A short google search later, we found Daisy Field Farms and spoke to the owner who was kind enough to find us a slot that matched our schedule. We even got 20mins late while getting there because our GPS totally screwed us over, but they were kind enough to wait and immediately got us horses when we got there. I got Stella who was a beautiful big horse, strong and obedient. We trotted with our horses in a single file over a small hill/mountain. I don't know what to call it, only trust me when I say this IT WAS BEAUTIFUL. The farm looks like it's come out of the pages of an adorable old school english farm illustration. There are wagons here and there, Dumbo the dog is super friendly, there are goats you can feed, and rabbits too. During the one hour ride, you're taken up and down and around a mountain, through forests and fields and by small lakes. It was a gorgeous day when we went and everything looked 10times prettier. The couple who run this place are super nice and the horses look very well taken care of. Summer vacations are on and their three adorable little grandsons were helping around the farm too. The facilities are safe and clean, stalls are airy and matted, turnout is incredible, the rings (both indoor and outdoor) & footing are always in great shape, and there are also trails and jumps! The people/other boarders are friendly, and while Dressage is a large focus, there are a variety of riding styles/disciplines represented and everyone respects each other. Sandy is extremely knowledgeable and conscientious, and the care and best interests of the horses come first. She is also fair, friendly, and approachable. My horse is very picky about things (and people), but he has never been happier, as am I. Sandy is also an excellent trainer of horses as well as riders, many of which have gone on to do some very notable things in the dressage ring, on the racetrack, jumping disciplines, and just plain pleasure/family horses. Each horse and/or rider gets a strong base and foundation in which to build on, or for those who have a base, to move ahead with. Sandy is one of the most hands on trainers I've ever seen. She tailors things individually to each horse and/or rider, and recognizes that everyone learns at a different pace. She goes above and beyond to make sure lessons are learned and both horse and rider have a clear understanding, and takes care to never scare either at any point. Kim talked to us to see our comfort of riding and experience level. Then we headed over to the barn to see what horses were feeling up for a ride. She chose the horses and saddled them up. Kim truly loves her horses and cares for them with so much compassion. She brushed each one, sprayed them down so the bugs didn't bother them and saddled them up. She made sure our stirrup's fit properly and we loaded up for the ride. Once out of the gate we headed for the trail and then through the woods, crossed a creek and even met some of her neighbors along the ride. We trotted and galloped, my goodness I loved EVERY second of it!!! The horses listened very well. They look to Kim as their leader and will not run without her doing so even if you try to get them to. We will definitely be back when the weather cools down. I love that she doesn't run her horses in summer much because of the heat. This is a wonderful place to ride.

The workers know the horses best. Mouse is on the slower side but I still enjoyed my time on him. They know which horse hasn't been out yet, has more energy for the ride, etc. All the horses did a great job and they're friendly. At the end of the ride, mouse turned around to look at me while I was still on him. He's so funny... I guess he wanted to see who kept talking him. On the ride we saw turkeys and deer.
