We had a wonderful experience with Paul at The Super Dentists. He performed two procedures on my 10yo daughter and was incredibly kind, patient, and reassuring throughout the entire appointment. I had many questions, and he took the time to answer every single one without making us feel rushed. The appointment was a long one and it was right before closing time, at the end of a busy workday, but Paul and the team continued to be professional, caring, and attentive. I truly appreciate the patience and compassion he showed my daughter. It made a stressful dental visit so much easier for both of us. Thank you, Paul, for taking such great care of her! read more

As a father, I feel the need to share our experience. My wife took our 5-year-old in for a routine visit, and within minutes, the dentist recommended multiple serious procedures, including two root canals and several fillings. That immediately didn't sit right. When my wife asked simple, reasonable questions, she felt dismissed and was even asked if she needed a translator, despite speaking English the entire time. That came across as disrespectful and made it clear her concerns weren't being taken seriously. We got a second opinion, and another dentist told us that level of treatment is highly unusual for a child this age. That was a huge red flag. Some staff were kind, but the long wait and overall experience were disappointing. Parents -- trust your instincts, ask questions, and don't hesitate to get a second opinion when something feels off. read more

It is okay to earn money. We all need to make a living. But at what cost does morality get lost? At what point does making money come at the expense of a child's pain? This was my experience with Dentist Xu. My daughter is five years old, and I was told she needed two root canals and treatment for six cavities after the dentist spent only a few seconds reviewing her X-rays. As a mother, that raised serious concerns so I asked simple, reasonable questions: Where are the cavities? How severe are they? Why would a child this young need such invasive procedures? Instead of answering, she looked at me in a condescending way and asked, "Do you need an interpreter?" Instead of answers, I was asked if I needed a "translator"--after speaking English the entire time. That was disrespectful. And it told me my questions were not welcome. So I got a second opinion. Another dentist reviewed everything and said he has never seen a 5-year-old need two root canals--not even in extreme cases. That's not a small difference. That's a serious red flag. That is extremely concerning. When a provider recommends serious procedures so quickly, without proper explanation, and dismisses a parent for asking questions, it creates a situation that can put children--especially vulnerable ones--at risk of unnecessary treatment. Parents--trust your instincts. Ask questions. Get a second opinion. Every other staff member I encountered was kind and respectful. Unfortunately, my experience with the dentist herself was the opposite. Also, despite arriving slightly late due to an emergency at home, waiting nearly two hours is excessive. Parents should never feel intimidated for asking questions. We have a responsibility to protect our children. So I'll say this clearly: If something doesn't feel right, trust your instincts. Ask questions. Get a second opinion. Because when it comes to your child, staying silent is not an option. read more

The Super Dentists - Daughter playing in the waiting room - Orthodontists Near Me - Oceanside, California

I have changed my mind with the Super Dentists. After trying other pediatric dentists, I learned that the Super dentists were actually much better. Three of my children still go there. My son that used to have issues there when he was seven is now 15 and he is able to go in and get his dental work done. I apologize for the first review, but that was how I felt at the time. We have overcome a lot since then. I've also learned that my son is on the spectrum and has specialized needs, which is why he used to have a difficult time at the dentist. Thank you Super Dentists! read more

Never once did I ever have problems with my teeth until I started going to this specific dentist ever since then I've had problems after problems, especially from procedures they said I needed, but I probably didn't. And when I go for follow ups on the problems they created on my teeth. They basically just say they can't do anything about it. every single time I go here they ruined my teeth even more giving me lifelong permanent, issues to deal with because of them. And they always have some absurd Diagnosis, or whatever. I don't know if it's just a tactic to keep making money, but I take really good care of my teeth and no issues until I started going to this dentist. The orthodontic side is better , but the dentistry side is horrible. I would not recommend taking your kids here if you want your kids to have early issues with their teeth. read more

Very disappointed with this dental office. We had an appointment and still ended up waiting for over 2 hrs in the lobby with no communication. When I finally addressed the issue, the staff member who originally checked us in was completely unprofessional & showed zero sympathy- no apology no nothing. She just okay "okay" took the iPad and walked away. The only person who tried to help was another staff member who stepped in & did her best to get my daughter seen as soon I addressed the issue. Management needs to train their staff better in communication, customer service, and showing genuine concern when an issue on their part occurs. Families deserve to be treated with respect. read more

Super dentist tried to upsell procedures that aren't needed. Gimmick! I've taken my son here twice for 8am appointments and wasn't seen until 8:45am. We were either the first ones in the door or close to it. So frustrating that they would have patients show up at 8am, knowing they will not be ready to see patients at that time. Such a disregard for people's time. Unprofessional and disrespectful. They just want your money and will do unneeded work on your kiddo to get it. read more

We brought our son here for his very first dentist appointment. The office itself was clean and nice, but we quickly felt like they were trying to upsell us on unnecessary services. That was enough for us to decide not to return. Unfortunately, it didn't stop there. The office kept putting us on the schedule for follow-up appointments we never made, and I had to contact them multiple times to cancel. Even after being assured we'd be removed from their email list, I still get gimmicky marketing emails almost daily. Overall, I would strongly recommend avoiding this place. It feels more like a scam than a dental practice. read more

I do not recommend The Super Dentist for anyone with a child who requires special accommodations. They are not reliable, consistent, or well managed (at least at the Oceanside office.) We have not been able to receive treatment for the past two visits due to their hour and a half wait. This review doesn't apply to their orthodontics department. They have been fantastic. read more

We've been coming to this practice for two years, but this visit was a struggle. My son was really anxious about the dentist--to the point where I wasn't sure he'd even walk into the exam room. We were so lucky to have Jenny (Jennifer) as our hygienist today. She was incredibly patient and knew exactly how to handle his nerves. She turned the whole experience around, and he actually got all his dental work done! Huge thank you to Jenny for being so kind and making this such a positive visit. read more

I don't really recommend this place. My child goes to My Kids Dental in Vista, and the staff at the front are the sweetest. The assistants who actually work on my child's teeth are also very kind. However, I came here for an extraction for my child, and while the front staff were super sweet, Noah (or whatever his name is) was very bland and rude. If you're going to work around children, you should at least be welcoming and have a smile present a more warm environment. There was no warm or comforting vibe at all. My daughter had teeth extracted and was obviously distraught and crying afterward. He immediately kicked me out of the room after the procedure instead of allowing me to sit and calm her down. I think if you are working with children, you should be more inviting and compassionate. This dentist just doesn't give that. I highly recommend going somewhere else. Don't get sucked in by the nice theme and decor like I did. Please go elsewhere. March 9th 2026 read more

Where to begin... I had began coming here last year as my kids had a rough experience at a different office. I was a bit nervous about bringing them in at first because of the other office but nevertheless I brought them here and no regrets at all. My office experience was great and above my expectations super helpful and the employees are very knowledgeable about procedures, treatments and routines. Today my three kids had a routine checkup and Cassandra was super friendly and very understanding with my kids and made them feel safe and made the visit fun. My oldest having Autism there are times where she can be difficult but she made her really comfortable and accommodated to her needs which I appreciated so much. Overall best dentist office out here, 10/10 recommend bringing your kids here. read more

I don't recommend coming here they put sealant on my 9 year olds 4 teeth charging me $150. I know I asked if that was covered by my insurance be cautious at the beginning the ladies in the back will have you sign something before your kids can be seen that's you agreeing to whatever amount of money they can scam from your insurance then you have to pay the remaining balance. The choice of words when working on my sons teeth were he NEEDs to get the Sealant now after I called and complained then they say we recommended he get sealant no they did not, I hate liars BEWARE!!! read more

The people. GREAT! I waited for 40 minutes before they came and talked to about my insurance being out of state and needing to be verified. Be very careful if you go here. I wouldn't recommend. I originally took my daughter here to get a cavity filled, a few months later she came back for a cleaning and they told me she has multiple cavities and wanted to give her several crowns. She never had issues before so I was very cautious and decided to get a second opinion, the second place I took her couldn't find a cavity at all! This place would have performed unnecessary medical treatments on healthy teeth had I followed their advice. Be careful read more

The WORSE!!! For starters you wait for over 30 minutes to be called. Took my son on Monday for a cleaning, the worse cleaning he's ever had! Was told he had 4 cavities and needed 1 crown. They said my son needed 7 sealants, I was charged $175 for sealants. I decided to seek a second opinion, especially known for their reputation of adding work that is not needed. Thursday I went in for a second opinion at a different Dentist. Well he did not need a crown and had 3 cavities. I was also made aware that I shouldn't have be charged for sealants because it is fully covered by his insurance. This is frustrating!!! I'm not the only one I'm sure, they send text messages with promotions for sealants when most insurance covers it. I will not take my son to Super Dentist. read more

Cassie is amazing. She is one of the dental assistants and I can not thank her enough. My 3 year old has been going there since she was 2 and today she got her first X-rays and dental cleaning and Cassie was wonderful. Today I took my son to pick up his new retainer and was very happy with how much time and attention the orthodontist gave him. The Dr. was very attentive and took great care in doing so. Kudos to him! read more

The dentist is already a scary place for kids. My daughter was dreading going and then we got the most awful hygienist-she was so rude and insensitive. I told her it was only my daughter's second time at the dentist. She was lazy and was cleaning my daughter's mouth with one hand? Very snappy and then pulled my daughter's bottom lip like that was going to make her open her mouth wider? After she did that i said she needed to get us someone else. I think they said her name was Cesia, but could be wrong. They said they would put on file not to have that lady help us again but we won't be going to that location at all for future appointments. The lady we got after was super sweet but i didn't catch her name. My daughter said "why are they called the Super Dentist if they have mean people working here?" It is because of people like that nasty lady that make kids NOT want to go to the dentist. read more

TRASH! son had braces there taken off in 2022- since then routine exams and cleanings. I took him to a new dentist due to their wait times at your appointment being over an hour and new dentist told us he had glue still from the braces on his teeth. called the manager and they tried to downplay my concern. "that doesn't happen" well I took him in and proved it did happen. Asked for a resolution and Taylor said "we took care of it." they are doing fraud billing due to failed services at cleanings and exams. Malpractice. overpriced braces and can't even do the services accurately. Avoid this office. you'll waste so much time there and unneccessary procedures on your children. read more

They severely overcharged us for an annual tooth exam for our two year old. We took our two year old in to The Super Dentists for her first visit. The exam is fully covered by our Aetna plan. However, we received a bill for $111 from the Super Dentists. We contacted Aetna and they told us this facility overcharged us as Aetna will only cover up to a certain amount. Aetna told us these dentists are not supposed to do that. They charged a $80 dollar fluoride fee, a documentation fee $46- which is to keep your file on hand ... which is odd since they have no physical files - it's all digital. Costs on the information superhighway are up?? They overcharged what they and Aetna agreed would be covered so they could make a $111 ... this dental office is worse than a shady auto mechanics shop in my opinion... I'm not sure where else to go, but unless you have government assistance where all of your care is covered don't go here with any sort of premium insurance program - or they will up charge you just to milk more dinero out of you. read more
