I was very disappointed and a little embarrassed. The whole garden was in a state of neglect. There were leaves floating on the Koi Pond, which was the home of only two Koi. Furthermore there was algae growing in the pond which gave it the appearance of a swamp. The rest of the garden appeared neglected. There were no labels identifying the plants. Identifying plants is minimum expectation of a public garden. I would preferred a reference to their significance. At bare minimum the garden could have weeded and raked. I feel this garden was a disgrace to the city of Olympia and an insult to our Asian population

I accidentally booked a 16+ room, paying only attention to the FAQ page that said it is a great activity for all ages. I have done this before by accident, now I see it in all caps. I don't mean to be careless at all, nor inconvienance anyone. I booked a party for second graders. They were so nice. They flooded the clue gates and were gracious when one of the kids broke a prop . I was preparing for a confrontation or cold frot after we left, but they were warm and happy. We all were happy. This was one of the most sophisticated and impressive escape rooms we've seen. What a treasure for our beautiful city. And we got through, as the kids have said for the last night and day, with "5 seconds left on the clock". All seven elementary school girls were enthusiastic and rose to each challenge with intellect, humor and vigor. I can't impress upon you enough what a positive experience this was for my family. Thank you for the kindness, the creativity and the challenge. It is all I could ever want for a celebration of life.

Straddling Boston Harbor Road, the park has a bridge that connects both sides of the sprawling property. On the East side of the park, you immediately feel like you've driven into a forest. Big and old trees line the park roadway. Several picnic areas are available, I assume by reservation, at least for the covered areas. I found a restroom building and took advantage. This place is well maintained. More picnic areas. Nd two more restroom buildings are on the West side of the park, and so is the Sound. Lots more parking, and a kids playground. Squaxin has something for everyone. Lots of hiking paths on both sides of the park that are now on my to do list. Squaxin is an oasis in Olympia!

As I said, not usually busy, and has lots of space to sit down. They also serve food and drinks such as pizza, nachos, tator tots and more along with slushies and other drinks. The slushies are three dollars and usually have 2 flavors that you can mix if you want. Employees are nice and I don't really have anything bad to say. As more of my friends have crossed this age milestone, I've seen the full spectrum of responses: people who downplay it and later wish they'd done something special, people who throw huge parties and regret the stress and effort, and people who choose extreme adventures only to find the adrenaline crash leaves them feeling depleted afterward, bringing '50' home in a hard way. This struck exactly the right balance. It was special enough to feel like a true celebration, offered a once-in-a-lifetime experience, and created memories (and amazing photos) I'll carry with me for years. While it's certainly not inexpensive, once you see the amount of equipment, preparation, effort, infrastructure, expertise, and care that goes into each flight, the pricing feels more than reasonable. I found it to be a great deal. Miles showed up around and taught us a lot! He was very knowledgeable and patient. Everything is in very good shape. We got to try bouldering, auto belay, and top roping. Also got a tour of their gym, which includes a lot of climbing-specific equipment along with tradition gym equipment. The place is very spacious but there did seem to be a lot of families on the weekend, so a little crowded near the auto belay. Not a knock, just something to be aware of when timing your visits. They have a lot of events and theme nights too. It's just a really cool place, hoping I can build some muscles so I'm not so sore next time, and can come back soon!

That is an outrageous price for a local bowling alley, especially when the experience hasn't improved enough to justify it. If anything, it feels like we're paying more and getting less. I also hardly recognize the place anymore. Many of the employees I've known for years are gone, and those familiar faces were a big partof what made this feel like a local bowling center rather than just another business trying to squeeze as much money as possible out of its customers. I work hard for my money, and I'm certainly not going to throw it away on an experience that I no longer feel is worth the price. There are plenty of other ways I can spend $40 an hour. It's disappointing to see a place I once enjoyed supporting go in this direction. But at these prices and with the way things have changed, you've lost me as a customer.
