Peach Out Power Yoga - Peacock Pose

    Peach Out Power Yoga

Walked into PeachOut Power Yoga about three years ago knowing basically nothing about yoga -- and…read morehonestly, it turned out to be one of the better decisions I've made. From day one, the vibe in this place is different. The other students are genuinely warm and welcoming, not just tolerant of the new guy stumbling through his first chaturanga. But the instructors are the real reason people become regulars. This crew is equal parts knowledgeable, entertaining, and invested in the people in their classes. They actually know who you are, where you're at in your practice, and how to push you without losing you. That combination is rarer than it should be. And then there's the owner. She has built something special here -- a studio that the community genuinely loves, which is a direct reflection of how much she loves that community right back. Her classes fill up fast and for obvious reasons: this isn't incense and silence, it's deep stretches and power flows with Journey blasting and the whole room laughing and dripping sweat. It works, and it's fun. Operationally, this place punches above its weight too. Open every single day of the year, solid class sizes (no awkward three-person sessions like you'll find at other East Cobb studios), and a schedule that actually fits real life -- heated, non-heated, power, slow flow, and stretch options running from 6am to 6:15pm. If you're on the fence, grab one of their new client specials and give it a month. You'll leave feeling better physically, and you'll have found a community worth being part of.

    Korsi Hot Yoga

I came on Sunday morning with ClassPass to the 8:30am Hot Hip Opener…read more Clean, airy and plenty of sunshine, this studio has a non-pretentious welcoming atmosphere. This particular class is ninety-five degrees (just enough to be cozy without being suffocating) and open to all levels. My hamstring and hips are super duper tight so I struggled to hold some of the poses, but the teacher (I forgot her name but she was great) always offered modifications to make the poses either easier or more challenging. She explained in detail how to perfect alignment, which muscles are targeted and the specific areas we should feel the stretch (for me: Every area. Every time. Didn't take much.) I used blocks and a strap, and the poses were held long enough to get the benefit of the stretch and then move on. (I get very antsy and aggravated when teachers sometimes get lost in instructing another student and forget the rest of the class is patiently waiting to move into the next asana!) I think she gauged the abilities of the people in the room and adjusted the stretch accordingly, especially on very intense, demanding poses. I walked away feeling less tight and decompressed. I will be back and recommend this class to anyone struggling with tight hips/hamstrings! Other notes: -The music played during class was good. -There is plenty of parking. -I really like the flooring, it has a little "give" instead of being rock hard like some places. -The girl at the front desk was super nice, she let me borrow a cup to bring water into the studio.

I've visited a lot of yoga studios across the country and this one is pretty good! The ladies that…read morecheck you in are very friendly and I had no issues with customer service or cleanliness. They also have a lot of classes available which I really appreciated! Nothing is worse than a studio that only offers one (or zero) hot flow classes each evening. The heating of the studio is good, I can get my sweat and detox on. Some studios are luke warm and I need to wear a hoodie to get a sweat going. Most of the instructors were great, however one was lackluster and was also in poor physical shape. Considering I only had 5 new student classes to use I wish I had that one back. I think the pricing is a bit high for me, which is why I didn't sign up for a membership. Heck, the 5 class new student package for $50 is VERY pricey considering competitors offer 30 day unlimited for new students for around $30-$50.

I actually really enjoyed the yoga for healthy back! The other yoga that I tried was just OK (I think it was the complete yoga class). Some of the things that I wish were a little bit different was the parking/location. It is in a very busy plaza so it can sometimes just feel really crowded and hectic. Also, the smell of the studio does not seem super fresh! The studio is upstairs, so it's not super convenient although it isn't difficult to find if you go up the elevator or stairs. It is a small studio with a couple of yoga rooms. One of the classes I went to wasn't very full, but the other one was. The teachers are very nice and accommodating, and made sure that there was space for everyone! I thought the yoga classes were decent enough, but I wouldn't say I learned anything new. I won't be purchasing a permanent class pass, but I also don't think there is anything particularly wrong with the studio. I think it's all about just finding the best fit of what resonates with the individual yogi.

Has been super healing for me as I get back into yoga after a few years off. My only complaint would be that there are not enough weekend classes so the few that do exist are always packed - make sure to get there early for a good spot! Parking in Smyrna Village can be hard to come by, so you may have to park a bit further away so make sure to allow time to walk to the studio, up the stairs or take the elevator to the 2nd floor and be in class by the exact start time - if you are more than 5 min late, they will not let you in!
