We had Olympia Stone come out and they built us a much better quality countertop at a reasonable price. After a few winters a joint in the top started to separate and would have allowed water to come in. We asked Olympia Stone for advice on how to fix it. Instead they sent crews out to look at our situation. Instead of offering advice, or making a quick fix, they stood behind their original work and replaced the countertop ... at no additional cost. Kate and the folks we worked with have been professional and great to work with. You could not ask for better quality of work, better people to work with, or a better price.

We chose Indy Decorative Concrete because of their reputation and referrals and were initially very…read morehappy with the appearance of our patio. We truly loved it. It was beautiful the first year, with only a few scattered popouts. Unfortunately, our experience over the past three years has been disappointing. Within the 3 year warranty period, our patio began developing widespread popouts. We reported the issue during the warranty window, repairs were completed, and an additional $800 was paid to IDC during that process. Despite the repair, which we appreciated, the condition continued and worsened over the past year. Most recently, June 4th, while simply rinsing the patio with a garden hose, additional pieces of concrete broke loose from the surface, further increasing our concern about the patio's condition and long-term durability. After the warranty period ended, we requested another meeting to discuss the continued deterioration. During that visit, much of the discussion focused on the normality of this condition, with comparisons to our 20+ year-old driveway and repeated suggestions that salt or another product may have contributed to the damage. We explained that we do not use salt on the patio and that the only treatment applied to the surface was power washing and sealing completed by IDC. During this same meeting, we were also told the warranty may have been affected because we had only paid to have the patio professionally power washed and sealed by IDC one time during the three-year period, despite yearly sealing being an additional service at our expense. This was surprising to us, especially since the deterioration had already begun and was reported during the warranty period. When we asked whether customers should reasonably expect a properly installed patio less than four years old to deteriorate in this way, we did not receive an answer. We were offered an additional repair option at our expense, but were also told there was no prior experience showing whether the proposed solution would stop the issue long term. Because we wanted to better understand what we were seeing, we sought opinions from other concrete professionals. Based on those conversations, we have been told the condition appears likely to be ongoing and that repairs may require repeated maintenance and expense over time rather than a permanent solution. We were advised that patching and refinishing may improve appearance temporarily but would most likely not permanently stop future popouts. Complete tear out and repouring was recommended since repairs would be costly and temporary. We understand concrete can naturally have imperfections, and we never expected perfection. However, our contract references minor popouts, while what we are experiencing is widespread deterioration that began during the warranty period and continued after repair. Based on the condition of our patio, which is not yet four years old, along with the professional opinions we received, we do not believe this reflects normal concrete imperfections or the quality of work IDC promotes and are concerned something may have gone wrong with the original installation or materials. We are sharing this experience so future customers can ask detailed questions before signing. What level of deterioration is considered "normal" in the first few years? What does "minor popouts" mean? What happens if a repair completed during the warranty period does not resolve the issue? And what long-term solutions are offered if problems continue? We genuinely hoped and paid for a better quality product and wish this situation had been handled differently. We are left with a patio that is not quite four years old and continues to deteriorate.

He wanted to fill in the bad cut area with shims, caulk then cover it with paint. NO WAY!!! These are all new cabinets. He didn't offer to replace it either. This is when the excuses started coming. I bought quartzite which is even more expensive than the quartz. It was cut wrong for the sink. The next piece looks like a total different stone slab as he didn't even make an effort to try and match the veining. Some areas the counter top hangs over the cabinet from 1 inch to as much as 2 inches of difference. My range will not fit it's opening because of the bad cuts. He tried to blame it on the plug. The range was in place with the plug prior to the counter going in. I am also supposed to have the same stone as my back plash and to continue all the way up the wall behind the hood vent. He was higher in price than the original company I was going to use but he promised a faster delivery as I was desperate to finish my kitchen. Promised completion date was to before the 4th of July. As of today 9/21/2026 progress has stopped. I GIVE UP!!! YOU MAY FEEL LIKE YOU WON MIGUEL, BUT IT IS NOT OVER TILL I SEE YOU IN COURT. I'm at a total loss!!!! I have to go pick another stone with another company. Maybe I will have a kitchen before xmas 2026!! I would feel terrible if I treated my client this way. He said his insurance only covers liability meaning if he drops the stone and if it breaks. It does not cover workmanship, this was his 1st story. I went and talked to my attorney and I asked Miguel for the insurance info. He became VERY MAD and said he didn't have to give it to me. He finally yells and said he is with ALL STATE. I then ask for his policy number and the answer was extremely aggressive that he would not give it to me. As the heated conversating continued he finally told me he does not have insurance!!!!!! NO FLIPPING INSURANCE!!!! Between buying a new cabinet, and now a new counter I will be out another $10K. If your contractor recommends MIGUEL make sure he has made his insurance payment. I would ask for the policy and call yourself to confirm the policy is in force!!!!! He has no coverage and I am screwed!!!! I know I'm not the only one with a problem that he is dodging. He calls right back when making his BS promises and hustling you for the money, he then becomes a ghost when he is coming back to complete the job! I told him I want my money back , LOLOLOL I'll be taking that money due note to my grave! Best advice I can give is RUN RUN RUN!!!!! I Sure hope hard working people that have saved their money to finally have a nice kitchen read this before making the mistake a made. I just can't believe this happened!
