Came for a float on my birthday. Was a really nice experience. Had a pod with with warm water an epsom salt to myself. I forget the name of the young woman at the counter who helped and walked me through the process but she was kind and courteous. Never felt pushed or like I was being upsold anything. She did offer me a membership package with a price which I declined but I appreciated the offer. Setting an appointment was easy. Called sms asked if they had an opening and got a spot same day. The rooms with the pods were very clean. Plenty of towels and supplies. The shower for pre and post float was well stocked. The conditioner smelled great. Water took a little bit to warm up but that's okay. The float was amazing. Some music played at the beginning and near the end of the float. I recommend closing the pod, turning the lights off for extra ambience. I also recommend the floating head rest. Stillwater Float Center was great for a little treat to myself. First of all called ahead to see what things meant and if they had same day availability. They did and everything was explained to me in detail. I showed up signed the waiver and was walked back and explained the procedure once more had questions answered and got to it. Private room obviously. First showered to rinse off any sweat or other oils that may be on body. Like hair products or deodorants etc. once in the tank with the lid closed you just float. I personally had trouble relaxing fully but I think next time I'd fall asleep. It does help with pain for sure I felt way better coming out not 100% but definitely better. When the time is coming to an end some soothing music begins to play and eventually a little bit of an aggressive AI robot voice tells you your time is up. Shower with provided body wash shampoo and conditioner and head out. The lady that helped me was GREAT! Took time on the phone and in person to make me feel heard in my worries and questions. I am visiting Boise and I love everything about the town. It was my pleasure to go to Stillwater Float Center and meet Maddie. She is an amazing person and representative of everything great about Stillwater Float Center as well as Boise. I had the greatest experience floating and letting the water and salt just take over all my little aches and pains.. it took about 20 minutes to start feeling pain free.. My session was for 60 minutes and I feel great. The facility is clean, private, and so relaxing. I will be back this summer when I return and every time I visit Boise it will be on my to do list. I purchased 3 Gift Certificates in 2019, I tried to use the downtown Boise location since I am less than 3 minutes away, but they closed it down due to the renovations of the building they are in. So I had to drive out to Eagle, I tried to use the gift certificate only to be told it expired, I pointed out the law to her, she stated they are "exempt" from it, I asked her, are you in the state of Idaho? Her reply was yes, I told and showed her the law, they would not honor the gift certificate, I had to pay an additional $22 to have it "renewed" This is NOT the law, I purchased and they need to honor them. I am letting the other 2 go, due to the poor management at the Eagle location. Someone needs to inform them of the law, not their version of it. Gift Certificate Federal law requires a minimum of 5 years from the date of purchase before it expires.Poor business policy - one less customer that will make sure everyone knows about you and your poor customer service. read more

Leaving feeling fantastic! I didn't like floating initially. I tried it twice. Being I have long curly hair, there was no getting around having to shower and blow dry my hair afterwards. I felt rushed afterwards. However, I learned that I didn't need to rush as Stillwater gives plenty of time after your float to shower. It was a year later that I felt pulled to give it a better chance. I went back with an open mind. I now experience the benefits of floating. It relaxes my mind, muscles, body, and emotions. After much anticipation, I had my first float today. I have been wanting to try this for SO long and finally I dove in and made an appointment. I was immediately impressed by the atmosphere. Shortly after arriving right after they opened, I was greeted by the manager who was extremely friendly and inviting. He gave me and another floater a tour of the place. The rooms are very nice and clean, not to mention they were warm so after you exit the pod, you're not uncomfortable and cold. The showers were also clean and well stocked with shampoos and soaps. As far as the actual float session, it was beyond euphoric. It took me a couple minutes to truly let go and fully relax since I've never experienced anything like this before. Once I finally figured it out, I found myself peacefully floating alone with my thoughts. After floating for an hour, the pod light kicked on and brought me back down to Earth. I felt an overwhelming sensation of a lightness and relaxation I've never felt in my life. It was as if I had taken the longest and most refreshing sleep of my entire life. My body was completely recharged. That feeling continued for a good portion of the rest of my day. After the most phenomenal shower of my entire existence, I walked out to the front to pay where I was greeted again by the manager. Later in the day I found out after glancing at a pamphlet I picked up earlier, that there was a complimentary beverage of either tea or water. It would have been nice to have been told that before leaving. Regardless I will definitely be back to float again, and will definitely be keeping my sights on a future membership. The girl at the front desk was super friendly and was willing to walk me through every step of the floating process. She was kind and answered all my questions. This was definitely different than anything I've ever tried before. You basically float in a pod of fancy salt water for an hour, with your choice of music or silence, lights or darkness, and an open or closed pod. At first, it had a bit of a "sci-fi" feel to it. But once I started floating, it was magnificent! After the float, I felt an overwhelming feeling of relaxation and weightlessness. I felt like I had just been messaged for hours and at the same time slept for an entire day. The facility was extremely clean and the owner was friendly and helpful. Floating can be expensive, so I recommend signing up on the email list, as they email coupons and deals every so often. Overall, this was a tremendously relaxing and refreshing experience. read more

I personally think floating is a really fun and enjoyable experience and I've done it three times now, each time being at a different location in a different state. I heard that Boise had opened a float center so I was anxious to bring my husband for a date night and let him experience floating for the first time. I do feel like the float center was nice and they had nice equipment; however my four stars is definitely based off of feeling like there was little to no instruction as to how we use the equipment and there was little to no excitement or energy from the person who was working to add enjoyment to our experience. Had I not floated before, I would have been very confused as to how to go about the whole process. There wasn't much guidance for little details that people would probably like to know, like "don't touch or itch your face once you're in or until you've showered, as the salt can burn especially getting close to your eyes or lips, etc." I hope to go back and have a better experience with Stillwater Float center in the future. We had a good experience, I just feel that when you work at a unique place, offering a unique service like floating, 1. You should have some enthusiasm to offer to customers to get them excited about being there! And 2. Its not everyday that people float, or know little details that can make the experience the best one possible; so getting some tips and secrets on amplifying the experience would have gone a long way! After reading the Review of the Day for Sillwater, I added myself to their mailing list in hopes of a good deal. I was excited when a nearly half-price email was sent out, and quickly booked my visit online - a feature I love. The location is great, central and easy access. The atmosphere is awesome, very simple decor with a peaceful mood. Their was only one gal working, which was fine because I didn't see/hear any other customers during my visit, and she was nice. However, I found her to be unprofessional. She was very casual in conversation, using slang, and was wearing a tshirt and basketball shorts. That took away from the atmosphere. She showed me to my room and stumbled through an explanation of the tank/the process, then let me be. The rooms are a little small for the very large tanks, but the shower was great (after the water finally got warm). I did not enjoy my float experience, although I don't attest that to this company. My joints felt heavy the whole time so I was uncomfortable, and I ended up with water in my eye and my mouth -- NOT pleasant. After my float, I nearly fell trying to walk over and grab a towel. The water took a long time to heat up again, so I was left standing and shivering for a few minutes. I love that they have shampoo, conditioner, and body wash in the showers! Upon leaving, the service was even less professional. I work in sales and understand that you must earn the right to try and sell someone, so I was uncomfortable with her spending 5 minutes trying to push a package on me. I then had to remind her of my coupon, because she attempted to charge me full price. Not impressed with much here, so I won't be returning or recommending. read more

Went in not knowing what to expect. I have a small case of claustrophobia and for me to get in a completely dark tank was not what I really wanted to do. Once I got in the tank they started the music. I tried to relax but it was hard. I kept reaching for the handle and opening the door a bit so I didn't feel trapped. After 10 minutes the music stopped and I was in a dark, quiet tank. I considered getting out but I was determined to see it through. It took about 30 minutes for me to relax and once I did it was wonderful. I feel great and will definitely do it again. I highly recommend! read more

This place was great. Jared was incredible nice and very informative. I was overly shocked how relaxing the place ended up being. Once I got in the pod it was a bit weird at first to be floating there. After about 5 minutes is when you really start to enjoy it. It felt like I was in there all afternoon and the person forgot to notify me to get out. That was not the case. Time stands still and your skin...feels amazing afterwards! Tried my first float today and what a wonderful experience. Not sure what I expected but whatever it was, this certainly exceeded anything I could imagine. The venue is super clean and well put together and, most importantly to a germo-phobe like me, uber clean. One of the owners, Jerrod, was incredibly nice, informative and made me feel very comfortable. I came out of the float feeling light and relaxed and glad they had thought of all the amenities! The tea after was a nice finishing touch and I enjoyed sitting and chatting with him and his wife. They really know what customer service is and I'm so glad to support a business like this in Boise! Experience was great. Booked an appointment for my fiancé. Quoted 65$ for first time floater for 1.5 hours. While sat and waited for me fiancé. A guy came out to pay and I overheard there's a special for first time float is free if u sign up for membership. Went outside to wait. My fiancé came out saying he paid 75$ instead of 65$ and he left a tip of 25$. So I email the owner and he did confirm it's 65$ and he would refund me 10$ and give me they same special. Which is pretty nice. But why did they overcharged us and not offer the special from the beginning? Feels like crap to be treated like your money is different then the other guy. I wouldn't give these people business. Treated unfair. The other paying customer I saw. He was trying to get him to sign up for membership which he decline. With me fiancé he got overcharged and didn't even get an offer for membership. U should treat all your customers the same read more

How would I describe the floating experience? 2 words: Simply Amazing. I have never done this before, but was invited by my brother to go and try this place out. The facility is clean, the staff was friendly, and the private rooms are very well designed. I enjoyed my 1 hour of relaxation. It is different at first to float so effortlessly in the pods, it is nothing like floating in a swimming pool. It takes a few minutes to find a comfortable floating position, but once you find it, you simply relax and breathe. I recommend this place to anyone looking for some relaxation. My brother straight up fell asleep for over 30 minutes while floating -- he was THAT relaxed! read more
