They recently sent me a letter saying they were too busy to finish the new house I am building and left the rough in unfinished. In June of 2023 i gave them A 50% deposit,$8000, to wire a new house. In March of 2024 when i was planning rough in work I called the office the woman on the phone, Alec's wife just laughed, said they were to busy and hung up. My loan officer at the bank had to call Sutton River to get them to show up and start work. They showed up with no advanced notice. I had 70% of the house ready for them. I had to scramble to finish the interior strapping and vapor retarder as Alec said he was there to work or they would just leave. He was total asshat. They got to 95% finished and left. My drywaller and i found items they had forgotten, wire to water pump, which was installed prior to them starting, no outlets in the laundry/mechanical room, and no wire to the outside lights on the barn, which had conduit installed when the foundation was poured. For 5 weeks they kept telling me they would come back and finish the work. Then i received a letter telling me they were too busy and would not be coming back. I had paid them an additional $3300 by this point and had been current in my bills. With only months left on my construction loan term, and drywall subs doing finish work, I have been left hanging by by Alec , the owner of Sutton River.

Scott was one of them and gave us a time frame of about 3 weeks which we thought was pretty good especially since the other company couldn't get to us for over a month. We were looking to have a few semi-flush mounted light fixtures, a ceiling fan and chandelier above the stairs replaced, and an outlet added so that we could move our TV above the fireplace. Scott was very professional and worked quickly. I was both pleased and surprised that he even changed his shoes before coming in the house and swept up after himself. I was also very thankful that he was able to fix an incorrectly installed ceiling fan that could have come down at any time (our baby is obsessed sitting under and watching our ceiling fan when it is on). He is priced fairly, does great work in a timely manner, and cleans up after himself. What more can you ask for? I would not hesitate to recommend his services and I will definitely be contacting him for future projects.
