I came in here the other day looking to purchase several dollars of gas for the car, when once I…read moregot in, I was warmly greeted to other customers waiting in line. Well, I do thank this location, because this location had an employee that opened up a new line so that I could pass directly into a line so I wouldn't have to wait to pay for the service. Maybe seeing as I had cash and had the Gas Cash Card in hand (and handy), maybe triggered them to see that I didn't pose a major threat to making the transaction be easy for them to complete. They didn't ask or remind me that I had a Speedy Rewards account I could use at the register, but I remembered the card just after handing them the Gas Cash Card and they completed the transaction smoothly. The money was added and I got a receipt as I asked. I went out and pumped. I had no real problems there. The ground still looks a little old and predates the Speedway pumps, but they work. The fact that the Walmart across the street helps, makes this place a go-to place when I'm in Catskill. I had been here before, but it had been a long time and this time was different : they didn't realize that this time it would be the experience I'd be reviewing about.

Prices don't fluctuate much from sandwich to sandwich, station to station and in a larger scope of pricing, gas, soft drinks, cigarettes and firewood (as it is November) are stable among the service stations of Greene County. I find the differences to boil down to the human factor, the workers who welcome me every morning with a genuine smile and their verbal greeting. And when they are not working, they are cleaning up in and out, Cumberland is always spotless. My purchases were not of any massive variances, the basics for my little fact finding trip and what a wonderful week of weather we had. The $1.07 large coffee started me off daily and it's spectacular, the double ice that was fetched for me from the outside for my every other day food and beverage cooking in my Yeti. To conclude, you're money feels very appreciated here by and your appreciated here and it's just not always that way and it sure feels nice.

There's definitely nicer convenience stores so I wouldn't purposely stop here unless you really needed to stop to use the bathroom or get gas.

Staff were rotating out old coffee for fresh which I appreciate and they had plenty of fresh rolls available, which makes for a great butter roll. Fortunately we didn't experience any unpleasant scenarios that other reviewers noted, so at this point I have to say great job and we will be back.

There were 2 people putting away stock another behind counter counting lottery tickets . When I asked about maybe getting a burger I was told it would be 15-20 minutes as she continued to count . I am a long time Stewart's customer and this store is in such disarray . I wonder where the district manager is because this store is a health issue from the word go . After I made a…read morelarge buy inside the clerk followed my pumping up, by coming outside and attempting to instruct me rudely on how to replace the spout! To Valero: all these clerks need to be fired and replaced. Do not ever follow me out, for no reason. Valero needs to train its lowly clerks. Do not ever talk to customers like they don't know how to pump gas! Valero is bad gas anyway. Review: 0

This station can get pretty busy at times, with every pump in use and more cars waiting. Maybe it's…read morebecause they have lower gas prices than all the nearby stations?? Just a hunch. I've had problems here trying to get my credit card processed at the pump. I'd insert it, it would say, "Remove Card" immediately, followed by a chip read error message. I tried about half a dozen times on 2 separate pumps with no success. I finally asked the guy inside about it, and he came out and also tried my card several times before he could get it to accept my card. I guess that's a good reason to consider paying cash here... that and the price for paying by cash is 5 cents a gallon less as well.
