She has a wide selection of flowering plants and herbs. All of them are selected for the cold climate of northern Vermont. It is a beautiful walk to just walk through the gardens. If you go back out to the dirt road you can cross the bridge (2 minute walk) and visit the Lilly garden on the other side. When they are all in bloom, it is an explosion of color. Be sure to check out the river banks and slopes. Those are a mixture of Vermont wild flowers and flowers that Kate planted. Most of the plants are for sale. She will dig plants and sell them if she doesn't have them in pots.

We got there and they claimed that due to a scheduling issue the only place they could seat us was an extremely dirty section of lawn furniture that had zero views of the garden, but a perfect view of the kitchen and everybody else being seated at tables. In our area they literally brushed off dirt and debris on stained cushions in front of us, and expected us to sit there in our white linens which visibly stained my partner's pants. It turned out there were a number of tables that were available. It felt like we were being isolated into a colored section as people of color. They then had the audacity to ask for a full price and a sizable tip for a really awful experience. A place to avoid. Does not make the green book.

We were in Vermont for the July 4th holiday weekend and were glad to find a new and resonablly priced antique store in the Kingdom. Located in a former Ben Franklin, with the old oiled hardwood floors, this store has over 60 consignment booths that are all cool and interesting. From housewares to furniture, milk stools, maple sap taps, artwork, antique kitchen stoves, and collectibles decorate the modestly well kept store. My finds: A large square aluminum skillet and a cast iron fry pan both for my camper. Open year round, closed Wednesdays and Sundays. 10:00- 5:00 daily.
