He was familiar with dysautonomia (POTs) and the type of care I would need. His staff followed through with the insurance to get the necessary medication approved for me. They also sent the referral I needed and the information required for me to be seen. Being chronically ill with mostly invisible disabilities and the fact that I am young typically make my medical experiences difficult. I will sometimes feel I have to prove I need help. Then, continue to make multiple follow-ups for basic care. That was not the case with Dr. Smith; he understood and started helping me immediately. This was the most seamless process I have experienced related to my complex care. When we left, I looked at my husband and asked if we really just got answers and a treatmentt visit. plan on my first. We were both so happy and grateful. The only thing that could be better is getting the portal information (website and login information) at the first appointment so I can confirm and communicate with the team any challenges with getting meds approved, etc. But that is so minor!! If you are looking for a cardiologist, I recommend Dr. Smith at Maui Cardiology. As a home health RN on Maui, I am so grateful that we have a provider like Dr. Smith here. The biloma (toxic bile collection) took up almost half the size of my liver. I had to go to Mayo Clinic Hospital for a resolution because no one knew how to resolve it on Maui. When I asked Dr Tasaki if I was going to die, he said maybe and laughed. I would not recommend this doctor at all unless you're looking to get worse or want to come out way worse than you went in !!!!

just got out of hospital from tooth infection and swelling the size of softball occurred…read more Friday at 1:30 pm two female and a manager. displayed no efforts proper medical care and inadequately all used my distress calls for them to all minipulate my tone from pain and brush it off for a tooth. the manager quoted your here for a tooth ace in sarcastic matter with her smirking and laughing in the background. I wouldn't recommending going her. the african assent lady try to charge me numbers without resolution or solution after she told me to come my tone down after asking those questions then manager pulled the same attitude and then finally told me they werent qualified. essentially they ran me for four hours straight. I literally was calling in for an emergency for 130 and ran me in circle til 4 to tell me they couldn't after I was upset trying to get information they wouldn't give. If I can rate them a zero I could.

I've never wanted to go to the doctor, but she makes my visits something I can look forward to. Understanding what's going on with my body is important. The providers there are incredibly caring, warm and I never felt rushed at my appointments. I highly recommend Dr Casey and Heather Milovina - they are both incredible, so competent and skilled and kind. Out of the 6 providers, I felt totally comfortable with 5 out of 6 of them - which is pretty great! I gave birth a few weeks ago and had a very positive experience thanks to the wonderful people at Malama. Dr Casey was my doctor who delivered my baby, and I felt 100% confident and comfortable with him, knowing I was in great hands. Heather was there the next day, which was great, because I was seeing her the most during my prenatal visits (she is an incredible midwife), and she has a wonderful presence about her - she cares so much about her patients, and you feel completely comfortable in her care. I would highly recommend Malama if you are pregnant, I think they are the best on the island as far as prenatal care and caring about women's birth experiences.
