They felt an oral surgeon would be the best benefit for her and Dr Brown was consulted and was in-house that day. My mother is on Chemo and one of the side effects is possible bone involvement around the jaw and Dr Brown as well as all of us was acutely aware of this and admitted my mother and scheduled her for surgery the next morning. Everything went well, and my mother is recovering well and back to her normal self. Dr Brown personality is incredible. He's exactly the type of surgeon you'd want treating your mother. Nice, talkative, knowledgeable and cares for not only his craft but his patients. I wouldn't hesitate considering University Oral and Max again or Dr Brown. You're in great hands here!

Now my jaw is dislocated and infected and a fear I will never be able to speak the same or look the same ever again! This supposed dentist office destroyed my life and I promise you they will destroy yours please stay away! Especially your State insurance patients. Please don't get excited that they accept state health insurance. He lays his patients out like they're objects on an assembly line. He doesn't care about the pain or damage he causes he only cares about collecting that state money this place needs to be shut down immediately!

I went to Dr Duhaime to have a few teeth extracted. One wisdom tooth and 2 that had failed root…read morecanals. He discussed with me not to take the roots out of the wisdom tooth, just to cut the top portion of the tooth off so there would be no nerve damage. I had also told him I wanted a dental implant where another tooth was being pulled. When I woke from surgery he told me everything was all set and if I had any problems to call the office. A few days later, I was in a lot of pain and figured it was a dry socket, not to mention there were bony pieces sticking out everywhere! Dr Duhaime had gone out of town and I had to see his stand in. They packed my dry sockets and told me to go back to Dr. Duhaime. When I went back to see Dr.Duhaime he also repacked my dry sockets but said it would get better. I had to go back to him daily for over a few weeks to check my dry sockets and he also removed more of the bony pieces that were coming out. I was still in a lot of pain after 6 weeks and went to my general dentist. He took x rays and found Dr. Duhaime had left me with 2 sets of roots in 2 different areas, including where I wanted my implant! The wisdom tooth roots he left were exposed and causing me unbelievable pain. There was also damage done to the root of the tooth in front of the extraction sight. Again, his response was it needs time to heal. 4 months later, I'm in Michigan and thankfully found an oral surgeon that was able to go back in and fix the mess Dr. Duhaime left. He told me leaving the roots behind usually isn't recommended because they have a high failure rate. Thanks Dr Duhaime for costing me twice as much money to have my teeth fixed because you were having a bad day or just stopped caring?

He is not able to help me due to my medical insurance but did not mind giving me some recommendations of other oral surgeon on a Sunday morning. If he ever takes my medical insurance he is the dentist I would switch to because he obviously cares about patients verses his hours.

The staff at this practice are inconsiderate and rude…read more Apparently they filed a claim with Delta Dental for dental work I had to have performed and the claim was denied. Rather than telling me about the claim denial, giving me a chance to help dispute it with the insurance company which would have been successful, they just billed me the full amount. When I asked for a detailed narrative for the history of the claim, they did not follow through. When I called asking about it (my 3rd request) the person who answered the phone hung up on me. I sent them a certified letter requesting a detailed explanation of the claim history, and they ignored the request. In my opinion, this practice has become very unprofessional and has a sense of entitlement. I recommend finding a different dentist office, which is what I am doing now!

I kept stressing to them how worried I was about the cracked tooth but they kept trying to sell me on getting multiple crowns and a cleaning/antibiotics that was over 2,000. They refused to fill the tooth and locked me in a room for some high pressure car sales techniques. I will get the tooth filled elsewhere, a free cleaning( covered by insurance), and use the other 12,800 on a trip to Europe. I was warned by 2 coworkers about the prices but didn't listen.
