Not much has otherwise changed since my last review, which I honestly appreciate! Dietz Market has been around for a good long time in Durango. It's a mainstay along the highway as one of the first places you may come across when entering the town from the south. Almost hidden along 160, just before you get to Farmington Hill, you'll find this local gift and garden shop. Every time I visit, I find something new and interesting in the store, and now that I no longer live in Durango, I make sure to stop by before leaving. It has all sorts of interesting things, including spices and sauces, eclectic kitchen goods, toys for the kids, coffee, chocolates, pottery, chili ristras at harvest time, fairy garden furniture, and lots of pots and outdoor decorations for your butterfly garden at home. It isn't burdened by the crowds that shop downtown, so swing by if you get a chance. Fun!

Sure enough, in the back of this teeny tiny shop the woman working there found a copy in the Christmas stock (that they typically keep boxed until after Christmas). So I ran in, went to the t-shirt section, and luckily they had one left in my size. While the cashier was ringing my purchase up, I took a look around, and thought I have to come back here before we leave to go home tomorrow. They had so many interesting cute souvenir items, and the prices seemed reasonable for a resort town. I was in and out within 5 minutes. But in that five minutes I could see that anything you could possible want that says Durango, or Colorado, or both is in this store. By the time we got back from our excursion the store was closed, and I was disappointed, because we had to leave early in the morning. I didn't have a chance to get anything except my t-shirt. :( I will have to plan a trip for next fall when the leaves are changing. Such a beautiful time to visit Durango. Make sure you bring extra dough though as this town is expensive.
