Fall is my favorite time of the year and I love a good apple orchard. I had never heard of albers until a friend recommended it. It was a bit of a drive but ABSOLUTELY worth it. They have a winery with live music, an apple orchard, hayrides...the whole 9 yards. I bought a bag of apples, a quart of cider and some donuts! While I was waiting in line they offered free samples of cider and donuts and apples, so I already knew I would love everything I was buying. it was a very special day and I can't wait for next fall to come back.

Having now been to several cider mills, I can say that this has been the best place I've been to. Alber is off the beaten path down a dirt road and seemed to have a good local following the day we stopped by. The cider here was very tasty with a depth of flavor that I haven't gotten at other places. The donuts are the best of what I've tried in the area. We really liked having a picnic table with a view to enjoy our cider and donuts. We were also impressed to hear about the large variety of apples which are grown here, but I won't spoil it for you. Go here! Drink the cider! Oh! And the hot apple cider "all the way" is amazing if you like sweet things. I will be back before the season is over!

Real orchard with cider, donuts, pumpkins and apples (pick your own or pre-picked). Don't let the location off a quiet country dirt road fool you - the place can get hopping on weekends. If the weather is cool, grab a cup of hot cider and a cinnamon sugar donut before taking a stroll through the orchard. Sturdy footwear is recommended if you plan to walk around outside as there are some muddy spots. Back inside, sample some fresh apple slices before choosing which varieties to take home. Standard apple varieties include Empire and Northern Spy, or you can take home some heirloom apples in a variety of sizes and colors. Kids will love the pumpkin patch and tractor rides. Quintessential Michigan fall experience!

A rather large apple tree of unknown variety, laden with apples.

We managed to get there in the last couple of weeks of apple season and I'm so glad we did. There was a huge array of apples in crates, including a ton of heirloom varieties to taste and buy. Many thanks to the woman next to me who muttered "I've been waiting all year for this" and inadvertently let me know which ones I wanted. So delicious. They also had donuts, cider, and other various goodies (we left with some cider and wish we'd had room for more). The orchard is beautiful and I want to come back earlier in the season. It looks like they have some really established trees, too, with more apples than I'd ever seen on one tree. There were pumpkins and some other fall stuff as well for families to enjoy outdoors. On the other side was the winery where we tried a flight of four different hard ciders - all delicious - and left with glass howlers of pear and raspberry, respectively. (They didn't last long at home and I want more) All in all a beautiful experience and I'd drive back out there any time.

Excellent family fun, cost effective, friendly, personal; made my entire family feel like we were the only ones there, hay rides and even the process of watching pressed cider made!! There is also Apple sampling, corn maze, and Bunnies!!! I would highly recommend Alber Orchard for an excellent fun time that is cost effective for the family off the beaten path! Alber's is a delightful cider mill that is perfect for a fall afternoon excursion. Start with a hayride around the orchard and then check out the cider press. The day we were there they were making cider. You can watch the press behind a glass viewing window. The owner was happy to tell us all a little about the press and his business. In the barn where the cider press is there were doughnuts, cider, apples, etc available to buy. Everything we tried was delicious. There is also a corn maze that looks huge. I can't remember how much admission was for that. I have watched Children of the Corn one too many times to go in it.

And of course we bought honey on the way out since we got to see their bee grounds too! It was a really fun day out! The farmers are so passionate about what they do there. The sweetest young lady asked my kiddos if they'd like to pet a rabbit named Mayonnaise and of COURSE we absolutely had to! The wagon rides stopped at 12:30 so we just missed them, which was kind of a bummer since that was one of the perks the youngest kiddo was looking forward to despite the heat. Oh! We had been misinformed via LittleGuideDetroit that there was horseback riding and that in fact, seems to be down the street? In the end, we left with some peacock feathers, fresh goat milk soap and some flavored honey sticks.

We wanted to do a hayride, pumpkin patch, and corn maze (peak fall activities!) and this place had all 3 things! I was very impressed with the prices- $16 per adult. That included the corn maize, hay ride, and small farm. I will say, make sure to have cash because this place (along with the Dexter Cider Mill which is just down the road from here) is cash only. They do have an ATM machine on the property, but you do have to pay a convenience fee. The corn maze is a lot of fun and there are options to exit in 3 different places if you don't want to go through the whole thing. I wasn't sure how hard it would be, but it proved to be pretty challenging! We got stuck in a loop for probably 10 minutes lol and the whole thing took a little over an hour. There are 8 number signs that you follow throughout the maze which are clearly posted and even have the QR code to a map if you get lost. Me and my boyfriend kept commenting how fun (but scary) a haunted corn maze here would be! We asked the staff if they ever hosted any haunted events and they told us not right now, but maybe in the future. I think that would be awesome and for what it's worth, I would be the FIRST one to come if they made a haunted hayride or corn maze! The hayride was ~20 minutes and took us on the side of the corn maze and pumpkin patch and through a small loop in the woods. It was a great ride to relax after going through the maze for over an hour. Lastly, the pre-picked pumpkin patch towards the entrance of the space was so cute! The prices were amazing- $1 for 2 small pumpkins/gourds and $3-$5 for pumpkins depending on their size. We paid $4 for 5 pumpkins (3 small pumpkins, 1 small gourd, and a larger one to paint). These days, pumpkins at the grocery store are SO expensive so this was so nice, especially for small families and kids who want their own pumpkin. As I had mentioned above, it is also a 4 minute drive from the Dexter Cider Mill as well so make a stop there on your way home! They do sell concessions- donuts, cider, and lots of food here at Blast, but I'd recommend taking the short drive to a classic cider mill well-known in Michigan for their cider and donuts! I appreciated that this place wasn't as commercialized as other places in Michgan (Wiards, etc.). It was fun to be surrounded by a variety of people- young families, kids, other couples, and even other college students. There was something for everyone to do and all the staff were so friendly and helpful! Easily lots to do here and can be a whole day activity! We were here for ~2 hours but could've spent longer if we had walked around more. We will be coming back and think this place would be a fun tradition to come to each fall, especially since they change their maze every year so it will always be a challenge!

We picked ours up from a local store in Plymouth made possible thanks to an awesome volunteer. The vegetables were some of the most delicious I've ever had, very fresh, maybe wonky shaped, but so delicious and without pesticides. It's so important to eat a wide range of fruits and vegetables. Asparagus: Some of the best asparagus I've ever had! So much better than what you get at the supermarket. Three Cedars Farm is definitely an attraction in Northville complete with bonfires, hayrides, a corn maze, and of course apple cider and donuts! The bonfire was a great spot to hang out, put up a tent, grill some burgers and hot dogs and make s'mores. The staff periodically would come by on a cart to drop off more wood. The hayride was a nice short ride from the front of the farm to the back of the farm where the corn maze is located. Tip: I recommend that you bring flashlights and/or lanterns for when the sun goes down to enjoy your bonfire area. There is no light in the corn maze and you will resort to using the flashlight on your phone to try to find the Christmas tree stations in the maze. Don't forget to keep track on the corn maze postcards to turn in at the Donut Hut to be entered into a drawing. The only drawback are teenagers hiding in the corn maze jumping out at people in the dark. I hope no one gets hurt and this continues to be a place for adults and children alike. Also note the Donut Hut closes at 8pm although we were at the bonfire until 10pm. So get your share of cider and donuts early.
