The individual who performed my teeth cleaning was excellent. She was thorough and extremely competent. Also, she took me early - well before the scheduled time for my appointment.. The sore back tooth on the upper right side concerns me although the soreness is not severe and only occurs sometimes when I brush that tooth. This reminds me of what occurred when I had a bacterial infection of the root of an upper tooth. Perhaps we could schedule an x-ray of that tooth's root at my December cleaning. I'm disgusted by the experience with Dr. Lantner, I'm still appalled by his disgusting hygiene practices and the poor skills that have caused me ongoing teeth pain. The crown dental work has been causing me terrible issues ever since. Food gets trapped between the crowns after every meal, despite brushing and flossing. I frequently experience inflamed, painful teeth. I was told this is because the shape of the new crowns doesn't fit well with my original teeth, causing gaps and curves in between. It's frustrating to think how long I'll have to live with this and will need to find a solution but I'm allowed to revisit because I requested a different dentist in his office for the recheck. The day of crown operation 2 months ago, I encountered a strong toilet-like smell from his gloves when he began the procedure in my mouth. I asked him to stop and politely requested that he change his gloves, which he did so and the toilet smell went away. The incident bothered me, so the next day, I requested another doctor for the revisit and explained why. This apparently "offended" Dr. Lantner, who then asked me not to return to his office, claiming the smell was caused by screws implanted previously. My research and a second opinion confirmed that this is highly unlikely unless there was significant inflammation. I visited the dentist who referred me to Lantner's office, and he confirmed there was no inflammation, but the toilet smell could be caused by the screws. Despite finding it hard to believe, I decided to let this slide at the moment but the poor dental work has been causing me issues ever since. read more

Full service dental office. Dr Lantner is an excellent dentist who cares about you and your teeth. He doesn't try to sell you things you don't need. There are wonderful hygienist in this office and you will most likely get the same one each visit. The office staff is great, always friendly. Dr Latner is a perfectionist and an honorable professional dentist. He took care of my father's broken bridge immediately with care when other dentists were trying to suggest outrageous ideas such as a couple implants etc. It just proves that many dentist will do the unnecessary to take advantage and also proves how honorable Dr Latner is. I love this dental office, the hygienists, and the dentists. Previously had a good dentist, who had a novel invention for patients, glasses that showed tv. I could watch something without having the glare of the light or to focus on the cleaning or other work. Here, the conversation and music are so great, that I find myself either having a good time or getting some valuable time to meditate on my goings on. If they make a super hero movie about a dentist, they need to base it on Dr. Lantner and his friendly and talented team. He has been my dentist for many years and is always there to gently and honestly care for any dental needs that might come up. At the end of 2020, my boyfriend had a painful broken temporary crown that had been poorly done at another dentist, and he needed dental advice. I reached out to Dr. Lantner, knowing it was Christmas Eve and that he wouldn't be in the office. After leaving a message, he got back to us in about five minutes!! We were so incredibly grateful to Dr. Lantner for caring about him, even though he wasn't his patient or anything. He simply cares about people. I had a chip in my tooth and needed patching up, and recently went in to have it fixed. He did a wonderful job in his friendly, detailed style. He and his whole team are simply the best. Margarita is the best hygienist I've ever seen. She's so unbelievably patient and kind and hands down the most gentle hygienist I've ever worked with. After not having a cleaning for about a year during Covid, I was very concerned about how my teeth and gums would do. I have very sensitive teeth and she took her time with me, checking in every so often to make sure I was doing okay and more. Her bedside manner (if that's a thing in dentistry) should be taught. I've been going to Dr. Lantner for over 15 years, ever since he was recommended when I first moved into Manhattan in the early 2000s. Even I briefly moved out of the city, I would time my dentist visits to his office to coincide with my visits back to New York during a three year break from Manhattan. When a tooth badly cracked and I called in a panic one late Friday night, and Dr. Lantner called me back personally from his cell phone and promised to get me in first thing the next day since I was set to travel for one month on Monday. One of the few patient and empathetic doctors left in the world. And, every member of his staff is a pleasure. I won't go anywhere else. read more
