Normally I would recommend this golf course bc we always teed off on time with no issues. Today we arrived with a tournament underway which set our tee time back 35 minutes. Todays round took five hours to complete. Other issues- no bathrooms on the course, no water refill stations and you have to cancel 24 hours in advance to get a refund, which can be hard when the forecast isn't able to pinpoint the timing of rain showers. read more

The boys embarked on ye olde Stone-e-Lea golf course with one thing in mind and that was gai & fysa and let me just say: mission accomplished. We had a great time during the first annual Koalition classic & quickly discovered why they use granite to built statues. Started playing golf about 2 years ago and this is the only course I go to. Love this course because it is easy for me. Most of the holes have a wide open fairway. My favorite is hole # 5 (par 5), 400 yards. Easy online booking. Plenty of hot deals during the week. Very well maintained. Highly recommended. read more

Had a very poor customer service experience from Rachel (via telephone) and Joe (in person). Both of them had no interest in resolving issue, would not even listen to me and kept blaming me for the problem. The issue was with canceling/modifying a tee time that was made online thru the golf now website. Apparently if you do not create a profile when you book online there is no way to cancel/modify it because if you call, they do not take phone calls and you can't cancel online because you can't login. In these hard times I would think you would want to work with your customers to resolve issues. Both Rachel and Joe were extremely rude and unwilling to help. read more

Stone E Lea is a place to go if you're looking for a fun round with your friends or a place to play early in the season before other courses open up. I played Wednesday and I'm going back today. The course was in good shape for March 13th and aside from the standing water on the fairways it felt like I was playing in June, not March. For $20 I played 18 holes and they even let us play an extra 3 holes to settle our match. Do not go to this course if you're looking for a speedy round or are impatient. I once almost got in a fight because a teenager behind our group thought it'd be funny to tee off on a par 3 as we were getting in the carts and his ball hit me in the elbow read more

As someone that probably should stick to playing Tiger Woods golf rather than real golf, I like to hack it up with the best of them. Stone E-Lea happened to be my latest victim. My friends were pressed for time and decided to play a quick 9. With a cart it was about $20 (on a Friday). Just a quick tip, you might want to get there early because during peak months they have leagues on Fridays. Now please keep in mind that I live in Orlando. Which is home to a ton of nice courses. So if I come off as snobby that's why. Stone-E is in decent shape. This is course is for your beginner-medium skilled player. Fairways were in rough shape at least on the back 9. The greens were slow (because they had not manicured the back 9 yet). But in all fairness for a local get on and play course it isn't that bad. I have seen far worse. WeatherMan Predicts: 60-70% chance you will hit at least 10 trees. Good probability of enjoyment given the price! read more

3 stars for value. If you're looking for the country club experience, this is not it. While other courses are charging well over $40 for 18 on a weekend, the Stone is around $28. It's fairly well maintained, however, the fairways are NOT irrigated, so best conditions are early and late in the golf season, when there has been enough rain to keep the grass lush. To correct another reviewer, water comes into play on only one hole, 15, the signature hole, a 175 par 3 with a long water carry. Most of the greens are elevated, so you either have to "throw darts" or "bump & run" to have a shot at par. No tee times, and CASH ONLY, so plan accordingly. read more

Me and my neighbors went a couple days ago to play a little 3 on 3 match and surprisingly we were able to go out as a "sixsome." On the 6th hole, the owner drove a cart over to us and gave my 15 year old neighbors and I 4 free jr membership rounds of golf passes EACH. The course was also in great shape as of 7/17/15. It was a little dry and burnt but other than that it was a ton of fun! read more

This is not the longest course and there is no water on the course. Good course to play a the beginning of the year or if we get alot of rain. Fairways get burnt in the summer months but they do a good job with what they have. Overall a fun course that is doesn't break the bank to play ($44 w/cart). Usually most weekends you don't need a tee time (not sure if they even offer tee times) read more

This has been a favorite of mine for some time. Staff are always courteous. Greens are beautiful and trimmed well. Nice, open fairways with a scenic landscape. Food cooked to order. One of my staple golf courses. Run by a nice family who has owned the course FOREVER. They keep the course very playable and it is reasonably priced. It can get a little bit on the dry side during the summer, but overall a good, convenient place to play a round. read more

Horrible!!! Sand,stones,rocks everywhere!!!! Greens are soaked. There is no real fairway just dirt and dead grass. I have played here twice and both times I was taken as a guest. Now I know why I don't return. And the price they charge for the course I can think of a handfuls of courses that are 5x better and cheaper or the same price. read more

Pleasant experience and close by. For $26 in late Sept on a Friday, this is a good deal. Greens and boxes were in really good shape. Fairways definitely need love. I saw other reviewers on google complaining because they were removed for being slow. That works for me, I wish more courses did that. read more

This course was in real rough shape when I played 9/21/14. The fairways were more dirt than grass and the greens were very sandy. They don't have a sprinkler system which dried up the course with little rain we've had recently. It was challenging hitting irons off dirt patches, but on a plus side there is only water on one hole. and the course overall is very forgiving for beginner golfers. Its not expensive but even for the low price I would have liked nicer fairways. read more
