She understands your skeptism and welcomes it because beyond the actual practice she talks you through everything she is doing, She makes the atmosphere condusive to allowing a healing process to take place with a soothing background music and nice aromic oils and candles. She doesn't push you, she talks to you. You always feel like you are in good hands. I have also had the pleasure of going through a yoga class with her and again she uses the same philosophy there. You feel like she really wants you to get everyhting out of the experience but she never pushes, just guides. Ultimately you get the general feeling she gives a crap about you and your well being, instead of just sanctifying the purity of the process. Literally I have been to some Hilter-esque yoga classes and felt like the red headed stepchild but never with Chris. Don't get me wrong she cares about the process and it's purity too but she also understands that on your first day you may not be able to do the Straight legs side crow. So if you are a beginner like me or a massage skeptic, The Healing Space is the best place you can possibly find to help you through some of your "issues".

Seth was very personable and explained everything I needed to know about the experience. He even gave me a little gift bag with shampoo, body wash and earplugs (to keep the water out of my ears). They use a whole lotta Epsom salts to achieve a salinity akin to the Dead Sea. You cannot, not float. He explained how the tank is kept sanitary. He showed me how easily the lid opened, in case I started to feel claustrophobic (I did not). Then he left so that I could get undressed. You can wear a bathing suit, or not. I chose not. Because of the high salinity, the water feels a bit viscous and slippery. It was unexpected, but not objectionable. I pressed the button that started my session, closed the lid, laid back in the water and floated and floated and floated .... in almost complete darkness (a small amount of ambient light coming under the door from the hallway filtered through the gasket of the closed tank). Unlike Sheldon (Big Bang Theory), I did not see Mandelbrot Sets in the darkness. When the time was up, I raised the lid, showered and dressed, then left feeling totally relaxed. The only negative was that the salts get on anything you touch until you shower. But, that's a small thing that was easily remedied. I look forward to doing this again.

My experience at Mindful Movement was amazing. It took care of much needed relaxation. I was also…read moreimpressed yesterday with the many services available there and I plan to make the center a part of my complete wellness package.

She explains why form is so important and reminds us that "less is more" even when we're stretching to our own limits. She has helped me through a shoulder injury - I'm so grateful for her guidance and personal attention. I truly believe her Yoga 101 series would be the best way for anyone new to yoga to learn this beautiful practice in the safest and most genuine way. I also recently took Lindey's hot yoga class at East Cobb Yoga and thought it was fantastic! She was really tuned in to all the students in the class and I found myself smiling all through class just because of her disposition. Absolutely come take a class!
