Today I visit Oceanside Smile for my x rays and exam. I was completely happy and impressed with the dentist and staff. If you really want a great experience in a dental appointment. I would 100% recommend Oceanside Smile. The experience i had was if I was visiting my family in my living room. On a scale to one to ten, as an Olyimpic Athlete, the dental experience is by far a 10. read more

The Gold Standard in Dental Care! After a lifetime of dental appointments, I can honestly say that Oceanside Smiles Dentistry has restored my faith in what exceptional dental care should be. I have never experienced this level of excellence anywhere else. The entire team is warm, welcoming, professional, and incredibly skilled. From the front office to the dentists, everyone treats you with kindness, respect, and genuine care. You never feel like "just another patient." I especially want to recognize the dental hygienist, Taylor. I truly don't have enough words to describe how extraordinary she is. Taylor doesn't simply clean your teeth--she treats each tooth as if it matters. While many cleanings can feel rushed, Taylor carefully cleans and polishes every single tooth, one by one, on the inside and then on the outside. Her attention to detail is absolutely incredible. She misses nothing. When I looked in the mirror afterward, I was stunned. For the first time in years, my upper teeth were actually white! I couldn't stop smiling. The difference wasn't subtle--it was remarkable. What makes Taylor so special isn't just her incredible skill. It's the pride she takes in her work, her gentle touch, her perfectionism, and the genuine care she shows every patient. In today's world, it's rare to find someone so dedicated to doing a job with such excellence. If you're searching for a dental practice that truly goes above and beyond, look no further than Oceanside Smiles Dentistry. They have set the bar so high that I can't imagine going anywhere else. Thank you to the entire team for your outstanding care, and a very special thank you to Taylor. You are a true professional, a perfectionist in the very best sense of the word, and an absolute treasure. Oceanside Smiles Dentistry is incredibly fortunate to have you, and so are your patients.e read more

Another extraordinary and amazing visit @ Oceanside Smiles today having my dental cleaning appointment. Taylor was gentle, warm, caring, professional and really really good at her job. Clearly articulating what she is doing and seeing while cleaning my teeth. The entire process was so painless and comforting that I nearly fell asleep (sorry Taylor... hopefully I stopped myself b4 snoring, lol). Thank you for another wonderful visit. read more

This place is the best. Their professionalism is unmatched and the quality of care is first rate. I posted previously a very unfair and one-sided review having misunderstood my results and feel terrible having slandered this place after everything they have done to help me. read more

Great experience. Front desk was professional and respectful. The care I receive from the dental assistant for my X-ray exam was good and he put me at ease and was really reassuring since I was nervous before my appointment and feeling anxious. I appreciated Dr. Carrara professionalism, patience and care in answering my questions during my dental exam. I was hoping to get an appointment in September for my cleaning and they told me my insurance had to approve and had me schedule two appointments in Oct. Would recommend read more

The care and consideration this dentist has was amazing. If you want a good dentist, this is the place.

I was looking for a new dentist for my daughter and we decided to try this office. It was so positive I switched myself. Everyone was super kind, helpful and seemingly thorough. We got x-rays and an initial exam. From the office staff, to the dental assistant, to the dentist himself- great care so far. read more

Awesome dentist, had cleanings, cavities and a crown here. Very nice experience every time!

This was the best experience at a dental office I've ever had. Their equipment is updated, and everyone there is extremely friendly. I highly recommend them. read more

I found it through yelp and the Dental insurance carrier. I was impressed with care and the X-rays were fast but possibly, unnecessary since I had just got them done across the street. I have not been billed until they check my insurance. Overall so far I'm pleased with the service and scheduling. read more

Great service by everyone at this office, staff, hygienist and dentist. I truly appreciate them all. read more

I had an implant done and they were excellent. I would give them 10 stars and will never go elsewhere.

I finally found a dentist that is more concerned with the teeth I have than trying to sell me something else. Robert Carrera is my dentist and he is very friendly, nice and makes you feel like he cares. My hygienist Nicole is also very friendly and concern about getting your teeth nice and clean. The whole staff is friendly and helpful. Too bad they aren't open on Saturdays cause I would be able to send more people there. read more

Scam dental! Rude staff , liars and will be reported for Medicare fraud. Do not use this office. They will lie about hikes in your bill , filled with fraudulent charges. There will be follow through. You have been warned. read more

I visited Oceanside Smiles to have a filling that had fallen off inspected. The office is small and conveniently located near my home. The doctor examined me and suggested a treatment plan, which seemed fine at first. The issues began when I reviewed the treatment plan with the front desk. I asked who I could speak to if the charges didn't match my insurance schedule. The staff member immediately replied, "They're correct--I checked myself," with noticeable attitude. Pro Tip: Always call your insurance company to verify rates before agreeing to treatment. When I contacted my insurance, I discovered discrepancies. For example, a non-standard cleaning was listed at $150, but my plan covers it at zero cost. I informed the staff, but they refused to call my insurance for verification. After multiple emails and attempts by my insurance to reach them, the $150 charge was eventually corrected--but then another unexpected fee was added, which was not part of the original plan. They also tried to charge $45 for a desensitizing treatment, which my plan covers at zero copay when fillings are involved. After back-and-forth communication, the staff told my insurance company that I should go elsewhere. To date, I have not received any follow-up from a manager or the doctor. This experience raises concerns about transparency and willingness to work with insurance providers. I hope this review helps others verify charges before treatment and encourages Oceanside Smiles to improve staff training and communication. read more

This is Oceanside's best-kept dental secret. After a few failed attempts at dental care in Oceanside, I finally found a clinic I like. They say the first person you meet at an office after you walk in sets the tone for the entire office. This is true at Oceanside Smiles. Veronica is polite, welcoming, and kind. Dental assistant Eileen is consistently excellent. Office Manager Daniella is efficient and offers professional guidance for her staff. Dr. Carrara is the best. He actively listens and is caring, gentle, and professional as the chief dentist. Hygienist Lilyeth is the best I've had. She is engaging, kind, professional, and caring. Michelle is top-notch, too. Everyone at this practice is skilled at what they do. Thank you for your service and care. PS. - Love the music read more

I was misleaded by this office. They offered a teeth whitening treatement via Facebook ad for new clients. I made an appiontment because I was looking for a new dentist. When I arrived to the appiontment the placed looked run down not a nice new dental office. After waiting for over 50 minutes because the receptionist could not figure out my insurance they finally rushed me in and then said that they did not have time to do the teeth cleaning. I was so annoyed after wasting an hour waiting. I insist in talking to dentist so the proceedure would be done since I took the day off. They rush threw the process. I asked when they would preform the whitening proceedure and they answered that they did not have the material to do it. They told me to call at the end of the week. I left very annoyed. I called the end of the week, and nothing. After calling several weeks the office manager said that I could pick up the teeth whitening kit. When I finally stop what she gave me was an absolutely a joke. They gave me one pack that was not even worth $6. I google the name of whitening kit and the kit comes with 7 packs, this pathetic office gave me one pack worth about $6. Are you kidding me, they wanted to get a new client for $6. Very unethical and pathetic behavior. Don't waste your time and find a dentish office that values their customers. The pack on this picture is not what I recieved, the office took one individual package and have it to me. Very misleading and unprofessional!!! The positive review was probably from friends and family! By the way there is NO confusion on my part, it's insulting for the owner Andy to say there is. I know exactly what office I went too (3870 Mission Ave Oceanside, CA 9205,) they did run Facebook ads to attract new clients last year, other wise why would they of given me this pathetic one pack of teeth whitening. Owner might not even be aware what his office staff is doing. Even the pictures on Yelp show a banner where they advertising "Now accepting New Patients." Pathetic business, look at all the bad reviews those matter more! read more

After coming here for different types of dental work I must say this is a great, comfortable and very awesome office. Thank you again.

Have been to this dentist office just over a year and everyone has been nice and easy to work with. My last dentist never even tried to get approval for a deep cleaning and wanted me to pay $300-400 out of pocket, yet Oceanside Smiles were able to get my insurance approved. Went for my deep cleaning and, although I heard the procedure was very painful from some of my friends, it was easy and painless. Lilia was a fantastic hygienist and very professional! Highly recommend this place! read more

I love this dentist! Ive always had high anxiety and scared tp go to dentist, every since little girl. This is the first time ever that i go regularly and my anxiety and fear is very low. First dental office I go regularly. He diesnt try to gouge you with unnecessary work like many ithers do. Very honest! read more

I guess they are adequate at their job, but i absolutely hate when they try to upsell people. It's like buying a car, well you'll need this and this. Witnessed a woman being told she had to pay for a procedure she said her insurance already covered. If you need a filling they are probably ok, anything else, get a second opinion. read more

I left a negative review after my first visit mainly because they could not schedule me for the deep cleaning I needed for 3 1/2 months. They eventually got me in much earlier than that and I had a very positive experience on the next visit. The hygienists (Suzie and Lilia) were engaging, informative, and thorough. As a result I definitely plan to continue getting my dental care at Oceanside Smiles. read more
