The situation became humiliating when staff made me call the owner from the front lobby in front of other customers to discuss my rash and concerns publicly. I was then told that because the owner is "certified," she knew what was best for me, despite my previous reaction and discomfort. I felt like I had to beg not to be placed in that bed again. The atmosphere was stressful and unwelcoming, which is the opposite of what a tanning salon should feel like. Staff came across as rude and inflexible, and the membership policies were frustrating. Even when beds had longer session limits available, they would only allow extremely short sessions, making the membership feel like a waste of money. Ultimately, my membership was canceled because I advocated for myself and did not want to risk another rash. I would not recommend this salon if you value customer service, privacy, or flexibility. There are much better tanning options in Nampa and Middleton.

They also offer massage and other wellness services through the Flow Studio Spa, which is a great bonus. One of my favorite things about Flow Studio is the variety of classes. While I usually gravitate toward a classic hot yoga flow, I've recently tried--and loved--the rebound class (think mini trampolines... it's a serious workout!) and Buti yoga. There's plenty of parking behind the building, and every staff member I've encountered has been absolutely wonderful. If you're in the Boise area, this studio is definitely worth checking out.

But due to the bad economy we had to cancel our membership. I had about $400 in credits that I could use for massages and facials. I went in for a massage and my wife had a facial. I figured I could use the rest of my credits. A few weeks ago, I tried to book an appointment and they said all my credits were gone. I was shocked. Then they told me the sent me a text that I had 90 days to use the credits. In those subsequent appointment they never told me I would lose my credits or gave me a reminder. I believe this was on purpose. I pleaded with the manager but they refused to help me or make things right. I left a message with Hand & Stone head office in Pennsylvania. I have yet to hear back from them. I lost $300 worth of credits! They could have done something to help me but now I'll never go back and I'll warn everyone. Beware of this place.
