Local furniture repair stores we consulted all agreed that the crack was due to manufacture defects (the design, the chosen wood, and/or the way of crafting). We then contacted Lyndon, but were surprised to know that there is only 2-year manufacturer warranty with Lyndon furniture, even though Lyndon website claims: "We are committed to quality and customer satisfaction, and we believe that you and your family will be proud to own our furniture for generations to come." The price for solid wood furniture from Lyndon may be a little less expensive compared to other manufacturers, but it is too expensive considering the life time of their furniture is only about two years. David constructed his first woodworking shop in Lyndon, VT from timber he cut from the family farm and had milled locally. Over the years, seven additions have been built on the original building and two more factories have been added, bringing the total to over 140,000 square feet of production space and employing approximately 80 crafts people. In 2000, David was recognized as the "Vermont Small Business Person of the Year" by the Small Business Association. An honor which he says belongs as much to his employees as to himself. As 2013 came to a end, David sold the company to Brian Ball, once General Manager and now Vice-President. David remains President, while Brian now leads the company into a promising future.
