First off I've got to say this idea is genius and the service is AMAZING! To set the backdrop, I was at work the day before the release of the iPhone X. It was around the time of evening rush hour and I knew that if I wasn't in line somewhere at this point, my chances of getting one the next morning were slim to none. I was randomly searching Twitter to gauge how long the lines were. Take in mind that my search query was "iPhone X line" so the results were WORLDWIDE. By the powers that be, after a few scrolls I came across a picture tweeted by STL Skip The Line. The tweet was a picture of the line forming in front of the Georgetown Apple Store and there was contact information to reserve a spot in line. This looked too good to be true! I immediately scoped the page out and visited their website along with their Facebook page to confirm their legitimacy. Everything checked out so I gave them a call. Within a few minutes after speaking with Jennifer, I sent over my initial deposit and I felt at ease knowing that I was one step closer to getting my shiny new iPhone X the next morning. So this past weekend I traveled to DC with a few friends to go check out the instafamous Game of Thrones bar! Doing some research I heard that we may have to wait in line between three and four hours, which was less than ideal given my short time in DC. I came across STL, @skipthelineus, on instagram and sent Jen a message via Facebook for possibly standing in line for our group this weekend while we went for drinks. BEST DECISION EVER!!! Jen responded quickly to the message with her availability and prices and we were able to work a time that we would meet her in the line and enter the bar. If there was a zero star selection I would've picked it. My fiasco with S.T.L. (Jenny) began with me hiring said company for the iphone X release. After agreeing to a $25/hour rate Jen contacted me telling me she intended on holding my place in line and then remaining in line to purchase 1 phone of here own. We then agreed she'd purchase a 2nd phone for me (using my money) and I'd pay a flat fee of $350 since she was benefitting as well. @8am employees started registering customers in line but skipped me due to protests from the ppl behind me in line bc I did not replace Jen but instead joined the line late. Jen did get registered but ignored me getting skipped over. "skipped over in line" is a more fitting company name. She then ordered 2 - 256gb phones (i wanted 64gb phones) in colors she wanted and told me she had decided to purchase 2. After protest and me informing her that I was skipped in line (she had no clue even though she was standing in front of me in line -mind u I'm paying her for the spot yet she's in front of me) she agreed to allow me to buy one of hers. I got 1 phone that I paid $150 more than i intended to, in a color Jenny picked and I still had to pay her $350. I requested half my money back since I was only able to purchase 1 device and Jenny has refused and claims its all my fault bc I had a friend with me (who wasn't attempting to purchase a device). Very unprofessional. Could've all been avoided had she not been consumed with her own purchase and greed. Stay AWAY!!! read more

This is an amazing service that is well-run and organized. I came across the service through a tag on Instagram while waiting in line for the Game of Thrones Pop Up Bar in DC after I was told by security that the wait was 5 hours and I probably wouldn't make it in before last call. My friend and I were extremely upset by the news, and I contacted STL with the hopes I could go back tomorrow and got a response immediately. Jennifer was able to very professional and gave me all the details of the service before I committed (it was also very reasonably priced for 2 people at $30/hour). While waiting in line for me the next day, she sent me text updates with selfies showing where she was in line and gave me a 45min warning so I could arrive before she reached the front. We were easily able to find her in line, and by the time we got there waited less than 10 minutes to get into the pop-up bar. She even waited around to make sure we didn't come across any issues with bouncers/security with replacing her in line and sent an additional follow up text to make sure all was well.
