Most definitely not a fan. I wanted to go somewhere different so I took my fiancé here for date night. The scenery is beautiful but the staff at the restaurant were so clueless. She sat the bottle of wine at the table and then walked away. Approximately two minutes later, she came back to our table and asked if we needed it opened? We responded yes please and she didn't know how to open the bottle with corkscrew. She approached another person working there and she was confused as well. It was rather odd. I'm sure we're not the first people to order wine. Definitely won't go back. It was so disappointing that I didn't do a video review for my TikTok. Good restaurants deserve free marketing. I was here for a fundraiser and the space is pretty. You can tell it is an older building, but it has been maintained well. The bar had good food and a happy hour special. The menu items were typically priced for a tea. I paid $40 for a sandwich with fries, shrimp appetizer, cheesecake, and a drink. While I was away at the event someone from the venue threw my food in the trash, so that didn't make me happy. The server who took my order was kind and helped me make a decision of what to order. The restrooms in this venue were really clean. Trash cans are hard to find though. I only saw them in the bathroom. The golf course is pretty and makes for some really nice pictures. read more

Came here for a friend's wedding - can't speak on the golf game. I reached out to the event team before the wedding to ask what type of precautions they would put into place for COVID-19. I was told that staff would wear gloves/masks, tables would be spaced out, the reception would be outside under a tent, and inside would have the buffet but guests would be served by staff. This made me feel better about going and taking the risk. The grounds are beautiful and you can find this place by winding through a subdivision. The ceremony was outside to the right by a gazebo and the tent/reception was behind the club house. I was disappointed that the ceremony seats were not socially distant. Everyone was sitting on top of each other and no one was wearing masks. I was expecting for chairs at the ceremony to either be physically spaced a part or that there would be roped off seats in between. The ceremony space was beautiful though and the gazebo is a nice gathering space for vows. Guests made their way to the two tents that held the reception. Tables were decently spaced a part. Bar tenders did have masks and gloves on. Staff overall were really nice and attentive. We were in the second tent, so it was hard to see the main tent/head table. The reception moved a bit slow, especially since staff had to serve guests the buffet but I understood and did not mind. Restrooms were inside the club house and were nice/clean. Enjoyed my food, some items were a little bland but overall it was filling. read more

Unplayable golf course. Hasn't been watered in weeks. Tee boxes where brown with little to no grass. Greens where spray painted cause they were dead. I wasn't expecting much for $45 on a Sunday but this course will never be on my list again. read more

LeRoy: Well I had a hole in one burger which was a half pound of ground beef which was excellent. It had pepper jack cheese lettuce tomatoes and onion. It was served with homemade potato chips and is something I would order again in a minute! Katie: I got the birdie sandwich and it was pretty good. There wasn't anything super special about it - it was just a BBQ chicken sandwich. The French fries were crispy and potatoey. Caitlin: I asked to change a couple of things on the chicken club and our waitress happily accommodated me! My food tasted fresh and delicious!! Our waitress was quick, friendly, and helpful! What a delightful, delicious and convenient bar/grille located in a great club house. Wednesday Trivia Night during the off season (winter) has been and was a ton of fun! During peak seasons the bar and grille still hold up with their drinks and food that tastes delicious! Like every other business in small town America in 2022 staffing is tough but somehow Jen, Al, Syd and the whole back of the house with their Chef has kept the Captains Club a family favorite of ours! I have been to a lot of wedding locations and banquet centers and this location is among my favorites. It's all about the little things when you're throwing/attending a large event. And this location dots their 'I's and crosses their 't's when it comes to the small stuff. -The parking here is so headache free. The parking lot is large and positioned around the clubhouse. Great for guests who may be older or have mobility issues. -The Seclusion of the banquet area is fabulous. It's the complete lower floor. The lower floor has a dance floor, bathrooms with resting areas, an old style bar, and French doors that open to the golf course. -And the staff here is on point. Glasses that were used did not linger on tabletops. And that's really all that matters to me in a venue. So keep this one at the top of your mind. read more

Here today for Easter Brunch. Made a reservation and were immediately seated. Selection was good: salads, ham/chicken/beef, breakfast foods including omelette station and lots of sides. Dessert table was full of different choices as well. It took as long for us to eat as it did to get the bill, but that was the only negative of the day. Would definitely come again for a brunch. I wish they offered more vegetarian options- it can be slim pickings if you're a vegetarian. It seems like it hasn't yet dawned on the chef that there are a lot of people with either food allergies or who don't eat meat. Still, it's very nice, the staff is super attentive and everything is presented well. I've attended several social functions here over the years and can safely say they have a great wait staff and their cocktails are superb, from martinis to whiskey sours. Good wine list. read more
