Instead of answering, she looked at me in a condescending way and asked, "Do you need an interpreter?" Instead of answers, I was asked if I needed a "translator"--after speaking English the entire time. That was disrespectful. And it told me my questions were not welcome. So I got a second opinion. Very disappointed with this dental office. We had an appointment and still ended up waiting for over 2 hrs in the lobby with no communication. When I finally addressed the issue, the staff member who originally checked us in was completely unprofessional & showed zero sympathy- no apology no nothing. She just okay "okay" took the iPad and walked away. The only person who tried to help was another staff member who stepped in & did her best to get my daughter seen as soon I addressed the issue. Management needs to train their staff better in communication, customer service, and showing genuine concern when an issue on their part occurs. I don't really recommend this place. My child goes to My Kids Dental in Vista, and the staff at the front are the sweetest. The assistants who actually work on my child's teeth are also very kind. However, I came here for an extraction for my child, and while the front staff were super sweet, Noah (or whatever his name is) was very bland and rude. If you're going to work around children, you should at least be welcoming and have a smile present a more warm environment. There was no warm or comforting vibe at all. My daughter had teeth extracted and was obviously distraught and crying afterward. He immediately kicked me out of the room after the procedure instead of allowing me to sit and calm her down. I think if you are working with children, you should be more inviting and compassionate. This dentist just doesn't give that. I highly recommend going somewhere else. We've been coming to this practice for two years, but this visit was a struggle. My son was really anxious about the dentist--to the point where I wasn't sure he'd even walk into the exam room. We were so lucky to have Jenny (Jennifer) as our hygienist today. She was incredibly patient and knew exactly how to handle his nerves. Where to begin... I had began coming here last year as my kids had a rough experience at a different office. I was a bit nervous about bringing them in at first because of the other office but nevertheless I brought them here and no regrets at all. My office experience was great and above my expectations super helpful and the employees are very knowledgeable about procedures, treatments and routines. Today my three kids had a routine checkup and Cassandra was super friendly and very understanding with my kids and made them feel safe and made the visit fun. My oldest having Autism there are times where she can be difficult but she made her really comfortable and accommodated to her needs which I appreciated so much. The WORSE!!! For starters you wait for over 30 minutes to be called. Took my son on Monday for a cleaning, the worse cleaning he's ever had! Was told he had 4 cavities and needed 1 crown. They said my son needed 7 sealants, I was charged $175 for sealants. I decided to seek a second opinion, especially known for their reputation of adding work that is not needed. Thursday I went in for a second opinion at a different Dentist. Well he did not need a crown and had 3 cavities. I was also made aware that I shouldn't have be charged for sealants because it is fully covered by his insurance. This is frustrating!!! My 3 year old has been going there since she was 2 and today she got her first X-rays and dental cleaning and Cassie was wonderful. I took him to a new dentist due to their wait times at your appointment being over an hour and new dentist told us he had glue still from the braces on his teeth. called the manager and they tried to downplay my concern. "that doesn't happen" well I took him in and proved it did happen. Asked for a resolution and Taylor said "we took care of it." they are doing fraud billing due to failed services at cleanings and exams. The waiting area is inviting for kids, keeps them entertained and forget that they are at a dentist office. The wait is a bit long to get seen but I didn't mind since my kids had the opportunity to run around playing and drawing while waiting. The attention that the dental assistant gave my kids during the cleaning was very appreciated. The entire staff was cheerful and very courteous. Majority of the staff spoke English and Spanish. They severely overcharged us for an annual tooth exam for our two year old. We took our two year old in to The Super Dentists for her first visit. The exam is fully covered by our Aetna plan. However, we received a bill for $111 from the Super Dentists. We contacted Aetna and they told us this facility overcharged us as Aetna will only cover up to a certain amount. Aetna told us these dentists are not supposed to do that. They charged a $80 dollar fluoride fee, a documentation fee $46- which is to keep your file on hand ... which is odd since they have no physical files - it's all digital. Costs on the information superhighway are up?? They overcharged what they and Aetna agreed would be covered so they could make a $111 ... this dental office is worse than a shady auto mechanics shop in my opinion... I'm not sure where else to go, but unless you have government assistance where all of your care is covered don't go here with any sort of premium insurance program - or they will up charge you just to milk more dinero out of you. read more

This place went down hill since it opened, the quality of care, hospitality and honoring appointments is neglected entirely. This is not mentioning how FILTHY this establishment is. We drove 2 hours to our scheduled appointment made 1 month and 2 weeks prior. Just to arrive ON TIME @10 and be texted at 9:58 am they are having patients wait 45 MN to 1 HR additional because they were delayed by a staff member who decided to call out LAST MINUTE. (Employee should be fired.) To express dissatisfaction is an understatement. My husband is active military and had to request 2 hrs in-between the work day to attend this appointment since we have a baby and one parent has to be with our child whom had the appointment. They don't compensate for gas since it is the LEAST they could do for waisting our time, gas, and lack of professionalism. Laura Flores the gm only offered to waive a $25 fee for the scheduled procedure. Ugh lmfao? That helps our family in NOTHING. We were also not the only family who walked out and are choosing to seek a better dental office. I had originally came back to this office because of the care they provided when they first opened. However, my first attempt to become a patient again led with a failure of staff and training, management apologized and I enrolled my child and gave them a shot. The appointment was mediocre and the chair was FILTHY and ripped. There was grime and probably patient fluids on the walls and baseboards from the lack of cleanliness. This is our second appointment and it led to complete failure! All they offered was a simple "I'm sorry and that's all we can do." As if that in any way is going to help the gas we just spent on 2 vehicles, the time, the loss of attending school, and the simple peace of mind. DO NOT COME TO THIS PLACE unless you wish to be made upset, want to waste gas, want to waste time out of your busy day, and have your children be upset because of the wait. Oh and not be warned in a timely manner by the type of personal they have chosen to work here. Most of the visits we've had, had been traumatizing for my son and I. It always ended in tears and fear. I feel like the quality of care has went down significantly at the Oceanside office. We've been coming for almost 12 years and I feel like you guys are more concerned with the quantity of patients you can jam into your office VS the quality of care your patients receive. We've had to leave twice in the last year before we've received treatment due to extreamly long wait times and my kids getting so anxious sitting there for hours waiting also several times before this year as well there have been issues. This very last time we waited in the waiting room for almost an hour and when I asked the front they said they could get us into a room, but it would be a while and an extended wait time for treatment once in a room as well, so we had to leave without treatment once again. I did notice the reviews are stating the same thing so I know I'm not the only one. These are small children and you guys specializing in the treatment of children should realize their attention span and ability to wait is far less then ours would be. I also agree with the reviews stating you guys are scamming us as last time I went in and signed the paperwork they didn't explain anything just said "ok your out of pocket is 150 dollars" when I asked why doesn't my insurance cover it they said no she needs this that and the other I think it was sealants and some toothbrush package. I said well isnt that optional and the lady said "well she needs it but let me see if I can take it off". That is extreamly shady and unprofessional.
