Enjoy Troy, indeed!…read more An impromptu yelp reunion happened here last Thursday, and I was so happy to be out in Troy. What a busy Thursday, the streets were filled, patios full all around, and a beautiful clear night for some ice cream. It had been a while since I had been to Dutch Udder, and they have expanded but still offer the same great homemade ice cream. I went for a tropical pick - some beach. It was a fun flavor! I wish I got more ice cream to go. It is a little pricy at $5.75 for a kiddie size, but the quality is there to back it up. The expanded seating area was so cute! I loved the decor and cute seating. It was the perfect area to meet up with some friends for an hour. Every time I venture out to Troy, I love it a little more. Come get some ice cream!

This location in Downtown Troy is an older store that was recently remodeled to provide more fresh food options. I'm generally here a couple times a week and staff is usually attentive. It wasn't busy and our ice cream came within about five minutes. She even brought over a special kid package for Harrison with a temperature color-changing spoon. Neat! Our ice cream was as good as I remembered it. Harrison mostly focused on the candy and whipped cream, so I actually got two sundaes (for the prices of, well, two sundaes). Speaking of of which, prices of everything has gone up but I didn't think it was unreasonable for a sit-down experience. The menu had lots of yummy looking ice cream sundaes and we may need to come back and try a few more.

I would have liked to have gotten gas at the Stewarts near where I picked up the rider, but when I noticed this place, I chose to get it here anyways. Heck, I was coming here with my GasBuddy card in hand (using this card gets me 5 cents off per gallon) and when you couple that with cheaper price per gallon than those nearer me, this doesn't depress me at all. (Knowing of a problem with running GasBuddy card transactions inside, I knew that using the card at the pump was a good transaction). I really don't know why people see this place as being that bad. Seeing it from the outside, didn't show it as too bad. I mean, it wasn't too clean, but from what I needed it for, it got the job done. If I had had my family members Price Chopper card with me, what could I have saved on top of my 5 cents per gallon from my GasBuddy card? Seriously? Can customers be able to answer an alternate ID with a phone number at the pump instead if they don't have their card with them? I could have answered that and saved myself duly here, but no: not yet is this in place.
