The way employees are treated is horrible, the bagels are "fresh baked" but they always look undercooked or over cooked.

I have been to this Whole Foods before but never felt motivated to write a review. However,…read moretoday's visit incites commentary. Reasons for visit: 1. They stock Lamb Sausage which I need for my Easter Brunch, and it is not available at other places in my area. Bought it. 2. I want a jar if their Organic Vietnamese Cinnamon which Consumer Reports says has one the lowest levels of LEAD as compared to the majority of cinnamon offered by other markets. Bought it. Having just come from Trader Joe's on Wolf Road, I noticed some profound differences including: --Really high prices at Whole Foods. For example, quality Lasagna I buy regularly at TJs is $7.99. A comparable Lasagna at WF was $13.99! Really? Same size. --Many aisles were blocked with very large carts used by staff for restocking. Traffic jams! See photo. --Stock is displayed on shelving that goes from floor level to about 10 plus feet high! You need to get someone with a picker tool to reach items on top shelves. It was uncomfortable to get the items practically on the floor on the lower shelves. Not accessible to those with back issues. See photo. --Fewer staff on floor available to answer questions. --One check out station. I had planned on getting some prepared food from the self serve food section, but at 11:20 am none of it was out on the steam table. Salad Bar was available, but did not interest me today. I will continue to be a regular at TJs and only go to WF if necessary. TJs provides a more pleasant shopping experience with better prices.

Wanted a sweet treat and came across this chocolate peanut butter pie slice at Whole Foods. It was…read more16% off so it came to under $3. I'm a HUGE fan of chocolate peanut butter pie so you know I have to judge. This one was ok but nowhere near as good as the one I make at home. The chocolate crust was VERY dry and was all crumbs when I put my fork into it. I had to use the filling as a paste to get the crust in one bite. The flavor was eh. You can definitely tell that they use healthier ingredients which makes it lack in good flavor. When I make it at home the crust is never crumbly and the flavor tastes like actual peanut butter and chocolate, not like a diet taste. Probably wouldn't get it again. It comes off as a fake chocolate peanut butter pie and it's not worth the calories. Next time I'll just get a Snickers bar or something from the mall next door.

My wife and I live near Wolf Road and do most of our grocery shopping there, but I like to explore…read moreother supermarkets within a short driving distance. Knowing that this was the special "Kosher Price Chopper" we came here on a Saturday afternoon. Despite a bit of snow overnight, the roads were fine at 11AM when we arrived. But the place was deserted. I don't understand it. Like the other P.C. on Central Avenue east of here, this place was large and gorgeous. A huge produce section, lots of prepared foods areas, and wide aisles. But no one was here, staff included. The prepared foods literally had 2 pizzas and lots of open shelves. The deli was tiny. I asked the deli where the olive bar was and got "the olive bar?" as a response. Some produce we can get at Hanafords but we cannot get at either of the two P.C. listed, such as bagged snowpeas. Many of the apples of the type I liked were soft, mealy, or bruised here. The Kosher section was pretty nice with lots of food, though either due to the certification process or the shipment from NYC everything was much more expensive than non-Kosher equivalents. But, if you want to eat strictly Kosher food it was convenient to have everything together. What was disappointing was that the deli was closed (perhaps they were observing the Sabbath), with no staff around. I was hoping to get legitimate Jewish pastrami and couldn't, so I settled on the regular P.C. deli stuff. When I asked up front if the Jewish section was opened on Saturday I was told yet, but that they had called in due to the snow. People say lots of supermarket choices are good for customers. But what good is it to have a really nice store if customers don't shop there, the perpared foods sections are completely empty, and the things I need aren't available? I wasn't looking to switch stores, but this certainly reinforced how good I have it on Wolf Road.

Price Chopper - Yeah, that's right. Strawberries AND broccoli in the same forkful. Problem?

Price Chopper - They carry sufganiyot (jelly donuts)! Typically eaten on Hanukkah. Not sure if they carry this during other times of the year
