We needed a delivery with a boom truck and we needed it fairly fast. They came through with flying colors.

Dad's has always been one of the best local places to go and find any hardware that you could need…read moreat a very affordable price. I would highly recommend them.

Pros: Great…read moreassortment of tools, automotive fluids, and hardware all priced very reasonably The store is well organized, and is clean Cons: The store is not what I would call "Shopper Friendly" If one was to visit any other hardware store, or a Lowes, or a Home Depot, they would find that in the hardware department there are all kinds of bulk loose hardware. And conveniently located throughout the loose hardware department are parts bags so that loose hardware can be purchased, and can be segregated if desired. Those parts bags are needed, and without them customers are far less likely to purchase loose hardware, and is especially true of one is purchasing multiple loose hardware items and wants to avoid a big sorting job after getting home and who purposely segregates the items in separate parts bags. But at Dads, I needed an assortment of heavy wire lugs in different wire gauges, and in different hole sizes. Dads also sells bulk nuts, bolts, washers, screws, etc. I scoured each aisle in an effort to find parts bags so that I could purchase the assortment that I needed. I did not find even one location that had parts bags. Finally, I asked the clerk at the register about parts bags, and he told me that they did not have any. So I grabbed a hand basket, went over to where the cable lugs were nicely organized, and priced at a reasonable price, and put together the assortment that I wanted to purchase (i.e., Six 1/0 lugs with 3/8" holes, six #4 lugs with 3/8" holes, etc.). I purposely put each type of lug in a segregated pile in the basket, and when it was time to check out, I carefully handed the basket to the cashier and explained that each pile had identical items. He'd input an item from one pile, and since there were 6 items in that one pile that were all identical, he'd input a quantity of 6 for that pile before moving to the next pile. He rang up all of the lugs, along with a spool of wire and the total came to about $55 +/-. The cashier poured all items into one bag that became a mess of unsorted, unsegregated loose parts that left me with a sorting job that I really did not need nor want, and certainly would have been avoided in any other store that sold loose parts and had the common sense to put out parts bags in convenient locations. This experience is why I say that Dads is not "Shopper Friendly".
