He said what should've happened was that the old capacitor should've been replaced when the system was diagnosed too broken to fix, and I should've only had the normal service charge of about $145 (can't remember the exact number he said). We agreed on a reasonable service charge of $120 (reduced for the trouble) and Jeff refunded the majority of the bill, which I have received in my account. The toilet repair wasn't on the original service order (my mom must've forgot to mention when she called for the appt), which is why there was "no warranty." I really appreciate that these guys are willing to admit something went wrong and make it right.

Fast forward to a couple weeks later when I ran into the same issue two days before another unit was scheduled to have its annual Section 8 inspection completed. Once again I got a same-day replacement at the same great price. Since then I had Airtime replace the furnaces in two more units (four total), and just had them change out a broken garbage disposal and water heater that was on its last legs--suffice to say their plumbing division was just as efficient and professional as their HVAC techs, and the pricing for those was extremely competitive as well. He was scheduled to come on a Monday but called about noon Saturday and said he could do it then, that his guys were nearby. They were there in 20 minutes and checked the filter which was very clean so they showed me that there was no need to change it. What they did find was a capacitor which was within a couple days of failing according to their measurements. With our very hot days here on the coast, we have been running the A/C all day, so I considered it a divine blessing that they happened to come before it failed. The entire cost was totally reasonable, and they also cleaned the A/C condenser unit very carefully using the least amount of water possible. Great company - service, dependability, punctuality, professionalism, expertise, price - all the best in my opinion.
