This was the first place we went to in highschool when shopping for cosplay. This is a very nostalgic place for me. If you don't know. This is huge store with bolts and bolts and bolts of fabric. The service here is great, they have multiple people walking around and asking what you need. I came in the other day for velvet and lace and he gave me options and cut what I needed. The woman at the register is also always so sweet. I just adore her! They also have a sales aisle in the back and various sales in the front. When I say they have everything for every fabric based project. I'm saying you can make sundresses for the kids on one side and reupholster your furniture on the other side, paired with matching curtains and make blankets as well. The place is insane, there is nothing else like it in town. Everyone should go to it and make sure it stays in business or we will have no choice but to buy cheap polyester off Amazon.

I wanted to support a local Bakersfield business, so I reached out to Hall Letter Shop after…read morehearing they had pretty competitive pricing. Unfortunately, my experience with the customer service was not great. I initially texted over my plans and worked with K From the beginning, I felt the interaction was pretty passive aggressive and not very welcoming. I also had someone with me during the interaction who noticed the same thing, so it wasn't just my perception. Then I received an email quote for $289 for each of my pieces, which didn't seem right based on the different sizes and what I had originally requested. I called to get clarification and was connected with Marcella, who was much more helpful. She was able to explain the pricing and get me the information I actually needed. At that point, though, the first experience had already left a bad impression. When you're spending money on something, you want to feel like you're being treated fairly and that you can trust the person you're doing business with. Getting a quote that didn't seem to match what I was asking for made me uncomfortable moving forward. I ended up going with another company, even though it cost me about $100 more, simply because I felt more comfortable doing business with them. I'm giving two stars instead of one because I never actually received the finished products, so I can't fairly judge the quality of their work. They may do great work and their pricing may be competitive. My review is strictly based on my customer service and quoting experience. I really wanted to keep the business local, but unfortunately the experience wasn't good enough for me to continue.

It was horrible, when I got there I was told there was no one there to load the recliner onto my vehicle. The lady that sold it to me Naomi, said that we could load it up. I told her I was not going to do that and she should have told me before I picked it up that the loaders would not be there. It was not only a waste of my time but my son was injured helping some old man named Larry that works there try to load it onto my vehicle. The only reason my son even helped was so that we didn't have to come back again. The man Larry was too old to be moving anything in the first place. My son told him to wait so he could adjust the chair on my truck first but he didn't wait and he injured my son by shoving the chair onto my truck and made him lose his balance and he fell and pulled a hamstring in his leg. That old guy thought it was funny and laughed that my son got hurt and didn't even apologize. Come to find out that it's against company policy for other employees other than the loaders to help move anything. I was very upset about what happened. Later I received a phone call from a Vanessa about what happened and she told me if she were there that would not have happened but it did and my son ended up with an injury and also missing 2 days of work due to the injury he sustained which could have been avoided if these people would have not been negligent in the first place. I received a phone call from a Vanessa, and of course nothing was done. Vanessa just said that she would speak to them about what happened.
