"Friendly". In a word, that's how I'd explain my first experience here when stopping in to find a few new brands of cigars that I hadn't tried before. Since I am by no means a cigar officianado, I try and reach outside my comfort zone to see how I like other brands or styles. This is exactly what I told the girl behind the counter when I'd arrived and she immediately took me to the humidor next door to show me around. She went on to explain to me the differences in price, color, style, origin and flavors of the huge selection that lay before me. Cigar shopping can be a little overwhelming if you don't know what you're looking for, and even though I had a good idea of what I DON'T like, she was very helpful in suggesting a few lower end smokes that I MIGHT like (based on what I told her my experiences were). Then, my favorite part...when she left me alone to decide. No pushy sales tactics, she seemed to know exactly when I needed her help, and exactly when I didn't. I like that. I like that a LOT! I will definitely be back when I've finished the four cigars I bought that afternoon. If that salesgirl is there again, I may just buy another five or six! read more

Was in the area so my guy wanted to check it out. He had more selections than I thought he would. Prices are cheaper than where my guy usually gets his cigars, but it's probably since it's the burbs. Only thing was the guy at the register obviously was having a disagreement with some guy over construction or something so he never really acknowledged us. They had a really large selection and I finally ended up with a Zippo and a really nice Calibre lighter too. I started looking at the cigar selection which was enormous also. This shop, although having a general selection of cigars,is extremely disappointing when it comes to customer satisfaction. My father in-law gifted me a cigar from Stogies. The cigar seemed moldy to me and smelled strange. I had experience with a moldy cigar once before (from another store), so I brought it back with my father law to exchange it for a new one. When I told the sales person at Stogies I thought my cigar was moldy, he grabbed the cigar from me, looked at it, smelled it, and condescendingly said "this is plume, not mold. I don't see the problem!" Instead of educating me, the customer on the difference between mold and plume, he belittled me into feeling stupid for thinking it was mold by being pushy and arrogant... in front of my father in-law. He continued by unconvincingly telling us "I am here to lose arguments," while maintaining his arrogant and condescending tone of voice and nonverbal expression. What could have been the opportunity to educate a customer about the intricacies of cigar smoking, resulted in this, my first Yelp review, and a lost customer. read more

This is a great place. Not only does it have a huge humidor with a great selection of cigars and accessories it also has a beautiful lounge area with plenty of comfortable seats and ash trays. My friends and I meet there once or twice a month to relax and and enjoy a good cigar. The owners and staff are very friendly, helpful, and accommodating. I do frequent this place due to convenience, but don't try to ask the owner for help. I was looking for a specific Maduro cigar and was told " I don't have time to help you". First off when I arrived he was outside smoking his cigar and there was zero other patrons. He did however have time to watch me make my selection, which I did purchase two different Maduro cigars with no recommendations only scowls and misinformation( but the misinformation got me interested to research the Maduros which was good). The other times I've been taken care of pleasant employees, sometimes while he's there being his grumpy self. I will be back due to the convenience but I do try to avoid this place. I think you have to be a regular to get service here which they do have a nice place to hang out, I just don't have time or desire for that. I smoke cigars about 4 times a year and would like a little guidance when making my purchases. read more
