Much of the time the store is very crowded, there can be a long wait at checkout, and it is a pain to get to from the Albany/Colonie Center area. Still, the prices warrant the gas and even the toll for the Thruway. My suggestion for their developers would be to build another store in the area around Colonie Center/Northway Mall area, perhaps in the old Barnes and Nobles building. W here they are better at what they do is the selection of deli food and ready to eat grab and go. I always grab a breakfast sandwich or a slice or a burger when I'm on the way to or from work. The food is solid and flavorful. Never dried out or sitting too long. I'm quite sure they realize that this part of the store is important to on the go folks like me. And it shows. The breakfast sandwiches are the best thing they do by far. Eggs are cooked right. Bacon is flavorful and cooked right. But, the best part of these sandwiches is the roll it is on. Not sure if they do them in house or if they truck them in, but they are right on point. The biggest thing I have found about convenience store sandwiches is the rolls are typically overly chewy. These are not. Tasty and not chewy. Only thing I would recommend is for them to heat them a bit before they put them out. Sometimes they are absolutely cold when you open them in the car. I usually wait until I am home and pop them in the microwave for 20 or 30 seconds. Other than that, spot on. Had to review based on those breakfast sandwiches, but I'll tell you, I've never had a bad food item from here yet. Give them a try. I recommend it.

When we walked in, we noticed that the food bar was not totally open yet. Some of the food was out, but not all of it. My husband politely asked an employee who was placing food into the trays when it would all be ready. She literally looked at my husband like he was an idiot (not exaggerating) with epic double stink eyes and said.."Well I'm putting it out now!" He asked again when it would all be out because we wanted to come back. She curtly replied, "AS SOON AS I'M DONE!" It was so rude and an embarrassment for such a great place. By the way, an additional employee who was there actually laughed at us. Perhaps she needs a vacation or a lesson in civility? The stars are for the food, not the employees..

Having just come from Trader Joe's on Wolf Road, I noticed some profound differences including: --Really high prices at Whole Foods. For example, quality Lasagna I buy regularly at TJs is $7.99. A comparable Lasagna at WF was $13.99! Really? Same size. --Many aisles were blocked with very large carts used by staff for restocking. Traffic jams! See photo. --Stock is displayed on shelving that goes from floor level to about 10 plus feet high! You need to get someone with a picker tool to reach items on top shelves. It was uncomfortable to get the items practically on the floor on the lower shelves. Not accessible to those with back issues. See photo. --Fewer staff on floor available to answer questions. --One check out station. I had planned on getting some prepared food from the self serve food section, but at 11:20 am none of it was out on the steam table. Salad Bar was available, but did not interest me today.
