Stone Edge is happy to hang up on you, tell you to stop arguing with yourself, not return your phone calls, and ultimately blackmail you by saying at 4pm the night before the start of the job that you need to give them a cashier's check in their hand at 8am or they'll charge extra or walk off the job. Don't expect to have any reasonable conversations with these guys, they are happy to shout, bully, hang up and threaten should you attempt to voice your concern over any issue, big or small. I did give them two stars instead of one because ultimately the job was completed, the tile looks good, and the price remained the same. Definitely not a company I would recommend or work with again though! read more

This company is phenomenal it has been in the business for the better part of 30 years, which is the reason why we decided to go with them. Extremely thorough we were able to sit and talk with not only the lead salesman Steven, but the owner himself Dan Fitzgerald came out to our site. To make sure that the plans that we had coupled with the game plan that they were coming up with would go off without a hitch. And let me tell you it did! We had four other estimates from 4 decent sized companies and Stone Edge was right in the middle in terms of pricing, they are not the cheapest but we were not looking for the cheapest we're looking for something that will last. We are currently dealing with new StoneEdge ownership. We went through the better business bureau. One peripheral issue issue was fixed but the main staining continues to be misdiagnosed and not fixed and now it's pool closing time. Hoping that discussion with Stefano, Operations Officer, follows through with what he verbally stated about doing right by us. We will start fresh in 2022 and hope to get a resolution, right now working with the Better Business Bureau in an attempt to resolve. Seems as if they don't use the contractor any more (Affordable Pools) because of "poor workmanship", but OUR pool they say is probably poor water chemistry. Will update in Spring 2022. read more

A customer-service update: last summer we opened our pool to find a handful of waterline tiles had come loose in a couple of areas and fell to the bottom of the pool. This was very disappointing, after just three years in place. Stone Edge agreed, and even though by this point there was no longer a warranty in effect, they still promptly sent a pair of guys to remedy the gaps. We had Steve from Stone Edge Design come over to give us a quote. They were recommended by our local pool service company. This was a bad recommendation. First, Steve told me over the phone that pools around 100ft around are about $4000. After I described my pool, he immediately went up $800 to $4800 in the same phone conversation. Second, Steve visited our home and measured our pool. He said our pool was 120ft around. We have had several contractors out, all have measured our pool at 105ft around. Third, Steve looked at our tiles and said that we needed to get the same thickness tile. He then said that he could get our EXACT tile that we had on the pool. Later on he came back to us and said that he could get something that was very close. When he brought the sample, the tile wasn't even close to the color of the tile on our pool. We later came to realize that he ordered the wrong sample. He then said that the sample we wanted was "too blue" and that we wouldn't have liked it. Considering the tile he gave us was a very dark green, almost black in color, I think we would have liked to have looked at the "too blue" color. He then promises to get some other tile. One of the first conversations we had with Steve was him telling us not to go with thicker tile due to the fact that we would have issues and that it would not look, feel, or work right. Yet he brings us tile that is twice as thick. He then said he would bring out an entire box of sample tile from one of his tile companies that he uses. He never did. In our next conversation with him we called to discuss the new tile that was twice as thick. He casually mentioned that the cost was now $7800. That was a surprise to us since he never informed us. I mentioned that and he said "Oh, didn't you see the piece of paper I left in your door?" We went to our front door only to find a piece of paper with a new quote. Finally he got argumentative with us and said that we would never be satisfied with the tile selections. Let's see... A sales guy that doesn't listen to their customers about the tile selection, doesn't offer any choices remotely close to the tile that is on our pool, jacks up the price from $4000 to $7800 in the course of a couple weeks, misrepresents the size of the job by increasing the linear footage. I'll start by saying that I never post reviews on the web. Regarding Stone Edge, their cluelessness regarding proper business ethics has forced me to end this trend. 3 yrs ago Stone Edge tiled my pool. While I am generally happy with the work, the other day I noticed that a few tiles had popped off. Upon closer inspection, the tiles were not set properly to begin with. More specifically, there was no space between the top tiles and the deck, which is needed as concrete shifts in the winter months. After waiting two days to finally get to speak with someone, I was told that they would fix the problem at a cost of no less than $500. Mind you, the job is only 1 month out of the warranty period but of greater significance, the tiles were not set properly to begin with! I was told that my home is a +1 hour drive from Pepperell and they need $500 to make it worth their while. The fact that their substandard workmanship was what caused the issue was of no consequence. To make a long story short, this company does not stand by their work. If you have an issue, they will flip you the bird. Buyer beware! read more

Would not recommend. They did the job but when things went wrong they denied doing anything wrong and would not any sort of warranty. We spent over $10,000 on our pool and you would think they would stand by their work. We had someone else come over to look at our pool and they had to fix what was done by Stone Edge. We have pictures to prove they cut corners. VERY DISSAPPOINTED that they did that and would not stand by their work. I'm glad we went with someone else the second time, we haven't had a problem since the new company came to fix our pool. read more
