Called me by the wrong name all night MC failed to entertain guests, didn't get guests up and moving. Had "after the tone" phone in hallway, failed to promote it throughout night. Led to us not having everyone's audio footage due to them not knowing. Provided song list for DJ of songs to play/not play. Didn't follow. Lost the paper, MOH had to scramble to find it behind the DJ booth. Just really disappointing and looking back on it.. I should have complained a lot more. It kinda feels as if we weren't officially married/didn't have a good wedding.

He kept us informed during the day and made sure to ask the necessary questions without ever being intrusive. My sister's maid of honor speech was delayed because she couldn't find the paper with the speech. She was embarrassed and panicked, but Matt covered for her by apologizing for mic problems. It was a small detail, but it's something for which my sister was so grateful. The music was perfect for a wedding and they honored all of my requests when appropriate. He started the reception with some classic oldies that got guests of all ages dancing, then made sure that the dance floor was never empty by playing some awesome hits that my guests went crazy for. I never left the dance floor because I was having so much fun. People were coming up to me and my husband all day telling us what an amazing DJ we had. We're still getting calls a few days after because people just had a blast and I can't thank Rhythm in Motion enough for that.

So when I got engaged last year, I found out the name of her DJ and gave him a call. My husband and I had very specific, kooky music requests and Spencer abided by them all and NAILED every single thing we wanted. He was super responsive and accessible. He didn't even charge us a travel fee to get to our Long Island venue. Our guests never left the dance floor and haven't stopped commenting on how fantastic the entertainment was - we used their photo booth too and it was a huge hit. Our venue offered an all inclusive DJ, Photography/Videography package. We decided to take advantage of this because we trusted our venue and heard so many great stories of other brides and grooms enjoying their wedding and receptions. Unfortunately we were not one of them. From the very begining dealing with them was a hassle. I was only able to speak to anyone in regards to our wedding on Thursdays after 5pm. I never understood this. That alone was a red flag, I blame myself. On the day of, both the DJ and MC seemed to be completely clueless on how to work the crowd as far as what to play and how to get the people up and on the dance floor. Most of the time our guests were just sitting looking bored. The DJ absolutely RUINED the choreographed dance I did with my parents by messing up the music mid way. We literally had to turn around and tell him to put our music back on. Then he cut short the choreographed dance my husband and I did with our children. He didn't blend it or anything, just abruptly cut it off while we were still dancing. The genre of music we asked to be played for the ceremony prelude and dinner were not played. I didn't dare ask what was played during cocktail hour, but I'm sure that was wrong too. A few spanish songs were played and the MC asked for all the "Hispanics in the room" to get on the dance floor. I was mortified! A few of our guests were offended by this, others let it go. People started leaving like 2 hours early. I even wanted to leave but of course I had to stay and keep smiling even though i wanted to cry and run away. All of our guests have made comments saying our wedding was beautiful but the DJ sucked. My husband and I are so embarrassed by this. We didn't even get an apology at the end of the evening.
