This particular location is a few streets away from Broadway in Saratoga, where you will also find yet another Stewart's. This store was clean and well lit. This is the perfect place to stop in when you forget to buy milk or eggs at the grocery store. Stewart's has their own brand of beer too, it's fairly inexpensive and not too bad. A lot of my friends and acquaintances in the area love the ice cream from here, I would give it about 8 out of 10. There are a TON of flavor options!! This is definitely an inexpensive place to pick up a tasty frozen treat for a price that won't break the bank. Good place to take kids and you can use your debit/credit card, some of the mom and pop ice cream stands require you to have cash. You can buy pre-packaged cartons of ice cream or get a cone/sundae. So if you are wandering Saratoga and looking for ice cream, I recommend giving this a try over Cold Stone. You will probably save a few bucks!

I had also read they have terrific ice cream, so guess what, we tried some. I stupidly left it up to my husband to "surprise me," and while they are known for amazing flavor choices, and thinking he KNOWS how I like unusual and interesting flavors, he walks out with a mix of vanilla and chocolate. Are you kidding me? It was especially difficult for me to keep my mouth shut because I was pissed off, but he was kind enough to get it for me and bring it out, so I could just wait in the car. I have to say, though, I quickly went from anger at the boring ice cream flavors to extreme enjoyment because it was some of the BEST vanilla and chocolate ice cream I had ever eaten. Truly delicious. I was definitely thinking we'd get some different flavors at other Stewart's Shops in the ensuing days of our travels, but as many as we ended up seeing along our way, we never did stop at any. I also ordered pizza, which he had to get from behind the counter, and it didn't slow down the line at all. I was highly impressed by this. The selection of fresh food, pastries and snacks seemed much better than most other Stewart's Shops that I've been to. The counters were clean, everything was organized and had its place, and even the floors were freshly mopped (on a day when snow was melting and everything outside was muddy). So, I can only extrapolate that they do not actually care about the customer's opinions. My specific feedback was just to let them know about a change in quality around the peanut butter and butter hardroll which tastes great with a cup of coffee. However, they started getting cheap and lately (about the last 6 months or so), I've noticed the peanut butter is a meager, partial skim of flavoring that can be so minimal that is seems practically non-existent. In the past, there was plenty of product to satisfy the palette. The store staff is great and I regret having to give one-star for such a small issue, but it is more about the lack of response from corporate when I've logged three different comments on their customer service platform. (Food -3 stars, Cleanliness + 4 stars, In-store staff, +5 stars, Corporate -100 stars).

The air machine is convenient in the front, but slow. If you want to eat something outside in nice weather, there's a large gazebo in the front of the parking lot. I don't eat here, but I usually pick up something to drink. For food they do make pizza, and there is a Subways next door if you want to "eat fresh" supposedly. Definitely worth it if you need to pee!
