I've been a patient of Dr. Streelman's for a couple of years, but my most recent experience was enough for me to move on. At a prior visit, I had a crown that came loose more than once. I was surprised to be charged each time just to have it re-cemented, but at the time I didn't question it. Recently, an old filling failed, and based on my prior experience, I scheduled an appointment expecting to have a crown done. I arrived early, as usual, and was seated quickly--but then waited about 15 minutes before seeing the doctor. After a brief exam, I was told I needed a crown--which is exactly why I had scheduled the visit. After another wait, I was presented with an estimate of $2,300 (my last one here was ~$1,800 a couple years ago, so I understand pricing has gone up). I agreed to proceed. That's when I was told they didn't have time to do the procedure and I would need to come back and reschedule. This was frustrating. I had scheduled the appointment specifically for this work, arrived early, and still left without anything being done. What really pushed it over the edge was being charged for the consultation on the way out. I've since found a new dentist with a much more efficient setup--same-day crowns, lower cost, and a more professional patient experience overall. Please get another hygienist besides the 2 you have. If one goes on vacation, the office should provide a sub hygienist so no one gets behind on their cleanings. This was done before the office moved. Dr. Streelman's office is 5 months past due on keeping cleanings on schedule. Because of this laspse, I now recieve one less cleaning a year. Today was my first visit to Dr. Streelman's office. Unfortunately, I have issues with the dentist due to an experience in Iraq. I've had issues ever since and today was the best experience I've ever had in the dentist's office. Dr. Streelman answered all my questions and gave me options and recommendations where some offices only give the option that benefits them financially. VA insurance is accepted, I had a hard time finding an office that accepted VA coverage. I have one office tell me the VA pay below the standard rate. The office is very clean and comfortable. There is monitor about the patients seat that the dentist reviewed with me and showed me any areas of concern. The monitor is large enough to make the images extremely easy to see. We have found that they have taken a personal interest in our dental care that is far greater than any of our prior dentists. This is definitely one of the best dentist offices I have ever been to! I needed a new dentist and I was not looking forward to looking, but everyone is this office made it clear that they're the ones for me! They're so kind, fun and helpful. They answered every question I had with ease and made me feel super comfortable whether I was at the front desk or in the chair. As I was disappointed in my current provider and Dr. Streelman had good reviews, I figured I'd give him a go. 1st off, the front office staff was friendly, courteous, and professional. I am a very inquisitive and detailed individual with a lot of questions. Don't be fooled by the numerous 5 star reviews. They incentivize people to give them Yelp reviews for free whitening sessions and a gift card raffle. They even have advertisements for it when you're in the office. Okay first of all, everyone was nice. The hygienist was good. They try to get to know you. Whatever. I thought they would be my new dental clinic. However, they are wolves in sheep's clothing. Dr Streelman's office was an in network provider for me and I came for a routine dental cleaning. They also took X-rays, which is also pretty routine during a dental visit, right? This type of visit is considered preventative. I have great teeth and I go the dentist biannually as recommended. This is the first time I have ever had to pay a deductible for a routine dental visit. Why? Because this office is crooked and they decided to do my routine X rays piecemeal and billed three different insurance codes, two of which triggered my deductible. My prior dentist would do the routine complete set of X rays which was 100% covered by my insurance. I'm a new patient, why would you not do a complete set of X rays and only do X rays of this and that? It makes zero sense. They did that so they could bill my insurance for more codes instead of just one code. Unacceptable and fraudulent. read more

I have been through a dental ordeal, and Dr. Streelman pulled me out of the muck and fixed my teeth! I've been in Vista 4 years, and for those years I'd been relatively happy with my downtown Vista dentist. But then something major happened, and I needed implants and a bridge. Very long story short, the bridge I got was awful and Dr. Streelman fixed it. He had to grind the old bridge out of my mouth, take the impression for the new one, and meet my lengthy list of criteria (mostly make it everything the first bridge wasn't.) Dr. Streelman was put to the test to fix another's mistake and he rose to the occasion. He called me the next day after both of my appointments to make sure I was feeling well, and happy with my results. Their office is great, he's warm, friendly and professional.
