodeo. Fixing will cost me an entire 675 sq new floor. It aches my heart. I don't have that kind of money and I wanted a nice outcome. If I had been informed more, I would have work harder to have paid more instead to spend so much more now fix in a few years after I save to do it. Why are workers not honest?!!!! Please inform the consumer the cost of cutting price. I have regrets that will cost me now to redo and seal my floors, and more, if I want to resume my useable sq ftg because you ate it away to close the gaps you butchered. Please do not do this to another customer again. Just be honest even if you don't get the job. I am so hurt.

Don't Bother! I called this man to come and refinish my floors and he postponed 3 times on me…read more(that's 3 weeks of waiting). I should have known ahead of time because he postponed coming to my house to quote on the job. I even had to call him for a quote. To start he told me the job would only take a couple of days. After coming to my house again I was told it would take 3-4 days, okay no problem I must've misunderstood. When I spoke to him again (after he postponed the 2nd time) he told me the job would be a full week. Again not a problem, I wanted him to do a good job on my floors and we would arrange ourselves in the house to give him the time he needed. Honestly, I understand that he was probably busy and we were going on vacation so I thought I'd be nice to go along with his schedule. The night before he was supposed to show up I texted him to confirm and I got another excuse about how it would be better to start the following week. Again I accepted that he was busy and allowed him to postpone. Today he was supposed to show up at 7:30 and he blamed being late on the weather. He explained in his text message that told his men to show up at 9:30 but the roads were bad and he can come by at 10. Remember he was supposed to show up at 7:30 and he's giving me another excuse! At this time I told him to forget it I called someone else. I'm not sure what type of job he would have done but waiting 3 weeks for someone to come and do a job is too long. Plus I just don't trust someone who feels that wasting my time is okay. Remember I'm paying him and his quote wasn't cheap. If Donald told me that he had other jobs and he couldn't come until later in the month I would have gladly agreed to schedule when he was free. However he didn't do that and left me with no other choice than to find someone else.

I called a lot of places before deciding on Personal Touch because the owner was responsive and the…read moreprice reasonable. But when all was said and done, I had to give only three stars. After agreeing to the proposal, there was no further contact with the owner during the many weeks leading up to the job. Then an emergency caused him to put off the 4-day job from a Friday to a Saturday. He called again on Saturday and said he was sorry but he'd have to start on Monday. Problem was, I was leaving on vacation that day and had planned everything around being able to let the workers in, stick around to make sure all was well, and leave a key for a neighbor to let them in the remaining days. This plan went all to hell. My neighbor reported no activity during my week away, and when I got back they still had to come in two more times. They left splashes of varnish on a tile floor, and there are still lap marks and streaks from applying the varnish incorrectly. They even put down the wrong color in one spot and had to remove and reapply. I had used another refinisher in the past, but I felt they were rude and didn't respect me as a past customer, so I sought out Personal Touch. True, they were at least competent at the start, and the workers couldn't have been nicer. Except for those mistakes and snafus, the floors really do look great. The problem was the emergency that threw off the schedule, which caused them to rush. Still, if I need floor refinishing again, I will go back to the rude guys. At least their work was mistake-free and was completed in the agreed-upon time frame.
