Luckily, this Maverik shines like a beacon of hope for the "makin' good time" folks like me. It's located very conveniently off of the freeway, with just a small jaunt off the ramp until you are filled with the hope-filled lights of the pumps and awning, and the big Maverik sign that beckons you in. In I went, as a road trip pit stop is not complete without filling up the gas tank in the car and emptying the inner tank, ifyaknowwhadduhmean. From the looks of the insides, I could have filled my belly with all the regular snacks and foods, but this was a quick in and out. Both the tank fill and tank emptying were done successfully, cleanly, and with a little jaunt to let the pup stretch her legs. The giant neon price sign said $2.92 and the price at the pump was $3.02. 2. At 8am on a Sunday morning, the women's bathroom had debris on the floor and full trash receptacles...with a line of female travelers waiting to use the two stalls 3. No toilet paper in women's bathroom! 4. Unattended service counter with customers waiting. 5. A young women called from the back appeared to not have the decision making authority to take timely action on toilet paper shortage. Hopefully it will be better next time.

Sometimes the mom and pop stores are the best experiences, compared to chain stores, not so here. We stopped simply for gas (overpriced, as previously mentioned by others). Like many travelers, we figured why not get a snack and go to the bathroom. There is no public restroom, and as mentioned by everyone the person (man, in this case) behind the counter was not the friendliest. The customer area of the store is probably 8x10, and the snack selection was very limited. As others noted, I'd try to stop at the gas station before or hold off until after, if possible. Unless you are looking for the entertainment of interacting with the staff and animals. 1 star because that's the minimum you can give and their gas price sign made me laugh. I filled up our vehicles then saw on bill I was charged $3.09. I confronted the clerk who told me manager was called. She would not reimburse my money from the incorrect sale. I was made to wait till manager arrived. I WAITED, because this was a wrong for everyone who stopped here. Manager came in , never addressed me as a customer, never apologized, & quickly walked away after telling employee to pay me the difference.
