Our first visit to this business was in early May 2021. They were very busy, however we found a gem in "Celia" to help us and she was terrific. She was very knowledgeable, most accommodating and definitely went the "extra yard". Our second visit was yesterday (9 Jun21). After dealing with 2 very unmotivated female employees and getting another male employee to get up and find a person in charge we met "Faith". Great variety of stone offered! However, instructions on how to navigate through the area (for the average DIY-er) are unclear. The instructional signs are small and unclear. I would suggest a step-by-step instructional sign. Other than that, it was a fast and easy process. :) read more

This is a greedy business not interest in customer support. After spending over $5,000.00 at their business, I ordered another load of 20 tons of gravel and we arranged a delivery time. Later that day I received a call from Tom to tell me that the larger truck had broken down. He could deliver 14 tons and then send the remainder after. I told him that would be fine and confirmed that the two trucks would fall under one delivery charge (over $150 per truck). He said "NO" and that I would have to pay two delivery fees. I will never do business there and will NOT recommend them to any friends. read more

One of the worst customer service I have seen in days especially with Juan Nolasco. This guy not even made fun of me infront of his colleague but also insulted me and on my face told me he is not here to help me. I wouldn't recommend anyone to buy anything from them. Nice product got the job done (stone veneer) for my fireplace. I purchased what was instock so no special ordering was necessary. I provided measurements of my project, the counterman needs to work on his estimation skills sold me more than I needed was told I can return excess material turns out that was a lie. Won't be doing business with these guys ever again. You guys suck! read more

Stone Center is great for stone but LOUSY for concrete! They can't keep to a schedule; show up with enough material and they add too much water to the concrete in an attempt to make the yardage. I ordered 3000 concrete but doubt that it comes up to 1000. Sorry guys but you should keep to the stone business and drop the concrete.....it's ruining your business! read more

This place is horrible. We purchased the amount of stone they told us to get to cover our area. They sold us double what we needed and when we asked if they could take it back the general manager was extremely rude and disrespectful. I would not recommend this awful place to anyone. I called Stone Center this morning looking for material for our new fireplace and talked with Brian. He was very helpful and pleasant on the phone, so I set out to Manassas to look at stones. I met Brian and Maynard who helped me locate what I was looking for amongst the giant selection they have. The entire experience was one of the best customer service examples I've had. My purchase was only a couple hundred dollars but both Brian and Maynard treated me like I was buying thousands of dollars worth of stone. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Stone Center and look forward to doing business with them on other projects. read more

Earlier this Spring I decided to update my 1970's fireplace. After a lot of research I decided I wanted natural stone. I spent countless hours researching 'how-to' videos for a project I had zero skills with...masonry. I found this GREAT store in Manassas, VA, the Stone Center. I spoke with a couple different guys over 2 visits regarding my fireplace idea. They were not only helpful, but seriously patient with all of my questions about stone and masonry. I showed up at the second visit with a photo of my old fireplace and all the measurements. I had decided on the cool stone that I wanted and while ringing up my order the customer service rep. kept asking me different questions about my build. I needed 15 linear feet of corner stone but explained how picky and creative I wanted to be and he assured me that I did not need to buy more than I needed and that I would have more than enough. Personally I thought I was cutting it close, but in the end he was right and the project was perfect! Once I made the purchase, I drove my truck around the the loading area where I was greeted twice by 2 different techs. Both were helpful and kind. The guy that ultimately helped me load the stone on my truck was VERY informative about the product as he had worked there for at least 15 years. He explained that '4 layers' of stone meant that I would be loading from a palate, 4 layers deep of a mixture of 70/30 stone. This is 70% medium and 30% small in order to make a good mixture for my fireplace. These guys really rocked with their information!! I have a bit of aptitude with artistic stuff, but nothing on the internet really showed me what I wanted to learn about stone veneer masonry on a fireplace. So, I made another call to the Stone Center and asked a couple more questions about the type of cement I wanted to buy. S? N? Stone Veneer Cement by Sakrete? In the end, I found exactly what I was looking for based on their advice. So a huge THANK YOU to the endless customer service from an OCD'er. I appreciate you. Couldn't have done it without your suggestions, advice and over the top customer service. read more
