Bath Fitter - Have the wow without the wait with Bath Fitter's famous one day installation!

The entire process was delightful. Was is expensive? Yes. But we got what we paid for. The process was fast and painless. The finished product is superb. We are completely satisfied and would do it again.

Bathfitter started a project in my house in the middle of April... The install was supposed to take…read moreone day, then 2 days, and two days turned into an incomplete job because the glass doors were shattered, and nobody happened to look at this before they decided to leave me shower-less and without a shower for almost a month! Perhaps that's a good thing because the instal was faulty and caused a leak that ran into the ceiling from the original tear down . After having third-party trades, people at my house to repair walls and ceilings, the work was done terribly, and once again it had to be redone. This time they decided to send their lead install technician who is the ONLY good thing about the company, Jared, he is fabulous... his quality of work is excellent. His attention to detail excellent! He has been working on getting things done over the last 3 to 4 visits and had our last visit scheduled. I ended up being late to arrive by an hour, and when I called the store to excuse my tardiness and say I'm home now he's welcome to come back because he was booked in my unit for the entire day, the reply from the receptionist was "I need to call your sales person to see if we are ever willing to come back and finish the job." Pardon me! Your two day installation and $13,000 shower has now taken over eight months to finish after you've destroyed my home and I've made multiple concessions to have trade staff into my house destroyed it even more to have your employee that you should've said the first time come and fix it. The final day he was booked to complete the job I was late yes but he also had another seven hours in the day to get the job done and you chose not to send him back. April 16 was the original install date and we are at December 27 and it's still not done. You have a lifetime warranty on your product so guess what you're getting it done might I add they have not once offered me any type of financial compensation they are still expecting full payments for the completion of the shower . They've already received $9000 and I'm telling you I am so happy I held back money because if I hadn't, they wouldn't have come to complete the job. I guarantee it. The shower is lovely, but this is a basic shower. This is not some massive fancy steam shower that required new plumbing or structures to be built or changed. There's no crazy hardware or elite finishings, and not a sauna for multiple people. This is a basic shower, slightly shorter than the length of the bathtub that they have failed to complete, failed to install correctly and failed to be accountable for. To receive what I have, which is a shower that took a month to be able to use, and months and months later to be able to enjoy my bathroom, I still don't even have the towel bar put back up the wall had to be redone all of these things because of the install as the complete lack of customer service, I am appalled, disgusted and taken aback by this company! Now they are threatening to not finish the job... I have so far spent $9000 on a shower that was unuseable for a month, has left holes in the walls, leaks in my ceiling and my living space unusable for eight month. And the funny part is now I have to badger them and chase them to finish the job that they couldn't do in the first place... This is not what I signed up for... Would I use them again? would I recommend them to anybody? think the answer is pretty obvious! Epic fail

I first heard of Artisan Kitchens from reading their articles in Renovation magazine. The articles…read morewere written by Lynn who has a degree in Interior Design and together with Dave who is the Engineering Contractor and the other half of Artisan Kitchens. Their ideas and business model made sense, so when we finally decided to renovate we asked them for a design compiled from a discussion of our lifestyle choices and the type of house we had, which was a 1970's estate home that contained the standard tiny kitchen, dining room and low ceilings. Dave spent several hours with us designing a kitchen/dining room open concept which would meet our needs. There was no charge and no pressure to proceed. Life got busy and we didn't get back to him until a year and a half later. When we were ready to proceed, he found the files and we hammered down a plan and design that would work for us. The design was on computer and came complete with a video tour of the "vision". Ours was a big project that basically involved moving the entire kitchen into the dining room (with moved plumbing and electrical) as well as installing two huge cantilevered box windows. We made the decision to take the plunge and signed the contract which came complete with a binder full of subtrade information, product information, insurance and wcb information as well as payment schedule and contacts. It was a professional binder of all the information we needed to refer to. Our kitchen/living room renovation took four months to do. We were adament to avoid the typical renovation creep of "while we are at it..." and stuck to firm boundaries of the existing plans, unless there was obvious things to be fixed such as an exposed leaky plumbing pipe, and another pipe that really had to be moved. All the subtrades chosen by Dave were professional, efficient, came when they said they would, and stuck to the quoted amount. They creatively remedied any problem that came up. As one who hates surprises, I found that as time went on, I could trust Dave, Lynn, and the subtrades to do the job with the quality I expected, and the reasonable price they gave us. Our project came out on time and on budget, and that is a rare quality in boom time Calgary. We are very pleased with Artisan Kitchens and would not hesitate to recommend them to anyone with a small or large project, kitchens, bathrooms, basements or any type of renovation, interior or exterior. Yes, Home Depot is a gigantic big box store. But something very un-bog box like happens here…read more We've been here a few times and the staff are always helpful, competent and friendly. But our most recent visit takes the cake. We were in search of a new vacuum and we were feeling grown up enough to finally splurge on a really good one. We arrived, grabbed some light bulbs (we needed those too) and headed to where the vacuums were. We stood there for no long er than 10 seconds before a home depot employee asked us if we wanted him to get us a vacuum down from the storage area. I wasn't sure the model I was looking at was the same as the one I researched online so I wanted to check quickly. No problem. He waited nearby, far enough away that there was no pressure. When I decided we had the right one, he magically reappeared and got us one from storage. He offered to carry it to the front - no insisted actually and when we reached the cash area, he shook both my partner and my hands and thanked us for our business and wished us a happy new year. Um what? Complain all you want about big stores like this...there are a lot of local independent stores that don't offer the same superb service level as this particular location does.

Four hours later, I got a voicemail that my order had been canceled because there was no product in stock. I decided to go to the store. Mahmoud and Virun are the only reason I'm not irritated with Home Depot. They found a similar faucet ($90 more) but knocked off $50. Hang onto these two Home Depot!
