Dr. Bigelow has gotten some bad reviews here. Most seem related to two topics, waiting time and…read morethings related to sleep clinic stuff. I can't speak to the sleep clinic but I can say, yes, I did wait longer than I would normally like too. However, I understand the reason behind the long wait too. Namely that Dr. Bigelow spends as much time as she can with her clients and really tries to understand them and get to know them. She is a specialist after all. I found her and staff to be respectful, kind and helpful. I saw Dr. Bigelow as a Scuba Diver needing specific attention to previous medical conditions and I think she really took her time to understand me, my medical history and help me continue to dive. I'd recommend her and I'd recommend others look a little closer to the reviews and parse though them for a better understanding.

Where do I even begin. We came across several negative reviews before choosing Dr. Bigelow and…read moredecided to give her a chance anyway. That was a mistake. For starters, getting anyone on the phone was nearly impossible. Voicemails were never returned and emails required multiple attempts before receiving any response. When we had no other option but to show up in person, the experience was far from welcoming. Throughout my father's entire time as her patient, Dr. Bigelow never once saw him in person. Not once. For a patient with a serious pulmonary condition, that level of detachment is alarming. To make matters worse, she joined a scheduled Zoom appointment over an hour late with zero acknowledgment. My father's health is not something we take lightly. We have since moved on to a new pulmonologist who actually communicates, shows up, and treats his patients like they matter. Everything the negative reviews said about this practice was unfortunately true. Save yourself the frustration and look elsewhere.

Visiting them feels like seeing good friends. Dr. Chung stays up to date with current practices and makes excellent recommendations. I truly value his opinion and encouragement. My experiences with him have always been smooth and positive. Dr. Chung is attentive, soft-spoken, and makes sure to understand my needs and concerns, clearly navigating all of my questions. Not only is he highly educated and intelligent, but his bedside manner is also incredibly impressive. He cares for his patients from start to finish and takes a gentle, positive approach to health and life. I have chosen Dr. Chung not only as my primary care provider but also as a pulmonary disease specialist because I trust him and appreciate his care. Cynthia Chen, Dr. Chung's medical assistant, is the jewel of the office. She is always pleasant on the phone and in person, and she is one of the friendliest people I have ever met. She greets everyone with her sweet, lovely smile and treats every patient with the same kindness. Because of her caring nature, patients like me often feel better before even seeing Dr. Chung. I can't thank Dr. Chung and Cynthia enough. Both have truly changed my life for the better. I feel healthier because of them, and I appreciate their care more than words can express. My sister has seen her.....She is hands down the best doctor i have ever had. Even in the beginning she remembered me and what was going on in my life. She is easy to talk to and the staff there is great as well. Even if you have to wait to get in with her i would say its totally worth it. The office is in a really convenient location on Divisadero where it meets Castro, and i never have to worry about street parking or meters because there is a parking garage... If you're ever in need of a Dermatologist, Chiro, or any other specialists Dr. Sterman's referrals are great, and i think thats important too...

Lisa is an excellent physician and her network of specialists is also really truly top-notch. She never punts on a recommendation and takes whatever you need to ask about seriously but nonetheless remains candid. She also keeps the communication friendly and encourages updates about more mundane things like work and such that give her insight into what's going on and such. Three important comments: 1) I am a guy and feel 110% comfortable with a female primary care physician (actually feel more comfortable with her than with my male doctors of yore); 2) DO NOT be late. Try it some time and see what I mean. You won't be late ever again! 3) Put your cell phone on vibrate or silent before you enter the office or again push those limits and see what happens. Don't worry, she's not a hard-ass; just trying to make sure we all respect each other and help her stay on schedule etc.

I have had an intermittent and chronic cough for nearly 25 years. It had been coming more…read morefrequently and getting in the way of normal life because I was having coughing spasms constantly. I tried EVERYTHING - I've been to ENTs, allergists, respiratory specialists, acupuncturists and taken steroids, cough medicines, asthma inhalers, chinese herbs, nebulizers... nothing really worked. I also noticed my voice getting more gravelly and tired sounding as I got older. Someone recommended that I see Dr. Yung to see if she had any insights to offer, and I'm so glad I did! Dr. Yung identified that I was overusing my vocal muscles even though my vocal cords were fine. She suggested I start working with Kristen Bond, a voice therapist in her office, to learn to more optimally use my voice. Within a few sessions, I was not coughing anymore and learned the mechanics of how to use my voice without straining it. The tone of my voice is much better and rounder. When my cough returned after a cold, I quickly was able to remedy the chronic cough that followed by using my vocal tools more intentionally. Kristen is absolutely brilliant, a great teacher and I feel like she helped me unlock a whole world of vocal health I didn't even know existed. Working with Kristen truly changed my life - I know that sounds kind of dramatic but I was coughing constantly in meetings, at work, in every conversation I tried to have. She also works with singers who want to gain more power and resonance in their voice , people who speak in front of audiences, and regular people like me who just have a chronic cough that won't go away.

I've dealt with surgeon offices before and can say that Dr. Yung's office was the best of the bunch as far as responsiveness and patience I had so many questions and I concerns about the process but the office staff answered all of them, carefully reading my emails and answering everything in an exceptionally timely matter. Dr. Yung herself had very good bedside manner. She listened to me, answered questions and, when I was about to go under for the surgery, she comforted me by telling me that I was safe. Further, when I was at my first follow-up, I cried from relief that everything was healing well and they turned off the lights and gave me a weighted blanket to help me calm down. The results are amazing. There's still a lot of work to be done but it's all on my side as far as being confident in using the voice that the surgery has made available to me. I've shared my results with other people who have given rave reviews and several of them are planning to consult with Dr. Yung as well. I will always recommend Dr. Yung and her staff.
