I will never forget Brian Mudd. So, this is like 13 years late... but years ago, Dr Mudd extracted 6 teeth from me. He removed my wisdom teeth, and two broken molars. I was supposed to get bone grafts to later get implants. I'm super scared of dentists, so they put me under - which was awesome! Unfortunately, the beginning of the nightmare was waking up in the middle of surgery... anyway, once I woke up in recovery, Dr Mudd came in and said that I had the hardest jaw he's ever worked with and told me that they didn't do the grafts because of some complications. Okay, I guess... A week went by and I was in a TON of pain... I called the office and to see if it was normal to still be bleeding and also because my tongue, mouth, lips, were all numb! They said it was normal and keep up care; so I did. Another week or so went by, bleeding stopped and as I was eating lunch, I felt a scratch in my throat. When I coughed, I coughed up a broken piece of DENTAL BURR (later confirmed by a different dentist) that had been lodged in my throat! It looked like a tiny conical drill bit. At this point, I went to another surgeon for a second opinion. They conducted 360° x rays, and showed me that Dr Mudd actually broke my jaw and that the interior side of my mandible had sheered in two and was pinching my nerve... they also showed me that there were dozens of bone shards that were about to push their way through my gums (which they did)! Over the course of the next month, my new surgeon helped me extract the bone fragments and kept an eye on my healing... In the meantime, I was trying to build a case for malpractice, but every lawyer I spoke to told me that Dr Mudd is often used as an expert witness and they would only take my case if I could pay out of pocket because I would likely lose... one lawyer advised me to not speak to the Dr because he said they would likely build a case against me and I would "definitely lose"... as a broke 20-something, I kept on trying to find help, and eventually gave up because I didn't have the money that they told me it would cost to do anything... the one lawyer that actually said he could win was weirdly the lawyer from the band "Rancid"; he's a friend of a friend and said it was "negligence per se", BUT he was too busy and couldn't take my case... after that I was utterly defeated. Like I said, it's been about a decade since then and most of my pain has resolved, but my nerve is still damaged and my lip from about center to the right corner of my mouth is actually HYPER sensitive and always feels like it's asleep. I'm really only writing this in hopes that he sees it, and also because I just had an awesome dental experience and it reminded me of how horrible my last one was... Moral of the story...? I don't know... don't be a broke kid? Research your surgeon? read more

Three wisdom teeth later and I feel great! Everything came out like Dr. Mudd said it would. He's considerate, kind, and to the point. One of those wisdom teeth were sideways and near jaw muscles. Damn, thing bled for a minute, but it was because I had the gauze in the wrong spot! BUT, everyone there was great. Had great meds after and didn't even need more than one painkiller to help eat the first day! Take it from me and I've been under at least 4 times. Anesthesia was the perfect amount! Didn't wake up like I was back in college after a bender and didn't feel much the first night. His staff was great! Shout out to Evaristo, Luiza and Melissa! They were the great staff who got me through my extractions. They called the afternoon of my surgery and gave me suggestions to keep pain-free! Great team! Great doctor! I'd go again if I could, but won't need his services anymore! read more

I had my wisdom teeth removed here. Honestly I didn't even know why I chose Dr. Mudd. Maybe because my choices were limited by my insurance? I'm not sure. It wasn't a 5 star experience and I wish I had gone somewhere else. My nerves on the right side of my chin were damaged from the wisdom tooth extraction and it's been more than 3 years now. It feels like a spot on my chin is still under anesthesia. Slowly I just got used to it and I don't even notice it now until I think about it. I'm not sure if there's any operational error or nerve damage is just part of the risk of such a surgery, because someone I know who went to another surgeon also had nerve damage in her tongue. Wisdom tooth extraction definitely involves risks because it's actually a major surgery. Spend time to do some extensive research to find a highly rated doctor before it becomes an urgency! Besides that, things went okay. I had general anesthesia and went to sleep in 10 seconds, and woke up right after the surgery was done. My wounds healed very well with no complication. The pain was very manageable that I didn't even need the prescribed 500mg ibuprofen. My recovery process went well. So, I can't say if it's the doctor's fault really. But having nerve damage definitely would not make this a 5 star experience lol. I'm sorry if you happen to have nerve damage. It can be scary at first, but our brains do an amazing job to tune it out. I don't notice it's there anymore until I actively think about it! I don't wish this on anyone but if it happens it's not the end of the world! :-) read more

If I could give Dr. Muddy and his staff 10 stars I would. Our daughter had all 4 wisdom teeth removed and she was terrified. Dr Mudd went beyond everything to calm her. I have never seen staff so careing and personable. Go to this office, they are outstanding!! read more

I took my brother here to have his teeth removed. Dr. Mudd was very nice and patient with my brother's situation. We had to have the oral surgery at the TriCity hospital that he is affiliated with which is unusual but had nothing to do with Dr. Mudd or his team. The surgery went off without a hitch. Dr. Mudd and his staff are wonderful. My dentist referred me to Dr. Mudd for two teeth extractions and prep for implants. My dentist will complete the rest of the implant procedure. Dr. Mudd explained the procedure and asked if I had any questions. He answered my questions and I didn't feel rushed so he could go to the next patient. The surgery was a breeze. The assistant said it would be quick. She was right. I was given general anesthesia and it was over very quickly. I woke up in the recovery room and thought "that's it??" I don't even know where to start! But, as a mom it is our job to protect our children. My son went in for a routine removal of his wisdom teeth on October 3rd, 2017. He didn't have any noticeable complications that day. But, after a few days one side if his face looked worse. I got extremely worried and called the office. They seen him right away and said there's nothing for me to worry about. Well, a few days later his face didn't look any better. Again, worried mommy called the office and made him another appointment. Dr Mudd looked at his face and stated it was normal and sent him home. We waited a few more days and my sons face kept getting worse. This time I called the office set the appointment and met my son up their to be present during his appt. His face was absolutely horrible and I just remember Dr Mudd giving him more anabiotic's and pain pills. He said these words to me if it gets any worse call me right away. Well hello Dr Mudd how much worse can it get. But, being a good mom and trusting the dr we filled his Prescriptions and headed home. The next day I had a few obligations and for some reason I forgot to check on Brad when I left the house. My husband met me and the 1st question was did u see Brad before you left. He had said no. It was like the air was removed from my lungs. I immediately looked down at my phone and noticed my son had been trying to call me. I called him back. He said it was worse and he felt like he was dying! I screamed and called the ambulance right away. I dropped everything in my hands and drove as fast as I could to be by his side. By the time I had made it to the hospital he was in the ER in excruciating pain. Even the nurses and the phlebotomist felt horrible for him and stated that they've never seen anything this bad! The next few days that followed were just a nightmare. He had to have emergency surgery to remove the infection which he never had prior to Dr Mudd touching him. It was his top wisdom tooth which isn't connected to the bone and wasn't infected. Needless to say, my sons face has been permanently damaged. He ruined his face and left me with all the bills! My son is a collage student who's life has been completely damaged from this experience. He just cry's every time he sees his face and it's heartbreaking. I'm so sorry it took me a bit to leave this review but, I was hoping his face would heal and it just hasn't. I can not recommend Dr Mudd and would never allow him to touch anyone in my family again! This could be your child. We as parents need to stand together and not allow this to happen to anyone else's child! God bless. read more

I'm a huge snoring person so going under for a few hours was like sleep heaven. The entire procedure was very easy. With in 15 seconds after the needle in my arm was inserted and Dr Mudd said..."here comes the fairy dust" or was it "pixie dust"? With one what ever he gave me I was totally out. The best drug ever known to man is that stuff they use to knock you out for surgery. That medical drug to induce coma. Bravo. And bravo to everyone at Dr. Mudds office again thank you so much. Dr. Mudd and his entire staff are amazing!! Went in for a consultation for my top wisdom teeth that have been bothering me on and off and finally said let's take them out! He was patient and went over the entire process of sedation dentistry with me and made me feel at ease. Had them taken out today and the whole process was about 30 min and didn't feel a thing it was great happy to have them out and not be in pain anymore. For the second time in as many years I was reffered to and sat under the knife of Mr. Brian Mudd. Reluctant to call him doctor at this point due to my self-taught extraction of the pieces of teeth still left in my gums. I thought the first time it happened I may have been the one in a hundred it happened to. Unfortunately it looks as if his attention to detail must have been spent on his nice tan and his fancy car. Now I will spend the rest of my evening using ambesol to numb my tongue as it is cut in several places from the shards of tooth skillfully left in my gums. Looks like another session for my dentistry apprentiship training. I can`t wait for an assistant, so she can pass me suction so i dont have to keep pausing to spit the mouthful of blood into the sink. Lack of attention to detail can be deadly in the medical field,.
