Love this store and all the goods in it. The lady that works there is super cool and fun to chat with.

Wow! If I lived in Durango, I would shop here often. Their front window display was inviting. They…read morehave beautiful clothes, boots, shoes, jewelry, and accessories. Reminds me of Sundance style. Kit was so friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. She took items to a dressing room for me to try on and gave good advice. I bought a gorgeous golden colored Johnny Was embroidered velvet dress and a soft Tribal cobalt blue sweater. They have a sale rack, Brighton jewelry, Double D bouts, lots of socks, scarves, gloves, jackets, etc. They have an Instagram account and will ship. Good to know since I was visiting from out of state.

The associate immediately became hostile toward me, saying that she doesn't appreciate it when people come into her store and look up products online. When I explained that I was simply responding to a text message, she told me to be respectful and said that if I couldn't do that, I would have to leave. She then went even further and accused me of trying to put her shop out of business. This entire encounter caught me so off guard that I didn't even know how to respond. I ended up leaving after being in the store for less than 10 minutes. I was genuinely shocked by how I was treated, especially since I had done nothing but walk in, browse, and respond to a text message. It was an incredibly uncomfortable and disappointing experience.

OMG HEAVEN! How…read moreabsolutely cute is this place. AMAZING selection of clothes and shoes, jackets and hats.....you could swim in the amazingness. The owner is outrageously cute and helpful and will pick up a few things to help you find an outfit and pull it together. She'll give you her honest opinion when you try something on. Which is GREAT, because you know she's not just going to try to make a sale. If it isn't flattering, she'll let you know. Which I can't say thank you enough for! I really enjoyed perusing the garb here, and I bought a few things and it wasn't too bad price-wise. :) While it can definitely be harder to buy vintage for curvier women---she does a pretty good job stocking a selection of garb that fits a good swath of sizes.

The price tags on each item help to identify the era of the piece. The shop is decorated really cool, I had fun checking out all of the funky stuff in there. I was impressed by the selection of pretty vintage clothes and found a 50's sundress to bring home with me. Pricing was about what you'd find on Etsy - ($20+ for tops, $26-$40ish for dresses) maybe a little steep for a small town but still do-able. As a fellow vintage clothing seller, I really do enjoy supporting other sellers and was happy to do so here. I stumbled upon this shop after going to the old antique shop next door. There's no mention of Sideshow on Yelp or Google Maps so hopefully this review will help other vintage clothing lovers find this shop. The owner's mother was working when I visited and she was a very nice gal, even helping me get a zipper unstuck. Check it out if you're passing through Dolores!

This O'Reilly Auto Parts location was basically a lifesaver for us!…read more On our way up the mountain in Durango, our check engine light came on. After calling a few different shops, we weren't able to find anyone who could get us in immediately. After explaining the symptoms over the phone, it sounded like there was a concern we needed to address before continuing our trip up the mountain. So we turned around, headed back down, and stopped at O'Reillys to have them scan the car and see what was actually going on. The scan showed an ignition coil misfire. At that point, we had a choice: wait a day or potentially a couple of days for a shop to get us in, or see if I could handle it myself. Thankfully, O'Reillys made the second option possible. I was able to purchase the replacement coil for about $70 and borrow the tools I needed from the store to remove the old coil and install the new one myself right there. When I had called around to some of the local shops, I was getting quotes of roughly $700 to do essentially the same repair using O'Reillys parts. Instead, I was able to get the part and use their tools and take care of it myself for about $70. They obviously didn't do the labor for me, but that's exactly what made this experience so valuable. They gave me access to the resources I needed to fix the problem on the spot without having to wait days for a shop or spend hundreds of dollars buying tools I may never need again. They also let me scan the check engine light multiple times without any issue, which gave me the confidence that I was actually diagnosing the right problem before replacing anything. The guys working there were extremely easygoing and made the whole process really easy to deal with. And after working on a car, you know how disgusting your hands can get. I was even able to clean up in the restroom using the heavy-duty soap they have that actually takes the grease and grime off your hands. Most importantly, we were traveling with my wife, our five kids, and our new dog. Being able to get the car fixed and safely continue our trip instead of being stranded in Durango waiting for a repair shop was huge. I know O'Reillys didn't technically "repair" my vehicle, but their customer service, diagnostic scanner, loaner tools, parts availability, and willingness to let me handle the repair myself made all the difference. Couldn't be happier with this experience. This location absolutely came through when we needed them most!

We wandered into this fabulous store for a few minutes while we were waiting on a table for dinner…read more I immediately spotted the exact pair of cowgirl boots I've been wanting. They are just gorgeous and, unfortunately, I failed to take a photo of them to show you (I'm such a terrible Yelper sometimes). It must have been fate because all the boots on the shelves were the only sizes the store had in stock and my size just happened to be sitting right there in front of me. So, I was able to try on my first pair of cowgirl boots! They fit perfectly and, of course, they were completely adorable. I just wasn't ready to pay the $465 price tag so I put them back on the shelf for someone else to discover and cherish. While I was busy being infatuated with boots, Mr. P. was trying on hats from the huge selection of men's and ladies' Western style headwear. He found the perfect hat and it was even on sale but, sadly, they didn't have his size. The friendly and helpful shopkeeper gave him all the information about the hat so he could find it online and order it that way. She said she was just happy to help him find what he wanted, even if he didn't buy it from her store. I thought that was awesome. The store carries lots of Western clothing and jackets, tons of leather belts & belt buckles, and all kinds of leather accessories like wallets, key rings, and leather bracelets. As I was admiring a beautiful leather purse, I was told that all of the leatherwork is done in-house. Wow! Don't miss Appaloosa Trading Co. when you're in the market for some custom leather goods. Even if you walk out the door empty handed, you'll be treated to some amazing service.
