It's one of those rare places that seems to have a little bit of everything. Need a quick lunch? Get the Stromboli! Or Their pasta salad is one of my favorites. Fresh-cut meat, groceries, local ice cream, a great wine selection, the winery in the back, often live entertainment, fresh flowers cut from a local flower farmers field, candy, and so much more. The owners are wonderful, the staff is genuinely kind, and the customers always make it feel like a true hometown gathering place. The owners have done an incredible job converting a farm field into a lavender farm. They have built a beam barn and planted row after row of lavender bushes. They offer a "date night" adventure with a table set under a very old tree and this humongous charcuterie board. We brought our own wine and enjoyed the sunset and dusk. Mosquitos don't like lavender so no worries there. It is so worth a visit to see what they have accomplished and maybe enjoy an evening under the tree watching the sun go down. Well Done

The tour I was on lasted for about an hour and went in-depth into the history of the cooling/embalming table, embalming process, voodoo exhibit, and several of the paranormal dolls housed within the museum, ending with the choice to peer into a haunted--some may even describe as "cursed"--mirror fragment. If you appreciate the odd, paranormal, macabre, or gothic, this place is definitely worth a visit! It's located inside an indoor market past a record store. I wish I could've nabbed a t-shirt or pin, but didn't see anything for sale in the store (could have missed them, though).

Luckily we were passing through East Lansing recently so Nate and I decided to check it out. The "museum" is located in an office inside of Abrams Planetarium at MSU. It's a few shelves of moist towelettes from all over the word, and the curator (Planetarium Production Coordinator John French) was so kind and fun to chat with. He gave us an overview of the collection and some highlights, including some Star Trek moist towelettes and a news article from an Australian newspaper about odd museums. He honestly made my day, he was so welcoming and friendly. I loved that there's a sign in sheet that asks if you collect anything. I don't think this museum gets a ton of visitors, but if you're into quirky collections I highly recommend checking it out. The office next to John's is not a "museum" but it could be, as it houses a big collection of PEZ dispensers!

The cook area is a trailer so food orders coming out is staggered but is hot and full of flavor. There was a few mix ups our charcuterie board did not have crackers our spinach artichoke dip they brought out chips instead of bread. When we flagged down a staff they gladly made it right. If you want another drink you guessed it, back to the counter you go to order. I wonder if they ever considered having servers instead of some of the confusion as to where the food goes. Staff seemed friendly, especially those younger ones. With a few tweaks this could become a solid 5 star...
