Catalyst locations seem to get a wide range of reviews, but for this location, the reviews were…read moreSPOT ON! Recommended to us by a Head Shop manager in Redondo Beach, it was the closest dispensary, 25 mins, from our stayca spot. Set back in a corner of a strip mall, Catalyst has quite a footprint. On the Friday we popped in, a brand they offer had an event in the Catalyst "event room". I guess it was for invited guests who partake of that particular brand because it wasn't just open to anyone. No prob for us, we were just popping in to check out Catalyst. Hubs made a purchase, got a first timers discount and was given a flyer for Customer Appreciation Day the next day! We returned the next day after lunch and Hubs was sure they would be out of House Shake since it was a sale day. He not only picked up what he wanted, but not ONCE did I hear a bud tender say, 'oh, actually, we're out of that,' which I seem to hear, pretty much every time, at other sales events. It starts to feel more like a closeout sale. Not at Catalyst! They seemed well stocked with quite a large selection and welcoming staff once again. Hubs found these ADORABLE mini (1/2 size?) joints he thought would be fun for a few hits. Nope, them bad babies were 2 puffs and "2BC". Strooong, he says. I'll have to take the ol' hippy's word for it, but he thought those were a real find on a customer appreciation day. Prices seem in line with others we've been to. The only trick can be the parking. It is, indeed a strip mall. One looong strip of single parking, one way in, same way out. Be patient, bring good vibes only and you'll get what you need. Cheers! "CC"

I love this place, and the people here are usually very helpful and courteous. I regularly…read morerecommend this location to my family and friends and have always had positive experiences. Unfortunately, during my visit today, I had a disappointing interaction with the female employee at the front who was greeting customers. My son, whom I referred as a new customer, was given incorrect information regarding pricing, the first-time customer discount, and the referral incentive program. Even after we pointed out that the pricing was clearly displayed and that signage explained the first-time customer discounts, she laughed and continued to insist on information that appeared to be inaccurate. Experiences like this can damage customer trust and may result in the loss of loyal customers and referrals if they continue. I sincerely hope this was an isolated incident and not representative of the level of service this location strives to provide. I want to emphasize that I genuinely like this business and have had many positive experiences here. Unfortunately, I did not get the employee's name. She was a Caucasian woman with blonde hair, glasses, and a shorter stature. I would have preferred to identify her by name rather than description, but neither my son nor I obtained her name. I hope management will address this issue so that future customers receive accurate information and the excellent service that has made me such a loyal supporter of this location.

Pro tip: this location only takes cash, they do have an ATM available, but of course there is a fee. They had new member promos, so I benefited from the buy 5G get 5G. My flower was placed in a zip lock bag and the preroll they provided as promo was dried and not good (per my friend)
