Staff are amazing! Beginning with my call to set up an appointment-excellent customer service-unhurried, kind, professional Office is immaculate, warm, open and comforting. Dr Allen is knowledgeable and provided me with education and care about my teeth. Gentleness beyond words. I am horribly uncomfortable with any dentist. This one-Dr Allen is someone I highly recommend and would return to if needed without any fear or concerns. read more

Hubby is a former dental hygienist so needed to scope out places for braces or Invisalign (they offer both). He approved so I was encouraged. Located at a newer area off Rancho del oro. They have great bedside manner and service. Decor is beautiful. Received a consultation and I unexpectedly got bottom teeth braces same day. I felt confident with the options offered to me. I came in fully thinking I would get Invisalign and walked out w bottom braces instead. I was given the pros and cons of each, and felt it was the better option for me since Invisalign is more maintenance. Was surprised and also appreciative, they weren't pushing the more expensive option. Made me think they were caring about what I wanted and what would work best for me. Service was great. They really knew their stuff. I had a difficult time understanding the jargon at times, but felt comfortable to ask for more clarification, read more

My daughter got her braces the same day I called to make an appointment. Very efficient for new patients. But when my daughters braces broke they were not helpful or flexible with getting them fixed. Took two weeks for them to fix something that took five minutes. Staff and Dr are rather quiet, but nice. Would love to see more genuine care and interest for patients. Facility was beautiful and clean. read more

Bad service they completely forgot about my kids braces never called to check up or anything. They should've had their braces off three months before they actually got them off. read more

Allen Orthodontics is THE place to get your ortho care. I was met with kindness and efficiency throughout my whole journey with them. Every appointment felt simple and enjoyable. The staff were always so welcoming and accommodating as well. Not only that, but the layout and aesthetic of the place is top notch as you get that modern yet comforting, beachy feel whenever you walk through the doors. 1000/10 would recommend! read more

Great experience and great prices for braces! I arrived early for my first appointment, and they brought me in right away, no waiting. Same thing the second time when I came in to change my band colors. The checkups have been quick, smooth, and professional. I'm really looking forward to my next visits! read more

Unprofessional and lacking customer service! I order my retainers in April (paid for) and walked in to pick up the retainers per a text notification in May only to be told that they were not ready and I would receive a call when they arrived. It is now June and I have emailed them with no response and when I called they told me they were there ready for pick up since May. Customer service lacks and they made me feel so unwelcome, do not recommend!!! There are more inexpensive places with great customer service AVOID this one! read more

I usually never leave reviews, but considering I have 5-6 years of experience in orthodontics I had to...At first I was happy with the treatment and chair side manner of this practice. About 1/2 through my treatment things started falling apart. From poor communication, to lack of progress with my treatment( was told I would be done in 6months), after almost a year I gave up , no movement was happening, always having to get progress scans done ( and another 4 week wait for new trays. I let them know from the very beginning im a hard grinder/bruxer and wear through the trays after 2 weeks of wear. After being extremely frustrated with going through 6 weeks of trays and no progress/movement what so ever, I had a follow up appt for last polishing touches and.... another failed communication from the front office that the Dr. ( Dr. Allen isnt in office) but that an associate of his is helping out for the week. The second to last nail in the coffin, at my supposedly last visit I was supposed to have finishing details ( top four teeth trimmed and polished) the associate refused to do it, said he would be uncomfortable with doing it considering id be at the end of my treatment. The final nail in the coffin was being told I would have a replacement set of trays ready for me at the end of the same week and would get called to get them when they were ready, and that the practice manager would reach out to me and coordinate with Dr. allen to fit me in after office hours to get scanned for an orthotic appliance. Still have yet to be contacted or followed up with. Very disappointed in the lack of communication, service. Its an even bigger disappointment that im still having to make monthly payments towards a treatment that will never be finished with a smile im not happy with. read more

Poor communication skills, I requested my files to be sent over to a different treatment center across country and a month later they still have yet to send it. Anyone who has braces/works with braces knows that a month plus delay of treatment/ work can severely damage any progress made. Im severely disappointed and discourage anyone who cannot go physically in person and watch them send a simple email to request treatment here. I've called 3 separate times and visited twice in person before moving across country, there is no acceptable excuse. read more

The office is conveniently located on Oceanside Blvd. The parking in front of the office is abundant and never an issue. The office staff is pleasant and professional. We opted for gold braces for the bottom teeth, invisalign on the top teeth, and a lifetime retainer. The cost for all that was very competitive with other estimates. However, Allen orthodontics came highly recommended by a family friend so that's how we decided on the office. We were surprised how fast her teeth moved and straightened. The down side it that they are a very busy dental office. Once you make an appointment if for some reason you have to cancel or reschedule it is going to take a while to get back on the calendar. To their credit, they do try and work with you to find something sooner its just not always possible. My niece ended up moving out of state prior to her treatments being competed. They sent over the required paperwork promptly. Overall, I think Dr. Allens Orthodontics is a top-rated. The only improvement would be improving on the ability to accommodate patients that need to reschedule. read more

Allen Orthodontics is great. Myself and my two kids have gone there and we've always had great service. Recently, Jillian has taken such good care of me. I ask for her exclusively and I appreciate they honor that. She is first class all the way! read more

Transparency is key to me. Honesty goes a long ways also . The people here are so nice, and the price for braces is awesome. They are very up front about their treatment plan and their costs . Great place read more

I just finished my treatment as an adult patient. I paid upfront for invisalign but ended up doing braces on my bottom teeth because the trays were painful due to how crooked my bottom teeth were. The staff is friendly for the most part. The price was cheap compared to other places. I knocked off a few stars because I didn't care for the orthodontist. He maybe said two words to me throughout my entire treatment. Never said hi, how was I, never discussed my progress or treatment plan. Genuinely seemed disinterested in patient engagement. I didn't even know I was getting my braces off until I overheard him make a side comment to the aide to take them off, and then he walked away ‍ My teeth are not as perfectly straight as I'd hoped-for, but they're exponentially better than they were. Overall, still worth it. read more

Allen Orthodontics has the best service I've seen in a dental office. Easy to accommodate appointments and little wait time. Detailed attention to fixing my teeth perfectly. i am pleased with the results. It has been about three years since I received the work and my retainers cracked on the side. Allen Orthodontics immediately found my molds and mailed me new retainers when I couldn't get to their office. Extremely friendly staff and top notch orthodontist. I highly recommend. read more

Consistently Kind & Helpful Staff So today I called the finance line with Allen Orthodontics (I am working on getting better with this whole ACH thing lol ) and spoke with Holly. And it seriously is SO NICE to go to any business, but especially an orthodontics and to be helped so quickly. There was NO wait on hold, Holly answered so kindly and helped us get our payment squared away with no hiccups. I appreciate that it didn't take long at all, I could hear a smile through the phone. My neighbor had gotten "Adult braces" and I was poking fun at her. The positive, she lost weight! I was joking saying I was going to have to get some as my new weight loss plan. Little did I know I would visit my dentist a week later only to be told I needed, you got it, BRACES! Ok, I could deal with this... with Invisalign in mind I checked into Dr Allen's office only to be told, after examination, I was not a candidate for Invisalign. Ugh! So, the adventure(and the weight loss plan) begins. Oct 32st, Halloween day I decided to start my "weight loss program" & have the braces placed to help me avoid the inevitable gorging on Halloween Candy! The office staff could not be more attentive, the atmosphere is kid friendly as expected, I never once felt odd for being an ADULT needing braces. The financial plan worked for me as well. I'm. Or on my 4th wire change. The first two changes took done getting use to and were quite painful. It's more of a gross inconvenience now. Appointments are easy to make, changes as well. I already see the change in the alignment of my teeth. I would recommend this orthodontist to others because it takes a great team to make a physician great. I should know, I'm married to one & I'm an RN! Smile read more

Allen Orthodontics - Gotta love a doc that gives you fresh hot cookies as you're exiting his office! Kinda like going to the bank & getting a sucker - Orthodontists Near Me - Oceanside, California

When I first started going to Allen Orthodontics, I was about 12 years old. I had a fantastic experience and I remember always being excited for appointments. My mom also went through the brace treatment and then once my younger sister lost her baby teeth, she started treatment as well. Again, great experience for all 3 of us. Fast forward about 6/7 years, I went in as an adult to get braces again to correct my bite. During my consultation, I met with Alicia, again. This time around she was so extremely rude, made comments that I wouldn't be able to pay for the treatment , and wouldn't even offer to set up the next appointment to get the braces put on. Through the entire duration of my treatment, she would give me the dirtiest looks and all around made me so uncomfortable. After just a few months, I couldn't deal with the issues at Dr. Allen's office, I made an appointment to get my braces off before I was supposed to. Once I got them off, I was so relieved so never have to deal with these people ever again. Yet another issue sprung. They offer a one time price to pay for lifetime retainers. Not once did they mention this nor add it onto the treatment plan. When my mom and sister got their braces off, this plan was added onto the payment plan at the beginning of the treatment so I was very confused as to why it wasn't added on for me. I ended up having to pay the few hundred dollars in full to receive the lifetime retainer option. Since then, management never called me back to go over the way I was treated. They completely blew me off and that was it. After my family has spent over 10 grand there and referred everyone we know, it is a giant slap in the face to get treated this horribly. I would stay away and find an office that values you as a human! read more

After having an unfortunate experience at my prior orthodontic office I came to Allan orthodontics and let me tell you! This is by far one of the best offices I have been to. There office is clean and modern with what I believe is the latest tech. Their customer service is absolutely amazing. They return your calls in a timely manner as well. They offer appointment reminders via text, which is extremely convenient. Their staff is well trained and they answer any and all of your questions regarding your treatment with no miscommunications. Everything is said and written out to you in a way you will understand. The best part? They are affordable! They work with you and your insurance and offer payment plans as well. No hidden fees! 10/10 highly recommend! read more

First time for a consult to get this grill straight. Everyone up front was very nice and welcoming. I arrived early but still I was in and out. The X-ray portion was quick and efficient! No more gagging on stuff to get an X-ray done. Prices were very reasonable and that's with or without Ins. The person who helped me was very nice and pleasant! - I didn't get her name :( But other than that... anxiously waiting to get started! Def recommend! read more

I am super hesitant when it comes to any kind of dental work for myself and kids. Especially for my special needs child. This office was extremely kind, understanding and most importantly patient with my special needs kiddo. The staff took the time to explain everything to myself and my child and answered all our questions. They are very gentle when doing exams and/ or procedures. I love how their office smells like fresh baked cookies when I go in. What a treat! =) read more

Super bummed to write this review but feel like at this point I have to. My son went to Allen orthodontics for about 18 months back in 2015/2016 and we absolutely loved them! They did as much as they could for him to get the braces off as soon as possible, the orthodontist took all the kids to the movies once a year he would buy out the theater it was a real treat, they would accommodate rescheduled appts. In a timely manner. I recommended them To a bunch of my friends. Oh boy has this place changed! Seems to be more corporate and not personalized, we moved to Fallbrook and I insisted on coming here over 30 mins away because we loved it the first time with our son. Now my daughter is going here and it hasn't been the same great experience. If you try to reschedule an appt last minute for any reason illness or whatever, they offer you the next one two months away and most of these appts are ten mins long. There's no special exceptions made, which in turn adds two months to your treatment plan. It's a two year commitment regardless of what your teeth need, they do nothing to get you out of your braces early, they have it set up every two months no matter what the treatment plan is, I'm assuming to move as many in and out as possible not customized to their individual patients. They moved offices and office is nicer but the overall experience is not. It's colder more corporate and not the good experience we had with our son. If I could do all over again I would go somewhere closer to home, where we the patient mattered and weren't just a number. read more

I am both pleasantly surprised and very impressed with Allen Orthodontics. I stopped in to inquire about replacing a broken lower permanent retainer and was met by the most courteous, friendly, accommodating staff who offered me a next-day appointment. They're friendly, but they're just too busy - you can't get an appointment! They scheduled my son's appt. 10 weeks out. A family emergency came up and I called a week before his next appt. to reschedule and they can't see him for another 8 weeks! That means they will not have seen him for 18 WEEKS, yet they continue to bill us monthly! What exactly are we paying for? I realize every case is different and he may not need adjustments as often as others (my other son was every 3-4 weeks at different orthodontist), but 18 weeks between appointments is unacceptable. read more

My dentist recommended this place, and it couldn't have been more convenient! I got a great vibe the second I pulled up and saw the beautiful living wall right in front where I parked. After entering my wait was short and the front desk girls (one named Kendra who I just clicked with right away) were easy to talk to, very personable and fun as well as professional. I was taken to get pictures and the technician was great. She was also easy to talk to and had a great personality. I was then told that they COULD put braces on me that day!!! I was so excited! I'm 38 years old and I have known I needed braces for a long time. No better time than now while I'm going nowhere and any place I do go Ill be wearing a mask. Then I was taken to the chair where a super sweet girl named Bridget who put on my braces. She couldn't have been better at her job! This girl is fantastic! She was so gentle, I could have fallen asleep! Her vibe was so calm and soothing I just knew I was in good hands. After she finished she gave me a detailed expiation of everything I needed to know and answered all of my questions. I left there feeling like a queen! I got a super nice super soft shirt I got to choose and a fresh cookie! I LOVE THIS PLACE!!!!!!! read more

If I could give this ortho zero, I would. I was an adult patient here in 2013-2014. Long story short, I didn't like where the ortho was going. They made me get extractions so I got extractions for the ortho which changed my face in a negative way. When I originally went in they also didn't give me any options besides extractions. I asked to reverse it back. He said no. I had already had TMJ and the ortho work was making the TMJ worse. (I went to a TMJ specialist from the begining of treatment to when I decided to stop treatment at Allen so I have proof it got worse). Turns out your actually supposed to fix the TMJ before braces. Something Allen Ortho didn't care about in my case. Any questions or concerns I had, I literally would get eye rolled by Allen. You're a pay check here, they sincerely don't care about you. I would go elsewhere to someone who cares about the patients and not the money. Side note: the staff is very nice. The office is clean. The ortho himself is not caring and that's one of the main parts of an ortho office- how caring your ortho is. read more
