I've been with Dr. Bolshoun since 1999 when I moved to the Denver area...we've been through a lot…read moretogether, in general he's been tolerant of my "moderate" approach to dealing with diabetes, and the few times I haven't seen him, I've seen someone equally professional and situation-saving (a bad case of strep 10 years ago for me and my then-girlfriend). Most recently, I got the flu end of Feb/start of March 2011...and 3 days later, had a brutal staph infection gaining ground in my shoulder for a week while I said "I've just got to gut it out, it's the *flu*". Wrong. (It then migrated to my ribcage as well...cuz hey, even bacteria love ribs n sauce!! :p ) Dr. Bolshoun saw me about 1/2 the time I was in the hospital, Dr. Piunkett the other 1/2 of the time. While the cause of my staph will remain unknown as to an absolute certainty, both these doctors (along with the excellent staff at Rose) took care of me and nursed me back to health during and after the 2, yes *2*, hospital visits I had within a month's time (2nd time was when it migrated to my ribcage). Dr. Bolshoun is very thorough and easy to communicate with, and a pleasure to deal with. David, one of the MA's there, is also a great asset to Mayfair and has helped me when I've called in times past with questions or "need this somewhat urgently" type prescription calls. I'm glad I've got them batting on my team.

It took me a while to find a doctor's office that I was actually comfortable with when I moved out…read moreon my own and got my own insurance. I went through about five different offices before finding this one, and I love it. The furniture is suuuuper comfy in the waiting room, and even with that the wait is never long to see someone. I've never been seen by Dr. Eagan. I've seen Kate Johnson several times and the last time I went I saw Susan Esmond. They have both been a pleasure to see and have made awkward conversations more pleasant to have. They have also given me very good recommendations for specialists who have helped me with various issues. It's also very conveniently close to my apartment being at Rose Medical Center, and the building it's in offers valet parking if you don't want to find your own spot. I will definitely be sticking with this doctor's office while I'm living in Denver!

A 2 star rating is generous. A1c was mildly high 5.8. I…read morechanged my diet, lost 21 lbs and requested more blood tests to see if my numbers had improved. The practice didn't even call in an A1c test the 2nd time- just lipids. Also the PA recommended a booster for MMR and did not enter the correct code for my tests resulting in a $395 bill which insurance did not cover and the practice did not respond to my call as to why the wrote the incorrect code for the insurance. This practice has no interest in its patients. It is sloppy and no one I have ever spoken to has even modest active listening skills. The front desk is unfriendly. I cannot recommend it for any reason.

It's been a while since I've left a review, but I will tell you that if anyone asks me who to go to…read morethis is exactly who I always suggest. This is one of the most respectful, knowledgeable, and intuitive doctors I have ever had the privilege of being seen by. I moved to Boulder several years ago and if he wasn't so far away, I would keep going there. I've only met one other doctor in the entire state of Colorado that has his incredible sense and instinct in bedside manner. He's a once in a lifetime physician, especially if you're struggling with things that nobody else can seem to diagnose or treat. For all of these people on here they gave him a one star review for whoever ever answered his phone, SHAME ON YOU! There are very sick patients out there that need this man and just because your feelings got hurt because someone didn't bow down to you when you made a telephone call is absolutely zero reason to give a one star review! Apparently that's the thing to do on our society these days. I will continue to give him five star reviews once a month until his rating goes back up to where it deserves to be. You literally will not find a better physician in Colorado!
